Chapter 39

I wake up to see Alex still asleep. I decided to get ready first before waking him up.

I go to the closet and grab my outfit and enter the bathroom to take a quick shower.

I put on a light grey shirt with black jeans and black ankle boots. I hold onto my green coat for the mean time since we are still indoors.

I exit the bathroom to start waking Alex

I place my coat on the couch first along with my black sling bag.

"Darling it's time to get up" I say slightly shaking him as he groans.

"We'll be late if you don't get up now"

After a few more minutes of waking him up he finally gets up and stretches before going to the closet.

"I'll be heading down already" I say

"Alright, I'll be down in a few minutes" he says as I grab my bag and coat before exiting the room and going down to have breakfast.

I enter the dining room to spot my parents along with Victoria and Edward conversing with each other until they notice me.

We all greet each other as I sit down and we all wait for the others.

"Where's Alex?" Edward asks

"He's still getting ready" I say as they all nod and go back to their conversations.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

Everyone has arrived and we all satrt to eat our breakfast.

After we eat our breakfast we all make our way to the entrance of the palace where the cars are already waiting.

Alex and I will be riding the first car, Abby and Aaron will take the second, Mom and Dad will take the third and Victoria and Edward will take the last car.

Since we are travelling with the king, queen and the prince or heir to the throne there are lots and I mean a lot of escorts and security coming with us though while inside the orphanage tbey will be staying outside.

We all get in our respective cars and travel towards the orphanage.

While we were planning yesterday we decided to drop off a few gifts as well to the different orphanages meaning we won't be able to stay long since we have other orphanages to visit.

.....A Few Hours Later.....

We've been to several orphanages already but currently we are entering the orphanage that I visited last time.

The other orphanages didn't know who I was since not mich know yet however this one knows who I am.

We enter Alex and I leading the with oiur parents behind us as well as Abby and Aaron.

The moment they saw Alex and I we were both engulfed in hugs and they start talking to us.

-----Elizabeth's POV-----

I watch as the kids surround Amelia and Alex and I can't help but smile.

The children really love them both and you can see the excitement in their faces when we entered.

"She's amazing with the children" Victoria says as we watch both Amelia and Alex.

"She is" I say

"Probably got that from you" she says as I laugh.

"What do you mean me?" I ask

"Well I can tell you love children by the way you cared for them in the other orphanages and plus you're a teacher, you're surrounded with kids everyday" she says as we both laugh and continue to watch both Alex and Amelia playing with the children this time.

.....The Next Day.....

-----Amelia's POV-----

I woke up and checked the time. My eyes widen at the time. It's already 12:30 and I've been asleep this whole time along with Alex who is still sleeping as well.

"Alex get up, It's 12:30" I say as there's a knock on the door.

I open the door to spot Liam "Good Afternoon Ms. Peterson Their Majesties have been requesting for both you and the prince in the king's office"

"We'll be there in a few minutes" I say as Liam nods and leaves as I close the door.

I was going to wake Alex again until I spot him already standing.

"Good morning" he says as he approaches me and kisses my forehead.

"It's already afternoon" I say as his eyes widen and he checks the time on his phone.

"It seems we were both too tired that we both overslept" he says as I nod

"Your parents are waiting for us" I say

"You can get ready first" he says as I shake my head.

"You go first, Sophia and Maddie asked me to call them" I say as he nods and kisses my cheek before he goes to the closet to get his clothes.

I take a seat on the couch and I call both Sophia and Maddie.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

Alex comes out in a grey suit. I end the call with Sophia and Maddie since it's my turn to shower already.

Alex sits down beside me before I get to get up.

"Do you have any plans today?" He asks since he informed me the other day that he has an engagement to attend to this afternoon.

"We'll be finding a dress for the ball" I say as he nods.

We talk a bit more since we barely get time alone this past week.

I get up and grab my outfit and make my way to the bathroom.

.....A Few Minutes Later.....

I exit the bathroom in a white top with denim jeans with a beige cardigan and my usual sneakers.

I walk to the room to see Alex still seated on the couch using his phone.

"Ready?" He asks getting up and puting his phone in his pocket as I grab my phone and placing it in my pocket before answering "yes"

We exit the room with our hands intertwined and walk through the halls as we pass the different staff who work at the palace, each one greeting us with bows and curtsys.

After a few minutes we made it to Edward's office as Alex knocks and we wait for a response before entering.

We enter and spot Victoria seated on one of the couches while Edward is on his computer.

"We've been waiting for you both, it seems you were still asleep?" Victoria says as we take a seat across her and nod our heads.

"Well everyone was looking for you both during breakfast, but anyways we should have lunch now and after we can find dresses for the ball already" Victoria says as Edward sits beside her ans we agree with her.

"Alex do you have anything planned this afternoon?" Edward asks

"I have a quick engagement to attend to, why?" Alex asks

"We need to discuss dome things later when you get back" Edward says as Alex nods and we all get up and start our walk towards the garden for lunch.
