Chapter 7: The Bartels

3rd person POV

Royalty and Jayden had become close, they are lunch together and hung out after school sometimes. It was Friday and they both were going to hangout at Jayden's house.

So after school they met up at Jayden's old truck. Then they got in and Jayden began to drive.

"What do u want for your birthday?" Royalty asked him. "Hmmm, I have been saving up to get a new car which I will get next year but for this year I want a full day out with you maybe if your down for it." Jayden said.

Royalty found his rumbling cute so she giggled and nodded. "I will love to spend a day with you on your birthday" she said. "What about you?" Jayden asked. "I don't need anything, I have everything I want" she said with a sad smile.

Royalty always spends her birthdays with Martina and her family. But next year will be different.

When they got to Jayden's house, Jayden turned to look at her, " My little sister is on a whole other level of craziness" he said with a chuckle and unlocked the car doors.

They both went into the house together and Jayden yelled "I'm home". He led Royalty to the living room and went to get water for her.

"Jay jay, mom left a while ago" A little girl said as she bounced down the stairs, she then ran to the kitchen. "Hi Olivia" he said and picked his little sister up while holding the glass of water.

Jayden carried her to the living room and handed the water to Royalty. "Thanks" Royalty said and looked up to Jayden who had a little girl in his hands.

"Olivia this is my close friend Royalty, Royalty, my little sister Olivia" Jayden introduced. "Hi cutie" Royalty said and stood up. Olivia hid her face in Jayden's neck.

Olivia had never seen a girl as pretty as Royalty. " You don't want to be my friend?" Royalty asked sadly just to get Olivia's attention. "She's pretty Jay jay" Olivia said out loud which causes Jayden and Royalty to laugh at her cuteness.

After a while Olivia warmed up to Royalty and they played together. Royalty didn't know when it became dark outside. "Royalty" Jayden yelled from downstairs. " Come on let's go" Royalty said to Olivia and they both went downstairs together.

Jayden had her phone in his hands. " You have 14 missed calls from your dad, 2 from Silas and 23 from Sully?" Jayden said and handed her the phone. She saw the time and was shocked.

"Oh no, how is it 8:27 already, my dad is gonna kill me" Royalty said and began to call her dad. She was so caught up with the Bartels that she didn't know what the time was.

She called her dad and explained what happened but apologized. Her family was just worried cause she hadn't called them since.

"Thanks papa, bye" she said and ended the call. "Hmm, Liv would you be happy if I slept over?" Royalty asked and got a squeal from Olivia.

After a while Olivia went up to have her bath and Royalty was with Jayden in the kitchen preparing dinner.

"Did u know Martina?" Royalty asked from the blue. "Yes I do, why?" Jayden asked with a raised eyebrow. "Tell me about her" Royalty said.

"Martina was a good person, she became friends with Sebastian or Sebastian became friends with her but they both were friends.. Martina was bullied but she was happy which was weird, she became distant  from Sebastian then the next day she was gone." Jayden said as he put the pies in the oven.

"Sebastian Cortez, she was friends with him?" Royalty asked then sighed. She decided to tell Jayden the truth but after dinner.

There was a knock on the door. "I'll get it" Royalty said and went to get the door. She saw an elderly lady who was maybe in her mid thirties at the door.

"Hi?" The lady said confused. A stranger had opened her home for her. "Mum" they both heard Olivia's voice say. The lady then picked up Olivia.

"This is Royalty, Jay Jay's girlfriend" Olivia said. "No no, we are close friends..... Hi Mrs Bartels" Royalty said with a smile.

They both went to the kitchen with Olivia who was still in Mrs Bartels arms. Jayden had already set everything up for dinner.

"Hey mom" he said and pecked his mum.

They had dinner together then Mrs Bartels took Olivia to bed while the two teenagers stayed in the living room together.

'Jayden isn't a bad person ND he welcomed me to his home, I think I can trust him enough to tell him my secret' Royalty thought as she watched Jayden pick a movie.
