Chapter 61
Mr. Sallow's Sinful Wife by Maisie Chasey
Chapter 61 Nicholas Was Furious Nancy immediately stopped crying.
Her tears just stopped like that.
However, Nicholas was confused and couldnât describe his feelings-a mixture of emotions and a deep loneliness.
âWhy are you so scared when I kiss you?â
He gently caressed Nancyâs cheek with his slender fingers while he hid his emotions in those. deep, dark eyes.
Nancy tilted her head. Anything she said would only make her embarrassed by now.
Returning to his seat, Nicholas continued to drive, He drove normally this time.
When she reached home, Nancy took her clothes and went directly to the bathroom to shower.
She was tired and wanted to go to bed early after bathing.
She didnât want to think about the relationship between Nicholas and Madelline today.
After so many incidents today, Nancy needed to calm down.
Moreover, she needed to rest well for her babyâs sake.
Her baby was her priority now.
However, as she lay on the bed, Nancy didnât expect a pair of strong hands to pull her body.
Her petite body immediately was lying on Nicholas body.
Her body was pressed against Nicholasâ body. Her breath was against his breath, and her heart was connected to his.
They were so close.
Her head was leaning on his heart.
As long as Nancy gently lifted her head, she could see his impeccably handsome face.
However, Nancy didnât lift her head.
1/4 She just lay on his chest and quietly listened to their heartbeats.
Nicholas didnât say anything, and nor did she.
The room was tranquil until they could hear the sound of their breathing.
After a long silence, Nicholas finally spoke. âYou were in hospital today, werenât you, Nancy? Madelline and I saw you there.â
âWhy did you lie to me that you were at school?â
Nancy pouted. She didnât want to discuss that issue anymore.
This discussion would only remind her of her discomfort and break her heart again. What was the point?
Nicholas waited for a few minutes.
There was only silence. Nicholas didnât get any answer or explanation at all.
All of a sudden, the scene reappeared in his mind. Nancy and a man stood side by side at the school gate. She even smiled and gave something to that man.
Thinking of this, Nicholas was heartbroken and jealous.
Not receiving any reply from Nancy, Nicholas could only continue asking, âYou went all the trouble lying to me just for meeting that man and dating him?â
Initially, Nancy thought to ignore him.
However, she couldnât tolerate being accused like this by Nicholas.
Nancy was furious. She raised her head and stared at him angrily. âNicholas, donât you have any conscience? How could you accuse me like this?â
âNancy, I saw that with my own eyes.â
Nancy was even more furious with this statement.
Did it mean whatever he saw with his eyes was true?
Was Nicholas convinced that she and Christian were dating?
It pissed her off.
If it werenât for Christianâs help all this time, Nancy didnât know what would have happened to 2/4 her.
Nancy only bought her savior a cup of coffee, but Nicholas made it sound like she was cheating on him.
Nicholas was being unfaithful. He was the one who betrayed their marriage. How could he accuse her instead?
Nancy felt that all the anger kept for a long time was exploding.
âNicholas, I admit I stood with a man at the school gate, but it was just a normal interaction between friends. What made you so sure that I was on a date?â
âBesides, how dare you accuse me? What about you and Madelline? You are married, yet you go to the hospital daily to see a woman obsessed with you. Have you ever thought of my feeling?â
âMadelline knows you have a wife. Why is she still seducing you?â
âNicholas, Iâm not guilty and have a clear conscience. Youâre the one being sneaky. Why does everything become my fault now?â
After speaking. Nancy straightly tried to distance herself from Nicholasâ body.
She really couldnât stay here any longer. She felt suffocated.
How could you do this to me?
Nicholas, you bastard! You canât bully me like this just because I like you.
You and Madeleine were guilty, but in the end, both acted like you were innocent and blamed me.
It was ridiculous.
Because of loving him, Nancy was willing to be wronged sometimes.
She was always generous and didnât put many things into her heart.
However, she couldnât tolerate nor allow being bullied by Nicholas and Madelline again and again.
âWhat are you doing?â
Seeing Nancy walking away, Nicholas stood up suddenly.
âItâs none of your business.â
Opening the door, Nancy was ready to walk out.
3/4 Nicholas rushed to her and immediately closed the door in front of her while looking at her. âStay here with me.â
âGet out of the way! Iâm free to go to wherever I want. You couldnât stop me!â
âYou want to be free?â Nicholas snorted coldly. âWhere do you want to go? Are you going to find. that man? When did you meet such a man? Why didnât I know about it?â
Hearing Nicholas mentioned âthat manâ, Nancy felt even more annoyed.
Christian saved her several times and helped her a lot. Calling him âthat manâ sounded too rude. and disrespectful.
âNicholas, he has a name. Please be respectful!â
Hearing Nancy defend that man, Nicholas felt even more furious.
As he remembered, Nicholas hadnât been this angry for a long time.
The last time Nicholas was furious was when his grandfather forced him to marry Nancy. He was forced to accept it despite having tried hard to resist it.
Even when Madelline was sent out of the country, Nicholas was not so angry. He could only watch Madelline walked further away until she left his world completely.
But this time, Nicholas admitted that Nancy had made him so angry.
They had only known each other for a few days, yet she was already protecting that man.
âNicholas, you bastard, why are you so unreasonable?â
In the end, Nancy was so angry that she burst into tears. âWhy only you can meet your ex? A phone call from her makes you leave everything behind to be with her and care for her. What about me? Canât I even have a friend? Do you have to question and doubt me this way?â
âNicholas, why are you so unfair? Let me warn you! You canât bully me easily. You can find your first love and make out with her.
Hence, I can also find a young man. Why is it only allowed for you but not me?â
Nancy was also furious, so she spilt out everything.
Nicholasâ eyes turned red because he was so angry. He stared at her coldly and said firmly, âNancy, repeat it!â
