FORTY-EIGHT

THE BEGINNING OF something is never really easy. It can be scary sometimes.

For Jimin the training itself isn't that hard, but focusing his powers only on Yoongi, which means he will always see what's about to happen to Yoongi, is somehow scary. Just like his last vision.

He has no clue when it's going to happen or if he will be able to stop it. It's making him worry so much that he barely even slept last night. Even though Yoongi's words from yesterday made the thought slightly less scary.

„Jimin?"

Jiho's voice brought him back to reality, making him look to his right.

„Sorry I- what did you say?" Jimin mumbles with a frown trying to stay more focused.

„I asked if you're ready to continue." The elder says with a soft smile.

„Oh- yes of course."

They continued the training, it wasn't much other than talking and focusing. The whole point is to try to project his powers on Yoongi so that he will turn into the main focus of his powers. Their aim is to trigger Jimin's power, to be specific: to trigger his last vision of Yoongi.

He never experienced a vision twice, he didn't even know it was possible. In this case it indeed is possible.

It made Jimin realize that he barely knows anything about his powers. It's all so new to him, the stuff Jiho tells him and teaches him. But he's here to learn it and the talk with Yoongi last night made him feel better. He knows he will be able to focus his powers on Yoongi, no matter how unpleasant and scary the thought of seeing bad visions about Yoongi may sound.

„It can be easier if you have something that belongs to Yoongi or reminds you of him. You need a small object or a picture." Jiho explains, making Jimin think about it shortly, „This can help you to get a better focus on him."

„What could it be- ah right." Jimin grabs the necklace from under his shirt, revealing the pendant which is a bullet.

„I think this necklace could help me." Jimin adds with a smile, he feels confident that he can make it. Jiho smiles back and nods.

The training went on with a break where they had lunch together before continuing Jimin's training. It went good, he felt some sort of connection between his power and Yoongi. He isn't sure what's in his imagination and what's truly happening but it doesn't matter because Jiho meant that it takes some time and if he at least feels some sort of connection it's already a good sign.

He's still not sure if he can trigger his vision or not, if it's really helpful but he will try his best for the rest of the training.

After all he has another supernatural problem he has to deal with. His iron manipulation.

After their meeting with Jiho, they decided to continue the training for his other power. After all it's his main power that he uses everyday and especially for work. It's just that he hasn't used it for two weeks now.

It's already late evening when they said their goodbyes to Jiho and went back to Yoongi's apartment.

They're now standing in the living room of the apartment with an empty can of soda placed on the table.

„Now just try to use your powers, there's not much that could go wrong." Yoongi says patting Jimin's shoulder softly while both of them look down on the can.

„There's a lot that could go wrong." Jimin responds with a frown, before activating his powers. Small lights and sparkles appear on his palm, like always when he uses his powers.

„What for example?" Yoongi asks.

The lights on his hands fade slowly, before suddenly getting even brighter, and just then the can starts moving, like it should only to get crashed in the next second.

„This." Jimin sighs lowering his hand. Actually he doesn't have to use his hands to move something, mostly he just thinks about it and focuses on the item. But now that he barely used his powers he has to build a connection and it's easier if he uses his hands.

„Good thing we have lots of cans." Yoongi responds trying to light up the mood and it helped because a chuckle left Jimin's lips, even if it was a bitter one.

Yoongi went to the kitchen and came back with another can, placing it on the table again.

„Don't worry. You just need to focus more and once you managed to do it, it will be easier." Yoongi says caressing Jimin's back to give him comfort. The younger nods, he knows he can do it, it's just his mind playing tricks on him.

„You're right." The black haired Officer responds before trying it again. And again.

It took at least 3 cans before he managed to move one slightly without crashing it in the process.

„Imagine the string between your hand and the can. Remember? The string that connects you." Yoongi says as he approaches Jimin from behind placing on hand on his hips the other one around Jimin's arm. He lifts Jimin's hand softly in order to make him imagine the string that connects him to the item he wants to manipulate.

„Think about the iron." Yoongi adds, his breath tickling Jimin's neck.

