Chapter 8: Secrets and friendships
Hierarchy: Royalty's rules
3rd person POV
Royalty couldn't concentrate on the movie playing, she just kept on think about Martina and telling Jayden.
"Martina was my best friend" Royalty blurted then looked at Jayden. Jayden paused the movie then gave his full attention to Royalty.
"Martina and I have been best friend for the longest time, but I didn't attend King Leonis Academy with her cause I was homeschooled" Royalty said and looked at her feet.
"So why attend after her death?" Jayden asked. "Cause I only came to the academy to find out who killed her and possibly give the person jail time." Royalty said and looked Jayden in the eye.
"Well that's not bad if my best friend was also killed I would do the same thing but how do you know if she was murdered?" Jayden asked
"She sent me letters and I know she was" Royalty said with a shrug. "That's shocking really" Jayden said and side hugged Royalty.
'Should I tell him I'm not as poor as he thinks?' Royalty asked herself. " You have been staring at me for a long time now, is there something else you want to tell me?" Jayden asked.
"I don't know if it's the right time to tell you" Royalty said slowly. "It's cool really" Jayden said and they both resumed their movie.
..................................................................................................
It was the next morning, Mrs Bartels had made breakfast for the kids and left a note saying she had a morning shift at the hospital.
Royalty was the last to wake up. She had a mindset of a lot of things and one was about brushing, if she doesn't brush in the morning she wouldn't speak cause of bad breathe.
So she went to find Jayden.
"Good morning Royal" Jayden greeted then got a nod from Royalty. " Mum made eggs and bacon for breakfast will u have some?" He asked and got another nod from Royalty.
"Is there a reason you aren't speaking?" Jayden asked and she nodded again. She smiled with her teeth and pointed at it.
"Oh you want to brush first" Jayden said and got a nod from Royalty. He went up to his room and gave her a spare toothbrush.
"You can use anything you want in here and when your through come join us for breakfast" he said and went downstairs.
Royalty brushed her teeth, washed her face and braided her hair then went down to join Jayden and Olivia.
After breakfast Olivia went to her room to finish of her school work while the teens went to Jayden's room to also do their school work.
"Can I drop you off or........?" Jayden asked. Royalty tilted her head then went back to her school work. "Come on Royal" Jayden said but got no response from Royalty so he sighed and used a pillow to hit her face.
"I'm doing school work Jayden" Royalty said with a giggle. "Can I drop you off?" Jayden asked again but Royalty didn't answer him.
He pinned her down and began tickle her. Royalty was a laughing mess, she couldn't even say a proper sentence. "No no no" Royalty said after she got Jayden off her.
"Can I drop you off?" He asked again but Royalty thought twice then decided to answer him. "I will call one of my brothers" she said but it sounded like a question.
"Why though, I'm I am an embarrassment" Jayden asked with fake sadness then got of the bed. Royalty felt sad she can never think Jayden was an embarrassment.
"Jayden, I can never think that of you" Royalty said and went to place her hand on his back but he shrugged it off.
That made Royalty sad. Her first male friend was sad cause of her. She felt wetness on her cheek, it turns out she had started crying.
Royalty snuffed, cleaned her tears and packed her books then left Jayden's room.
Jayden didn't expect her to cry, he was just kidding but it turns out she took it seriously.
Royalty had already called Silas to come pick her up and gave him her location.
"Shit" Jayden said and went to find Royalty.
"Royalty" Jayden yelled through out the house but got no response.
"She has gone home, her brother came by to pick her up, what did you do Jay, she was crying and seemed really sad" Olivia said, looked at her brother then went to her room.
This wasn't what he hoped for.
