The Younger Brother Next Door is a School Grass
Upon returning to school on Monday, Zhou Sisi submitted her essay to the Chinese teacher.
As she was leaving, another class teacher at the next table called out to her. âStudent, this girl.â
âYou called me?â Zhou Sisi stood still.
The other class Chinese teacher: âYes, whatâs your name?â
âHello, teacher, my name is Zhou Sisi.â
The teacher repeated her name. âYou didnât sign up for the campus ambassador selection contest?â
âWell.â Zhou Sisi responded.
Zhou Sisiâs Chinese teacher laughed and said. âXiao Fang, are you planning to kidnap my student to participate?â
âOf course, I must, this female student looks good.â Xiao Fang turned to Zhou Sisi. âSign up for your name?â
Thisâ¦â¦âIsnât this a little casualâ Zhou Sisi said to herself and â âTeacher, Iâm not sure exactly what I have to do.â
âItâs very simple, just fill out a form with me.â Teacher Xiao Fang said.
Zhou Sisi: ââ¦â¦ What does a campus ambassador have to do?â
âIf you ask this question, the chosen ambassador will have to cooperate with the school for a year to carry out promotional work.â Teacher Xiao Fang explained roughly.
âThere is not much work, and itâs not tiring at all, itâs about taking photos occasionally and writing a manuscript of a few hundred words.â
âThere are instructions here you can have a look.â
âCampus ambassadors term last for two semesters, and in each semester one can receive five moral education points.â
Her language teacher also added: âSisi, Teacher Xiao Fang is also the deputy secretary of the schoolâs youth league committee. She is responsible for the selection of ambassadors.â
Zhou Sisi hesitated. âIâll be in my third year of high school next semester.â
âDonât be afraid, the task of ambassador does not take up study time.â Teacher Fang said. âEight of the eleven students who signed up are in the same class as you.â
âCome on, Sisi, come.â Teacher Xiao Fang handed over a pen. âFill out the application form.â
In the end, she signed up in a bit of a haze.
âEat more, Iâm going to work first.â Chen Cui went out with her bag.
Zhou Sisi looked at the breakfast, which was laid out on the table.
The freshly served porridge was hot, the steamed rolls were hot and plump, and the hot and sour cabbage was oily and flavorful.
All made by Chen Cui.
From the day Chen Cui cried, she stayed at home most of the time after getting off work.
She often made body tonic soups for her daughter to replenish her body and inquired about her studies and daily life whenever she could, wanting to chat and make amends.
Zhou Sisi did not know why Chen Cui had such a warning dream, and searched the Internet for the information, but there was no answer.
She was not very comfortable with Chen Cuiâs sudden change and avoided her intentionally or unintentionally.
After the high school entrance examination, Zhou Sisiâs make-up lessons for Lu Xi were suspended.
Although they lived on the same floor in the same unit building, they hadnât met each other for more than two weeks.
The class would be moved to new seats.
Zhou Sisiâs tablemate was still Guo Qin.
She was relatively weak in mathematics and biology, while Guo Qin was good at mathematics and weak in English.
Looking at the other table arrangements, she could probably discern the class teacherâs intention.
Yi Ting, on the other hand, was very depressed.
Her deskmate had changed from last monthâs school committee members to this monthâs class president, one obeying the law more than the other.
The only fun she had in the classroom every day was to chat with Qi Minhui, Zhou Sisi, or other friends.
âIâve had enough!â Yi Ting took the opportunity to go shopping after school to complain. âSisi, do you know how cheap Zeng Ye Youâs dead fish face is! Iâm not allowed to ignore the lectures, and he forced me to take notes!â
âAfter class, I played with my phone for a while, he even controls it!â
âI canât even sleep in self-study, and he wakes me up by beating me with a steel ruler as soon as I lie down!â
Zhou Sisi looked worried. âThe Class leader hit you? Does it hurt?â
âIt doesnât hurt too much, just, itâs annoying, why does he care about me like that? Heâs got no reason to do this to me.â Yi Ting poked the pearls in the milk tea with a straw.
âThe class leader has responsibilities and obligations, well, heâs quite responsible.â Zhou Sisi said euphemistically.
She thought this was good, maybe under the supervision of the class monitor, Yi Tingâs discipline and grades would be improved.
