12. It's Complicated

Wrote this chapter in hurry so please ignore the mistakes also sorry for the delay my mom made me clean the house with her can't runaway from her Hehehehe......

Mahi's POV:

"I am so tired, we have been continuously practicing for the past 5 hours. Let's leave the rest for tomorrow." Rishi whined like a child and we all laughed.

"Okay let's wrap, we will begin tomorrow." Sameer said and we nodded.

"Hey guys let's go for dinner, it's almost 8." Rishi suggested as we all were collecting our stuff and instruments.

"Rishi, we had lunch together in the afternoon." Karan reminded him.

"Yea but not everybody was there." Rishi reasoned and everyone looked at me.

"Yea where were you? We left you because you were sleeping like a pig but when we came back you were not here." Sameer asked, coming closer to me, he kept his elbow on my shoulder.

Don't even remind me of Mr Jerk, he never let go a chance to make fun of me and praise himself. Such a narcissistic person, I don't know how his employees and his friends cope up with him.

"You guys left me so Aparna aunty asked Mr Mehra to take me for lunch." I lowered my shoulder making him stumble. "And don't call me a pig if you don't want your nose broken." I said with an extra sweet voice.

"I'm so sorry jam, we have a show in a few days and I don't want to perform with a broken nose, Please have mercy." he pretended to be scared and I can only roll my eyes on his third class overacting.

"So decided, we are going for dinner. Mahi invite Nitya too and I will inform Priya also." Rishi said and picked up his phone, probably to call Priya.

"All you need is a reason to be with your girlfriend." Karan teased him.

"You will never know how it feels to not get enough time to spend with your girlfriend, but she wanted to congratulate all of us on this so I am inviting her OKAY!" he emphasized on the last word and went outside to talk to Priya.

"He is determined, we can not do anything" we all laughed together and left the room after packing our stuff. I messaged Nitya and she agreed in an instant as we haven't seen each other since I shifted.

As we went down the lobby Mr Ahmad bumped into us and informed us that tomorrow we are supposed to finalize the venue and inform Mr Mehra. Sameer said he will handle it himself and we all agreed.

We all exited the building "Where are we going?" I asked as we made our way to the parking area.

"Our usual." All three boys said in unison. We settled in our cars, I was with Sameer while Karan and Rishi were in one car. They were neighbors so Rishi always came with Karan in his car.

We reached the restaurant where we usually come. Nitya and Priya were already there waiting for us. "Is this a Miracle? Girls are here first!" Rishi said in a dramatic tone only to get a smack from Priya on his arm.

We entered and the waiter showed the place for us to settle. "Congratulations guys you all are finally having your official first show." Priya was more excited than Rishi, indeed they both are made for each other and we all thanked her.

"Congratulations guys for your show and also for joining Shine." This time Nitya said.

"Thanks a lot cupcake, I was waiting for your wishes." And here goes the idiot.

"Sure Sameer, how can I not wish you after all my wishes are your lucky charms." Nitya retorted with a smirk, I need to stop this or else we won't be able to eat in peace.

"Oh ye–" He opened his mouth to say something but I placed the menu card in his mouth.

"Why don't we order something first? I am sure you both will need energy in order to bicker." I started to look at the other menu card and all did the same. Everyone present here knows that these two can never sit quietly with each other around.

Even though Nitya is a very calm and relaxed kinda person, no one can say why she becomes so anxious and annoyed whenever Sameer is around. On the other hand Sameer has always been like this, witty and mischievous.

We all ordered our food and waited for it. We talked about our recent life updates and also the old high school and college days.

"Those days were great, at least we didn't have to work this hard and used to hang out all the time." Rishi said thinking about our old days.

"Yea because those were the days when you started dating and you were always busy praising your girlfriend's beauty." Karan said, looking at the couple and Priya only blushed at his words.

"But seriously we all have been together for so long, time really changes so fast." Karan said as we all thought it's really been long.

I and Nitya have known them since we were in high school, even though they were our seniors our bond became stronger because we all loved music but Karan, Rishi, Sameer and Priya have been together since they were small children.

"And we all will be together for a long period of time." Priya said and we all smiled at her words.

The waiter came and served us our food. "How about drinks?" Rishi asked and looked at everyone.

