Chapter 5

When we got back for once I thought they wouldn't interrogate me tonight.

Until I heard loud knocks on my door and I knew it was going to take time before I get to go to bed.

I open the door and both girls storm in.

"What happened earlier?" Maddie asks

"Nothing" I say and decided to look away from them and pretended to tidy up my things but all that I can think of is our kiss.

"What do you mean nothing? you looked different when you entered the study" Sophia says as she approaches me.

"nothing we just talked" I say as I move away from her.

"Amelia Grace Peterson you have two options, you tell us now or we will keep you awake until the morning and trust me you would want your beauty sleep before you meet Alex tomorrow" Maddie says as they both sit on the bed.

I stare at them both for a few seconds and they both just stare back at me.

"Okay fine we kissed and that was it" I say and I turn away to 'fix my things'.

I feel like I wouldn't be able to hear properly anymore after they both started screaming and jumping on the bed.

"What happened after?" Sophia eagerly asks form the bed.

"We got disturbed and we had to get back inside"

"Well, what did he say?" Maddie asks as she lays down on the bed.

"Nothing, we didn't ahve the time to talk about it" I say as I give up with 'fixing my things' and I lay down on the bed.

"What about before we left? He called you right?" Sophia asks

"Yes to remind me of our dinner tomorrow, now is that all your questions?" I ask as they both look at each other then nod.

"I have a question, Do you really have a shoot tomorrow?" I ask Sophia as Maddie looks at her awaiting her answer as well.

"Sadly, yes" she says as she lays down beside Maddie and I.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Maddie asks

"I received the message when we were on our way to the office and you were out with Alex"

I nod my head at her response "What time is the shoot?" I ask

"I need to be there by 10 so I leave by 9 and then I have the fashion show at 6 in the evening and I leave at 5 for that one"

"Okay, Alex will be picking me up at 7, What about you Maddie? Any plans?"

"Only my online date with Mark which is at 8 in the evening"

"Seems like we all have our own schedule tomorrow" I say

"Don't worry, we will have a girls day on Friday since Maddie has to meet Edward on Thursday" Sophia says

"Perfect! It gives us time to shop for the ball, we don't have anything to wear yet" Maddie says as we nod in agreement.

"Okay, Well can you both go back to your rooms now? I want to get to bed already" Sophia says as she closes her eyes on my bed.

"Sophia this is Amelia's room" Maddie says as Sophia opens her eyes and looks around.

"Oh right, sorry, well I am off to bed now in my room" Sophia says while both her and Maddie start to leave my room.

Maddie and I laugh at her as she has a hard time opening the door as well.

Once Sophia finally opens the door, they both go to their rooms and I make sure that my door is lock before I do my night routine.

I head to bed and replay everything today especially the kiss until I fall asleep.

..........The Next Day..........

I woke up at 8 and got ready for the day. I chose to wear an off shoulder white top with a pink denim skirt and white sneakers and a white clutch with a floral design.

When I looked back at the time it was already 9:30 which means Sophia has already left for her shoot so I decided to go to Maddie's room and see if she is available.

I knock on her door and Maddie opens it and tells me to enter. I enter her room and I take a seat on her bed while she does something by the desk on her laptop.

"Hey, I was thinking of heading out, want to come?" I ask

"Where are you going?" She asks still busy on her laptop.

"I was going to shop for something tonight and have breakfast"

"Alright, Just let me finish this one"

We sit in silence with only her Instrumental music playing while she finishes her work, in the meantime I decided to scroll through my social media accounts.

After 30 minutes she finally finishes and we head to a restaurant across the street.

I decided to have Bacon and Eggs with Coffee while Maddie has a Breakfast Burrito and Coffee as well.

"Are you ready for later?" Maddie asks

"I don't know" I say as I take a sip of my coffee.

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"I mean, I am nervous about the dinner after what happened yesterday" I say

Before Maddie can say anything our food comes and I take the opportunity to change the topic.

After we finished eating we went to different shops around the area.

After a few hours of going around I was finally able to find something that I like as well as other things to go with the dress I chose.

..........A Few Hours Later..........

It is currently 6 and Sophia was not able to return to the hotel after her shoot because it ended later than expected, causing her to go straight to the fashion show she was attending but wished me luck tonight.

I get the Black dress that I bought earlier and put it on including a bit of make-up.

I grab my black heels and the black clutch that I bought earlier and place the things that I need.

When I looked at the time it was already exactly 7 and I received a message from Alex saying he was in the lobby. I grab my clutch and head down towards the lobby.

When I get there we spot each other right away and we quickly approach each other.

"Hey, you look gorgeous" he says

"Thank you, you clean up pretty well"

"Thanks, ready?" He asks as he offers his hand to me.

"Yes" I say and take his hand.

We walk out of the hotel lobby and we reach the entrance and the black SUV is there again as well as his driver.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

We made it to a rooftop restaurant with a very beautiful view of the kingdom.

What surprises me is that nobody is here aside from the both of us and one server.

The whole place has a very romantic feel, there are strings of fairy lights around and rose petals all over the place, there is a bit of music playing and at the center is a table for two.

We both ordered steak along with red wine as we got to know each other.

"So what do your parents do?" Alex asks before taking a bite of his steak.

"My mother, Elizabeth, is a teacher while my father, James, is an Architect as well"

"Any siblings?"

"One, older sister her name is Abigail and she works as a Lawyer, What about you any interesting things with you and you're parents?"

"Not much, just that I am being pressured into finding a wife. My father has plans on retiring soon and passing me the crown in a few years"

"Do you want to rule?" I ask as he remains silent for a few seconds before replying.

"Well, I never really had a choice about that, but over time I learned to accept that this is my duty and I must fulfill it" he explains as I nod.

We sit in silence for a few minutes and continue eating until Alex speaks.

"Amelia, I have a question" he says

"Alright..." I  hesitantly say.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
