Chapter 9: Avoiding him?

3rd person POV

Royalty didn't talk about what happened with Jayden to her family cause it was her fault. She could have just told him the truth but she didn't.

It was finally Monday and another school day. Alexander drove her to the bus stand told her to call if anything happens.

She got to school and went to her locker to keep her books. She had her first class but in her second class Jayden was in it.

So she tried to avoid him by coming in some seconds before the teacher. She did that through out third period and lunch.

"Seems like your avoiding him" she heard from behind her which made her startled. She turned around to see Sebastian Cortez.

"You did that during third period and just now" Sebastian said. "Your watching me?" Royalty asked and got a hum in response.

"That's creepy" she said. "I'm Sebastian Cortez" Sebastian said with a smirk. "I know" Royalty responded and walked out on him.

Sebastian had never seen or witnessed a girl walk out on him, so he was quite intrigued by her.

"Royalty" she heard Jayden's voice and decided to hid somewhere so she went to the library.

She stayed there till fifth period, but she had sixth period with Jayden and the Elite group. She sighed and went to her fifth period class.

"I will make a grouping list for the project, you all know I don't separate studenta based on their tie so have fun with the partner you get" Royalty's fifth period teacher said and dismissed the students.

She went to her sixth period class and sat with her head on the desk. Two boys sat by her left and right but she didn't pay attention to it to notice it was Sebastian who sat at her right and Jayden sat by her left.

She looked up when the teacher began to teach. The she noticed them both, she was stuck between her first male friend who she was avoiding and a boy who creepied her out.

She took in a deep breath then paid her attention to the teacher. "Meet me at the courtyard after school" Sebastian whispered into Royalty's ear then got a nod from her.

Jayden was confused, Sebastian was the reason her best friend died but she wants to hang out with him."I'll drop you off today" Jayden said after the class was over.

So after school, Royalty went to the courtyard to met Sebastian. "I'll like to be your friend" Sebastian said with a smirk.

"Why though?" Royalty asked with a tilted head.

"You remind me of a friend of mine and your cute" Sebastian said. "We can hangout and get to know each other better" he offered her a thought.

"I will think of it" Royalty said and began to walk to the school's parking lot. Sebastian grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to him. He gave her a card with his number on it.

"Call or text me" he said. Royalty looked at the card then put it in his shirt pocket. " No thank you" she replied and went to met Jayden, Sebastian chuckled softly and went to catch up with Vance and Landon.

"How could he?" The girl who had been watch Royalty and Sebastian asked herself.

"I will have to take care of her now, Sebastian is mine alone." The girl said with frustration and screamed.

Royalty met Jayden at his truck. Jayden was leaning on it while he waited for Royalty.

"You wanted to see me" Royalty said as she was close enough to Jayden.

"I'm taking you home" he said but Royalty Shaked her head no. Jayden knew she was avoiding him but she still came after he asked her.

"Royalty" Jayden said and placed a hand on her shoulder, she looked at his hand then at his face. She had unshed tears in her eyes.

"Hey, I'm so sorry about what happened yesterday, I was just joking around I didn't mean to hurt you" Jayden said and hugged her tightly.

That's when she broke down in tears. She liked Jayden as a friend and she would never think of hurting him but when he said that stuff yesterday she felt awful.

"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, if you don't want me to drive you home there is no problem" he said and got a nod from her.

"You can drive me home" Royalty said and looked at him. Jayden was happy and nodded so they got into his car.

She was going to tell him her truth.
