Why didn't I just stop at high school. Learning things against my will is never ending. College classes feel even longer than high school, which sucks because I was dreading them then too.

October has only just began and it has lasted way too long. Why can't it just be winter break already. The thought of winter time in New York starts my day dreaming about something new. The holidays seasons would be much more enjoyable if I had a special person to spend them with, but who am I kidding? Who needs a girlfriend when I have Cam.

Before I can focus on class again, it's over, and everyone around me is packing up their belongings. I rush out the door longing for the smell of fresh air.

I have some time to kill before my last class so I might as well go to the library to study. The breeze of autumn immediately hits me as I walk out of the building. I put my headphones on in hopes to put my mind somewhere else, so I don't focus on how cold I am.

The walk from the building I was in to the library wasn't too bad, and as I turn a corner I feel a tap on my shoulder. When I turn around Paige is standing in front of me

"Oh hey Paige!" I say taking off my headphones.

"You are really hard to chase down." She smiles.

I laugh. "Sorry when I have my music on I'm somewhere else. So what's up?"

"Not much, I just saw you and wanted to say hi. Are you headed to a class?"

"No I was just going to go get some study time in. What about you?"

"I'm done for the rest of the day, but I should probably let you get back to studying."

I don't think I realized I was supposed to respond because I catch myself just staring as we are both standing in silence.

I clear my throat before speaking, "okay, well, I will see you later!" I start to walk off.

"Oh hey! Me and some of the team are going to have a movie night, would you and Cameron want to join?"

"I'd love too! But, I will have to see what Cameron is up to, so I will get back to you on that." I wink turning around.

Now why the fuck did I just wink.....

That has to be one of the most embarrassing conversations I've had with a person. Ever. There is legit something wrong with me, because why can I never act right around Paige. She is the same as all the other girls.

I shake my head in embarrassment drowning my thoughts with music so I can just study in peace, without reliving every single embarrassing moment of my life.

When I get home later that evening the house is empty, Cameron must be out shopping since she doesn't have any class today.

The second she walks through the door about an hour later I ask her about tonight and she agrees, but of course she has to get me worried about something new. What do I wear. Is it casual? Is it pajamas? Is it what I'm wearing now?

I think she can see the distress on my face because she immediately started talking again.

"Don't stress, I will just text and ask."

Pajamas. pajamas is the dress code. Okay that's easy. No it's not. So now I have to figure out which ones. I groan looking at my pajama drawer.

After a long long 10 minutes of deciding and debating I pick some basic fall colored plaid pants, a tight fitting tank top, and a sweater because there is no way I'm going outside in a tank top.

The drive from our place to the team's is a short, which kind of sucks because I have no time to mentally prepare for the them. That makes no sense but I can't explain it.

We are immediately greeted at the door by Nika, who lets us in pointing to all the different places for everyone to sit.

Only Nika, Azzi, and Aubrey are in the room with me and Cam, so I'm guessing the rest are just waiting somewhere else.

The kitchen table is adorned with bowls of popcorn and different types of candy.

"Wow." I let out breathlessly.

"It was all Paige, she went a little crazy preparing for tonight." Azzi says swooping behind me grabbing a handful of popcorn.

"Does she usually go this hardcore?"

"Nope." Before Azzi can say anymore Paige comes in. She is wearing plaid fluffy pajama pants and a random shirt.

"Oh hey y'all." She says only looking at Cam.

Nobody had time to respond since the room started to fill up with everyone else who is joining for the movie. When everyone is busy picking their seats? I'm too busy at the snack table looking at all the different candies to choose from.

"Hey..uh.. do you want me to help pass out snacks?" Paige says from behind me.

"Sure." I quickly throw off my sweatshirt since it was already getting too hot, and grabbed as many bowls as my hands could hold and pass out. By the time me and Paige were done the only spot left was on a couch just big enough for the both of us.

Paige sits first then me and I grab the blanket throwing it over the both of us. I can feel the awkwardness rise above with our close proximity.

"Comfortable?" Her voice has a husky tone to it, and I don't think she meant to get that close to my ear or for her voice to go that low but I can't help but freeze up.

"Uh-yeah I'm fine." I respond quickly in hopes everything that just happened would just go away.

For the rest of the movie I was in and out of attention towards it, too focused on the body next to me, or I was in and out of consciousness trying to fight sleep till I got home.

Sorry it's been so long since I last wrote my school did a production of mamma mia and finals are crazy, but I end school in like 2 days.

Then I will be a free woman to the public!💪