Yi Ting yelled. âWho wants him to be responsible? Itâs annoying, I want to be free!â
âGo to school tomorrow to talk to Teacher Wu?â Although Zhou Sisi did not agree with her idea, she still gave her advice.
Yi Tingâs face slumped. âCanât go, alas, my grades are so poor, I donât have the face to go to Sister Lan to make a request.â
âMs. Wu is not a teacher who judges students only by their grades, so you can talk to her if you really want to change.â Zhou Sisi said warmly.
âUgh donât talk about this bad thing. Let me pick a pen first, see, which one looks better?â Yi Ting held up three different styles of water-based pens.
Zhou Sisi chose the one with the plain pattern. âThis one.â
âOK, buy another notebook.â Yi Ting said. âYou only buy pen refills?â
Zhou Sisi: âHmm. Do you need some milk tea?â
âSisi you are so sweet!â
While Yi Ting picked out the various colored notebooks, she heard the message tone behind her and said to herself. âLooks like there is a text message.â
Suddenly remembering something important, she asked. âSisi, how many votes do you have now?â
âHuh?â It took half a second for Zhou Sisi to realize what Yi Ting was referring to. âI donât know.â
âIn the afternoon, at 1 oâclock, you had more than twelve hundred votes and were in third place, only twenty votes less than Gong Yao who was in second place.â Yi Ting said, âIf you move up by another ranke, youâll be an ambassador!â
The campus ambassador selection competition opened its online voting channels yesterday for a three-day period. The students and teachers of Huali No.3 Middle School voted for the supporting contestants through the campus public website.
The male and female students with the highest number of votes, one each, were qualified as ambassadors.
âI want to see the real-time number of votes.â Yi Ting stopped picking in her book. âHuali No. 3 Middle Schoolâ¦campus activitiesâ¦Gong Yao has more than 1,600 votes, damn it! She passed you more than 300 votes in one afternoon. Itâs gone!â
âIâll help you canvas for votes! My circle of friends has forwarded it at noon today, and I will forward it againâ¦â
âNo, let it be.â Zhou Sisi felt a little funny.
Yi Ting tried to shake the little fairyâs shoulder as hard as she could. âYouâre too unambitious to think! Sisi! Can we be more aggressive?â
Zhou Sisi: ââ¦â I always feel that the ânot self-motivatedâ hat on my head is not quite right.
After buying the stationery, Zhou Sisi and Yi Ting strolled for a while and went home separately.
In the evening, the sunset glow pulled down a few clouds on the west side of the sky, smearing orange-red and blue-violet between the buildings.
Sisi took out her access card from her backpack, swiped it on the door sensor of her unit building, it made a short âDi!â.
Opening the door of the unit building, she heard a burst of chatter and laughter from the boys above the stairs.
Then, a short boy in a yellow jersey turned down.
âSister Sisi! Such a fate!â
This was Lu Xiâs classmate. Zhou Sisi remembered the last time he greeted her at the canteen.
She responded with a smile.
Soon after, Lu Xi appeared in view, wearing a white jersey with a white headband around his forehead.
His fingers hooked a soccer net pocket, he looked at Zhou Sisi with lazy eyes, as if he was about to open his mouth.
âHello, Sister Sisi.â A boy with glasses appeared a little later.
He was also Lu Xiâs classmate, and she had a little impression.
Another boy, who was hanging his hand on the spectacle boyâs shoulder, didnât hear her name clearly, smiling and following the two brothers he called out to the beautiful girl: âHello, senior.â
This one was very unfamiliar, never seen before.
The four teenagers, except Lu Xi, all greeted her.
Zhou Sisi smiled and responded in unison: âHello.â
She thought that Lu Xi was still mad at her for mentioning the merits of a middle school.
She wasnât in a hurry to get into the apartment so she let them go downstairs first.
The teenagers passed by Zhou Sisi in turn, with a vigorous spirit.
The most distinguished-looking teenager at the end halted in front of her when he walked past.
He scratched his ear. âAhem â¦â¦â
â?â Zhou Sisi looked back in confusion.
Lu Xi: âYou didnât say hello to me.â A voice that only two people could hear.
ââ¦Good evening?â Zhou Sisiâs clear eyes were slightly curved.