Even though Yoongi's closeness is driving Jimin crazy, it helps him focus even better.

The sparkles and lights appear on Jimin's hand and with a lot of focus, with Yoongi's voice in his head, he manages to move it.

„Great." Yoongi says as Jimin starts moving the can around with a smile on his lips. He seems to be proud of his achievement even though he already knew how to control his powers. It's just that he was scared to use them again.

He did it a few more times, using different things to control and get confident in using his powers again.

After their training Jimin felt relieved and way better. His powers work again, he can use them like before it's as if nothing has changed. It's a huge relief for both him and Yoongi.

That night the two of them went out to have dinner, it was the first real date they had now that they're a couple. It was lovely and after having a drink, they decided to go back home to get some rest. After all they have another training tomorrow with Jiho.

They're now walking back to Yoongi's apartment as they walk through a calm and peaceful alley.

„Didn't you say that your sister lives somewhere close?" Jimin asks, swinging their intertwined hands happily as if they're a teenage couple.

„Yes I did. She lives 20 minutes away by car." Yoongi responds, looking at his lover with a soft expression on his face.

„Why haven't we visited her yet?" Jimin asks raising his brows playfully, „You're a liar right? You actually have no sister!"

„Shit- now I have to kidnap you to keep my secret safe!" The elder jokes back, making Jimin gasp loudly.

Yoongi chuckles while softly bumping Jimin's side with his elbow, „You punkass."

Jimin cringes at the word, but has to smile brightly, „Feels like a Deja vu."

„You're supposed to answer with ‚your punkass'" The elder adds making Jimin chuckle, it definitely feels like a deja vu.

„But for real now- let's visit her." Jimin says after a short moment of silence.

„You really wanna meet her?"

„Yeah of course!" The younger responds.

The elder chuckles, „Okay I will text her if she's free tomorrow after our training."

The smile on Jimin's face was enough to make Yoongi happy as well. So the next day after their training with Jiho, they decided to visit his sister.

She texted him in the morning that she's free for the day and that it's okay if he visits. Yoongi however didn't feel the urge to mention that he will bring somebody along.

When they arrived in front of her house Jimin suddenly felt not even slightly as confident as yesterday night when he suggested to meet Yoongi's sister and her family.

„Don't be nervous." The elder says making Jimin look to his right.

„I'm not nervous." Jimin lies.

„I can sense that you're nervous." Yoongi responds, grabbing Jimin's hand to squeeze it,

„Don't be. You'll be alright. And you will like them."

„That's not what I'm worried about-"

„They will like you too." Yoongi interrupts, „Seriously no need to worry. It's impossible to not love you."

A smile forms on Jimin's lips as he heard Yoongi saying that. The elder is truly so sweet and lovingly, always trying to comfort Jimin, to compliment him and to make him feel better. It's such a gift to have someone like Yoongi.

„Thank you Hyung. You're always making me feel better." Jimin responds, giving Yoongi a quick peck on his cheek before the elder knocks at the door.

„She will for sure be surprised but-"

„Wait you didn't tell her??"

Before Jimin could get an answer the door opens, revealing a brown haired young woman. She looks stressed as she holds her phone between her ear and shoulder, while holding a cleaning rag and a cup in her hands.

„Yes mom- Yoongi just arrived and he's too early as always-" Yoongi's sister says annoyed before her eyes notice the second black haired male next to her brother, „And he brought someone along- I have to hang up bye!"

„Yoongi! Why didn't you tell that you will bring someone with you?" Yoongi's sister asks as she opens the door widely for them to enter.

„Made no difference." The black haired male answers shrugging his shoulders.

„It does!" Both Jimin and Yoongi's sister respond at the same time.

„Well now you know." Yoongi adds making both Jimin and his elder sister sigh.

„Come in first. My brother is an idiot." Yoongi's sister says while the couple enters her house.

From the living room you can hear children laughing and screaming while a desperate male tries to shush them.

Jimin tries to suppress his snort about his sister's remark, because he didn't want to come off rude when agreeing with her calling Yoongi an idiot. But Yoongi is an idiot sometimes - the cutest of course.

