Chapter 27

.....A Few Hours Later.....

After I woke up Alex we had to go back to the palace already since there was his birthday dinner and he told me he will be introducing me to his friends.

Right now I am currently in my room getting ready.

I decided to wear a short sleeve knee length emerald green dress with my locket and black heels.

I placed a picture of Alex on the other side of the locket while the other side is my family.

A knock sound on my door as I approach it I open the door to see Alex in a black suit.

"You look very handsome darling" I say

"And you look gorgeous" he says as he pulls me for a kiss.

After a few seconds we pull apart and make our way to the dining room.

Before we enter we hear people talking. Alex looks at me as I look at him and nod. He nods at me and opens the door as he puts an arm around my waist.

"There you both are" Victoria says

We both smile as we enter and two men and two women stand up to greet Alex.

Alex thanks them before introducing me "This is Amelia my girlfriend, Amelia these are my friends and their girlfriends"

"This is William but you can call him Will and his girlfriend Eleanor" he gestures to a man with dark brown hair and a woman with black hair.

I shake hands with them before Alex speaks again "This is Matthew and you can call him Matt and his girlfriend Emily" I shake hands with both of them as well before we all take a seat

Edward is seated at the end of the table with Victoria at his right, beside Victoria is Eleanor and beside Eleanor is Will.

Alex sits at the other end of the table with me at his right and beside me is Emily and beside her is Matt.

We are served food and we all talk to one another.

"So Amelia what do you do?" Will asks

"I am an architect in New York" I say

"How did you both meet?" Emily asks

I look at Alex asking him if he wants to tell it but he just nods at me and slightly squeezes my hand signaling for me to go on and start.

"I went here for a vacation with my friends and it turns out one of my friend's father knows Edward so they invited us over and we came here, that's how we met" I say as I end the short story, I look at Alex and he has a smile on his face.

"How long will you be staying here?" Matt asks

"I will be going back on Saturday cause I have work next week"

"Do yoy have any vacant day?" Eleanor asks

"I'm not yet sure, why?"

"I was thinking if we could spend time together, us girls"

"That's a lovely idea Eleanor" Victoria says

I look at Alex before speaking "Do we have anything scheduled?"

"Tomorrow, yes but Friday is free"

"Would you mind if I go?"

"Go ahead spend time with them, We have Saturday anyways" Alex says as he continues to hold my hand.

I turn back to Eleanor as she looks back at me "I am free on Friday"

"Excellent!" She says slightly jumping on her seat as we all laugh with her excitement.

I smile back as the others continue to talk and ask questions.

.....A Few Hours Later.....

I continue to laugh as we walk towards my room.

Will and Matt told us a bunch of childhood memories and embarassing moments of Alex.

Alex tries to stop them but they don't.

One of the things that happened to Alex is when he was running around the palace with Will and Matt.

Alex was taking the lead until he bumped one of the servants who was holding a bucket of water. The bucket of water spilled on Alex and the servant.

After Matt and Will told us the story we all ended up laughing and it turns out neither Victoria nor Edward new about it becuase they were in a meeting that time.

They just left a few minutes ago but as I replay the dinner conversation I can't help but laugh at Alex or could it be because of the wine?

Anyways, we make it to my door and I turn to Alex as we look into each other's eyes.

"Thank you for today" he says

"You're Welcome, I hope you enjoyed it"

"I did" he says as I remeber not giving him yet his gift.

"Oh! Wait come here" I say as I enter my room with Alex behind me.

-----Alex' POV-----

I follow Amelia in as she goes towards her night table and gets something.

She hands me a black box with a white ribbon around it.

I open it to reveal a new watch, I smile down at her.

Before I get to say anything else she turns the watch around.

I see some words engraved as I read what was written on the watch

'I love you forevermore' -Lia

I smile and before she can say anything else I kiss her for a few seconds until we both pull apart, out of breath.

"Thank you, I love it, but you didn't have to get me anything"

"I know but I wanted to" she says "besides it's not everyday you turn 27"

I smile as I hug her "Thank you for everything"

"You're welcome, Want to watch a movie?"

"Why not?"

I got to my room to change as she does the same. After I change I went back to her room and wee both get on the bed and watch Jumanji. I put my arm around Amelia as she put her head on my chest.

We did not even reach half way in the movie yet, before I hear soft snoring.

I look down to see Amelia peacefully sleeping already.

I continue to watch some more until I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore and I let myself sleep.
