THIRTY-TWO

SOMEHOW IT WAS quieter in the Bulletproof mansion than usually.

Even though it's been a few days already, no one seems to be happy about the recent situation. And somehow no one dares to say anything about it.

Jimin has been with them for more than 3 months and they really got fond of him. Working out and training with him has been part of their job for a while now. And after work they also spent time with the black haired male, he's been a part of them long before he got his title.

Of course there have been ups and downs, they fought and there have been disagreements and misunderstandings but in the end they managed to be a good team. They were completed with Jimin even if they've never actually worked with him.

They didn't even had the chance to. Their leader decided to transfer him without even asking them.

It's a decision made for the team but without the team.

That's why there's a depressing mood at the mansion, as if the laughters died out and the night talks turned shorter. Everyone seemed to think the same but no one dared to say it out loud.

At some point they accepted it. After all it was their leader's decision and even if it seems unfair to the team and Jimin, they respect his decisions. Their bond and trust is strong and undoubtably, questioning Namjoon's choice is not an option.

Namjoon came home later that night because he had to hand in the reports of the officers to the deputy chief. After all it was a bigger task than expected because no one knew that the place is a spot for drug and human trafficking. In the next few days he will have a lot of work to do for that case.

"Hey you're finally home. We heard what happened." Hoseok was the first one to approach Namjoon, followed by Seokjin who took Namjoon's jacket and bag to help him.

The others already had dinner without him but the leader wasn't even hungry, just tired.

„Is everyone alright? How's Yoongi Hyung?" Jungkook asks after Namjoon approached the living room.

„He's fine now. Jimin texted me that he took him to the hospital to get checked up." The elder responds, rubbing his tired eyes.

„Jimin?" The youngest member asks, slightly tilting his head.

„Yes, he was part of the team they sent out for the mission." Seokjin explains making the younger nod slowly.

„It's good that Jimin is with him right now." Namjoon adds, „I hope Yoongi will get to his sense now."

Namjoon's last words made everyone frown slightly but before they could ask the meaning of it, he already headed upstairs.

„What did he mean?" Taehyung asks the others but they just shrugged. Only Jin seemed to get it, a soft smile on his lips. He knew he could always trust his leader and partner.

„We will see." The eldest responds.

The next morning started more peaceful than Jimin expected. Even though his back hurts from the rather small and uncomfortable bed and from literally not moving the whole night.

He fell asleep not long after Yoongi did and woke up after him.

„How long have you been awake?" Jimin asks while yawing and slowly getting up from the bed.

„Just for a few minutes." The elder responds, also sitting up.

Jimin nods and stretches himself before leaving the small bed.

„How are you feeling?" Jimin asks slightly concerned.

„Better." Yoongi responds and Jimin nods in result. Even though it might be strange that Jimin slept next to Yoongi, but somehow it didn't feel awkward this time. It's funny how many times they already slept in the same bed.

„That's good." Jimin mumbles while rubbing his eyes. Interrupting their small chat, a nurse followed by the doctor from last night enters the room.

He checked on Yoongi shortly and told him that he can leave for now but should rest at home.

Just when the two were about to leave, they spot a familiar person sitting in the hall right in front of the room.

„Oh Namjoon?" Yoongi says as they approach their friend and Commander.

„Good morning you two." Namjoon says with a grin on his lips and three cups of Coffee in his hand.

„We were worried. But you seem better now." Namjoon adds, making Yoongi rub the back of his neck apologetically, „So I thought to pay you - and you- a visit."

The elder was pointing at Jimin who suddenly felt really awkward as if he got caught doing something he shouldn't have done. But gladly Namjoon had a grin on his lips.

He hands them the coffee and together they head outside.

„You will be staying at home for the rest of the week." Namjoon says, making Yoongi groan.

„I'm fine, I feel better today." The black haired male responds but the leader just shakes his head. Yoongi tried to argue but somehow he was feeling tired and had no energy to fight.

„And Jimin- have you called Bang Chan to let him know where you are?" The elder says now facing Jimin who's been quietly following them.