„I'm Sooyoung." The brown haired woman says after Jimin took off his shoes. She held out her hand for him to shake it, „But you can call me Joy!"

„No don't call her like that. She's anything but joyful." Yoongi interrupts, earning a slap on his arm from his older sister.

„Oh shut up! Don't listen to him." Joy says looking back at Jimin and making him chuckle.

„I'm Park Jimin." The black haired Officer responds, smiling at her softly.

„Glad to meet you." She says smiling back at him before sending a death glare to her brother.

„Let's go inside." Joy adds and the two males follow her to the living and dining room.

It's louder in there as the kids are running away from their father who tries to catch them. He tried to set the table for dinner but they seemed to interrupt him.

„Enough now!" Joy says loudly making everyone stop in their movements. No one dared to move now.

„We have a guest so please behave." She adds now smiling while pointing at Jimin.

The kids then noticed Yoongi and his partner, big smiles forming on their faces.

„Uncle Yoongi!" They screamed in sync as they run to their uncle to hug him.

It's a girl and a boy, about 5 and 7 years old.

Yoongi squats down to hug them both tightly. Jimin's heart melts at the sight in front of him. He loves seeing Yoongi happy.

„they love him somehow I don't get it." Joy says rolling her eyes, but Jimin knows that she's just joking.

Her husband places down the plates on the table before approaching his wife and Jimin.

„Hey, I'm Hyoseob. Nice to meet you." He says shaking Jimin's hand.

„Park Jimin." The younger responds friendly.

„The dinner will be ready soon, take a seat." The older male says pointing at the table.

Before Jimin could sit down, Yoongi pushes the two kids in his direction.

„You should say hi to uncle Jimin." Yoongi says.

„Hi uncle Jimin." Both of them respond, making the Officer chuckle. Jimin squats down ruffling their hair.

„Hi you two." Jimin says smiling, „What's your name?"

The younger girl responds first, „I'm Areum."

„Wow that's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Jimin responds making her smile brightly.

„I'm Minsu." The older boy says trying to sound tough but instead he sounded really sweet. It made Jimin chuckle.

„Another wonderful name!" Jimin responds making the young boy giggle.

„Be nice to Jimin! Don't scare him." Joy adds causing both of them to say ‚yes' in sync.

Meanwhile Hyoseob brought the dinner Tochter table and all of them took a seat to eat.

Jimin wasn't even as nervous as in the beginning, talking to the small family seemed so natural and normal. They talked about many things, how Joy and her husband already dated in Highschool and how Jimin and Yoongi were paired to be a Duo or how the elder refused to work with Jimin for such a long time. They talked about hobbies and other interests, they laughed and shared many things.

It was wonderful to be around good hearted and friendly people, Jimin had a lot of fun.

„Can't believe Yoongi managed to find someone as wonderful as you." Joy says as they clean the table after finishing dinner.

„I can hear you." Yoongi responds.

„Yeah that's good!" Joy says, „Seriously you're a nice guy Jimin."

„Thank you." Jimin responds kindly, „You and your family are good people too. I'm thankful that I was able to meet you."

Yoongi and Jimin stayed for a while, played with the kids and talked to the couple till both children fell asleep. It was a nice evening, Jimin smiled happily as they said their goodbyes.

„Hope it wasn't that bad." Yoongi says as they're now walking to their car.

„No it was really nice." Jimin responds hugging Yoongi's arm tighter because it was pretty cold outside.

„I'm glad you liked it- them." the elder says smiling and Jimin nods.

„And I said they will love you." Yoongi adds looking lovingly at his partner.

Jimin just blushes slightly leaning his head against Yoongi's shoulder as they continue walking.

„Thanks for making me so happy." The younger says and Yoongi smiles. They stop in front of their car and the elder turns Jimin to himself to face him.

„There's nothing better and more important than seeing you happy, Jimin."

The younger just smiles at him softly before leaning in to kiss his lover.

All he needs is Yoongi to be happy.
