Chapter 50
Mr. Sallow's Sinful Wife by Maisie Chasey
Chapter 50 Nancy Is Angry âNicholas, youâre here.â
Madelline immediately softened her voice and spoke pitifully as soon as she saw him.
Her hand was placed on the table. Bright red blood was flowing out.
Nicholas saw it at a glance.
He walked over, grabbed Madellineâs hand, and asked nervously, âHow did that happen?â
Madelline said nothing and only pretended to be pitiful.
As if she had suffered a great grievance.
âBring me a scarf. Nicholas waved and ordered.
Soon, the waiter brought the scarf and handed it to him respectfully.
Nicholas bent down and wrapped the scarf around Madellineâs wrist with his slender fingers.
His slender figure was facing away from Nancy. Nancy couldnât see the expression on his face.
However, she could imagine it.
Nicholas must be extremely anxious and nervous.
As for her, she seemed to be invisible at the moment, completely ignored by Nicholas.
She lost.
Completely lost.
Without the courage to stay any longer, Nancy got up and left the coffee shop.
The wind blew violently at some point outside.
Even the sky became gloomy. Black clouds seemed to cover the entire city.
Itâs so cold.
Looking at the dark sky, Nancy couldnât help shivering.
She hugged her arms tightly, took out her mobile phone, and wanted to take a taxi home.
The taxi arrived. Just when she was about to get into the car..
1/5 Suddenly, she felt something heavy on her.
As soon as she turned around, Nicholas stood behind her, putting his coat on her.
Why did he get out?
Didnât he unwilling to separate from Madelline that his heart ached terribly?
âWhy didnât you say something when you came out?â Nicholas looked at her and spoke with a low and gentle voice.
As if the person who was nervous about his first love just now was not him. The one to blame is Nancy.
âYou were so lovey-dovey, I donât have the nerve to bother you,â Nancy said.
This time, the impatient voice of the driver came from the taxi, âMiss, are you still taking the car? Donât waste my time.â
Nancy was about to say âYesâ, but Nicholas quickly closed the car door and said to the driver, âNo.â
âWhy donât you say it earlier? Isnât this delaying my business in vain?â
âGive me your PayPal number.â Nicholasâ words were concise.
The driver immediately handed it over. Nicholas directly transferred 14 dollars. The driver immediately smiled after he heard the notification.
Before leaving, he did not forget to mediate the quarrel, âMiss, your husband is nice to you, so donât be angry. Between a couple, thereâs no such thing as an overnight feud; you should reconcile quickly.â
After that, the driver stepped on the accelerator and disappeared into the sea of cars.
Nancy looked at the disappearing car, annoyed.
She lowered her head, not looking at Nicholas, and kicked the stones on the ground with her toes. âYou made me miss my taxi.
How can I go back?â
After speaking, she felt a warmth in her hands.
Her soft and fair little hand was wrapped in Nicholasâ palm the next moment.
Itâs windy. Is it cold?â
âItâs not cold,â Nancy said.
Then she took off his coat and threw it directly to Nicholas.
2/5 He looked at her intensely and asked, âAre you angry?â
Nancy turned around and deliberately ignored him.
Nicholas turned until he was face to face with her.
Of course, Nancy could not forgive him so easily. She remained silent and continued to ignore him.
Nicholas also noticed it. He didnât force it; instead, he returned his coat to Nancy.
Nancy reached out and was about to throw his coat down again. Nicholas pulled it up and put it on again. At the same time, he said thoughtfully, âItâs windy, so put it on. Donât catch a cold.â
âYour hands are as cold as ice cubes. How come you said youâre not cold?â
He continued to hold her hand in his palm and warm it carefully.
âWhat do you care?â
Nancy wanted to retract her hand, but Nicholas held it tightly. Nancy tried several times to resist but to no avail. She had no choice but to let him hold her hand.
At this time, Madelline came out in a wheelchair.
When she saw Nicholas, she looked like she was crying again, looking incredibly weak.
âNicholas, are you going to leave me alone?â
âMr. Sallow.â At this time, Lynn ran over, panting.
Nicholas looked deeply at Madelline, then ordered in a cold voice, âSend her to the hospital to treat her wound.â
âYes, Mr. Sallow.â
âNo, I donât want him taking me there.â Madelline instinctively refused.
But Lynnâs speed was incredible. He immediately pushed Madellineâs wheelchair toward the underground garage.
After they left, Nicholas looked at Nancy and explained, âAs a medical student, you should know that the place where her cut is an artery. If the blood continues to flow, it will be very dangerous.â
âThatâs why I bandaged her upâ
âOh!â Nancy said lightly.
3/5 She didnât pay attention to the injured part of Madellineâs hand just now.
If the artery is cut, itâs indeed more dangerous.
âThen do you feel better now and forgive me more?â Nicholas asked expectantly.
âNo.â
Nancy answered decisively.
The wind outside was getting stronger.
The trees were blown crooked. The leaves were trembling wildly. The clothes of pedestrians were blown up by the strong wind, almost unable to keep warm.
However, Nancy felt much warmer in her palms. Nicholasâ coat covered her ankles, and she wore knee-high boots. Her whole body was wrapped tightly.
When she turned around again, she saw Nicholas was only wearing a casual top and a pair of grey trousers. The tip of his nose was red from the cold, and his handsome face looked so cold that there was no warmth at all.
In the end, Nancy couldnât bear it, so she said, âLetâs go back.â
âGood.â
Nicholas immediately took her hand and walked towards the underground garage naturally.
When the driver saw Nicholas, he immediately got out of the car and opened the door. âMr. Sallow.â
âThereâs nothing to do today. You go back first.â
âGood.â
Nancy looked at the back of the driver leaving, then turned to look at Nicholas. âThen how do we go back?â
Nicholas opened the co-pilotâs door and pushed Nancyâs petite body in. Then, he got into the driverâs car by himself.
âDidnât you just say that I drove away your driver? Then, Miss Nancy, are you satisfied with this good-looking driver?â
âWhere is the good look? Shameful.â
As soon as she finished speaking, Nancy suddenly felt Nicholas leaning towards her.
4/5 His face was getting closer and closer to her.
The tip of his nose almost touched the end of hers.
Nancy put her hands on both sides of the seat, holding her breath nervously. She suddenly didnât dare to move.
What was he going to do?
At this moment, Nancyâs mind was full of this question.
With such a close distance and ambiguous posture, Nancy couldnât help but think about it.
Did he want to kiss her?
Did he want to kiss her or what?
When Nicholasâ lips slid across the tip of Nancyâs nose, she closed her eyes nervously.
The lips were tender and pink as if waiting for someone to kiss them.