"No, not at all. I can't handle a bunch of crazy kids." Karan said shaking his head in no. He is the only one who is a grown-up in actual sense among us.

"Don't be a killjoy Karan, let us enjoy." Rishi said in a pleading tone and Karan rolled his eyes.

"You can have it if you want. I won't, not today, I have to wake up early to check the venue." Sameer said as he stuffed his mouth with a spoonful of his chicken biryani.

"Whatever suits you, just don't drink like it's your last day to live." Karan shrugged his shoulders and we ordered our drinks.

We received our drinks and continued with our chit chats. "Oh god isn't he Kabir Mehra?" Priya jumped on her seat and we all looked in the direction where she was looking.

There he was with a small group of people. He wore a navy blue suit, hair perfectly styled and as always his silver bracelet shining on his wrist. Wait why the hell I'm observing him. Focus on your food Mahi!

"Is that Shreya Mishra and Ahan Butt?" Nitya asked confusingly as they were far from us.

I looked into their direction and saw that her arm was entangled with his.

"They must be here for their upcoming movie." Priya said, looking at them intently.

"What upcoming movie?" Karan asked confusingly.

"Arey he is the owner of your agency and you don't even know about his upcoming project. His upcoming thriller/mystery movie is one of the biggest projects of this year and the leads in that movie are Shreya and Ahan." Priya explained and we all looked toward the table where they all settled.

"The shooting is going to start next month and everyone is very much excited for this movie." Sameer said as he sipped on his mocktail.

"The people are taking a lot of interest in this not just because of the movie but also the cast and the director." Priya smirked and I raised my eyebrow at her statement.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked and she just smiled.

"Ahan is the best and the only friend of Kabir in this film industry and Shreya is the rumored girlfriend of Kabir. The controversy is Kabir casted them both because of personal relations on the other hand people say that they are the best actors in the industry so it's natural for him to cast them. People want spice and nowadays they are the hot topic." Priya explained.

The entertainment industry really never lets people keep their private life "private". Once you enter, the people wait for you to do something so they can get a topic to discuss, to make their boring life a little entertaining.

"Of course he will be in the talk after all he is The Kabir Mehra." Rishi emphasized on his name.

"They must be here for dinner together as the casting is finally done." Nitya said, looking at them.

"Whatever it is guys, why make him the center of discussion when we are here for our fun." Rishi, Priya and I toasted our drinks. "Cheers!!!" I gulped down the whole glass and it burned my throat.

"Take it slow." Nitya and Sameer said in unison.

"Chill guys, I won't get drunk." I said as I took Nitya's glass too and gulped it down in a go.

"Jam we know your alcohol tolerance level so for god sake don't drink this much." Sameer took the glass from me and by now my head started to spin. Shit maybe I should have controlled.

"I promise I won't drink much but just one more glass." I tried to reach for the bottle but Karan took it away.

"Oh no she is drunk, told you guys to not drink but well who listens to me." Karan complained.

"Dude just chill and enjoy." Rishi finished his second glass.

"Baby don't drink much." Priya said to Rishi and took a sip from her glass.

"Sameer you douchebag d-don't fight with my Nitya all the time o-or or else I will break y-your nose" I kept my finger on his nose and he just smiled

"D-don't smile you idiot." I smacked his arm.

"Okay I won't fight and smile, come on let's get you home." Sameer grabbed my hand making me stand up from my place.

"Karan take Rishi and Priya home, I will drop Mahi and Nitya." He said to Karan and he nodded. We left the restaurant and Sameer went to get his car. Nitya held me straight by my arm.

"My p-phone? Where is m-my phone?" I looked in my pockets but it was not there.

"Maybe you left in the restaurant, wait we will aske Sameer to get it." Nitya said.

"N-no, I want it right now." I tried to go inside but she stopped me.

"Acha baba wait here I'll get it for you but don't go anywhere just stand here still okay." She ordered and I nodded.

I stumbled on my feet and was about to kiss the ground but a strong arm held me, saving me from falling. I looked at him, my vision was blurry so I blinked 4-5 times to get a better view of the person's face.

I closed my eyes and opened it again looking at the person in front of me. "Mr Jerk is this you?" these were the last words before everything went black.