„Uhm- no." Jimin responds, slightly feeling bad for not telling anyone that he won't come to the mansion for that night. „I should go now." He adds and looks at both Namjoon and Yoongi, only that his eyes stay at Yoongi's face for a slightly longer moment.

„See you at the department, Jimin." Namjoon says with a soft smile, „Thank you for looking after our dude over here."

Jimin chuckles before looking at the male with the red scar. There's a smile on Jimin's plump lips, one that can make Yoongi loose himself for a second.

„Thank you." He says earning a nod from Jimin in result.

With that he turns around and leaves, walking to where he has parked the car yesterday. It's time for him to go to his new home.

Arriving there, Jimin was greeted by the leader of the Unit and some of the members as well as a completely new face.

„Good Morning Jimin." The leader greets him, as he approaches the group in the living room, „Where have you been? We were worried."

Jimin smiles apologetically, „Sorry for making you worry. After our task, I was with Sergeant Min at the Hospital he wasn't feeling well."

„I heard what happened at the task. I hope he's doing fine now?" Bang Chan responds and Jimin nods as an answer, „I also wanted to congratulate you on your successful mission. You did great, Jimin."

The elder nods with a soft smile, mumbling a short ‚thanks'.

„We were a good team!" Seungmin says, patting Jimin's back and even though he's younger than Jimin and the same height, he treats him as if he's his Dongsaeng. But Jimin kinda likes him.

„Yes indeed." Jimin responds smiling at the younger, before feeling an intense stare coming from the left side.

„Now that you're here, I can introduce you to our newest and last member to join, Yang Jeongin." Chan says as he places his hand on the shoulder of the new member.

Jimin nods before reaching his hand out to shake it with Jeongin's, „Park Jimin."

„I know." The newbie says as he looks straight into Jimin's silver colored eyes.

As they shake hands, Jimin feels a strange tension between them, their skin touches and Jimin feels as if electricity runs through his body.

The black haired male frowns, while Jeongin grins.

What a strange male.

„Glad to meet you, I already heard a lot about you." Jeongin says and Jimin nods with an unsure smile before looking at the Sergeant.

„He will join your team, but you two will work together as a duo mostly." Bang says and Jimin isn't sure how to feel about it. The new male gives off some strange vibes. His eyes and stares are also quite intense, but Jimin will have to accept it.

„Good." The black haired male says, „I will be heading to the department now."

With that he bows shortly and turns around to leave but Bang Chan calls for him, „Take Jeongin with you. Minho is waiting for you two, to show him around."

Jimin nods and waits for the other male to join him, so that they can leave. On his way to the department he grabbed some breakfast and coffee, since he's still quite tired because of last night.

Gladly Jeongin isn't much of a talker so most of the time it was quiet between them, and soon they arrived at the department.

Heading to the SWAT department, Jimin and Jeongin take the elevator to go to the basement.

As the door were closing, someone from outside pressed the button, opening the door again so that he can enter.

Jimin looks up and spots a way to familiar - and handsome - face.

„Oh-." Jimin utters quietly and mostly to himself, being surprised to see him.

„Good morning officers." His raspy voice says as he stands in front of the two males, his back facing them.

„Good morning Sergeant." Jimin says and Jeongin bows slightly.

„Why are you here?" Jimin asks, Yoongi's back still facing him, „Are you feeling better?"

Yoongi slightly turns his head, „I just wanted to grab some things."

Jimin nods which Yoongi can't see, but even though he urged to ask more questions or talk about last night, he simply couldn't. And not only because the new member was next to them.

Gladly they arrived downstairs not long after, Yoongi leaving the elevator first, „See you around."

With that he left and so did a sigh leave Jimin's lips.

„Who was that?" Jeongin suddenly asks making Jimin look at him.

„Sergeant Min from the Unit Bulletproof." Jimin answers as they walk through the hallway.

„Your original partner." Jeongin says making Jimin frown and look at him again.

„I assume." The younger adds with a strange smile.

„Yeah you're right." Jimin responds still confused about the male next to him.

It got quiet for short and they finally arrive at the cafeteria where they should meet Minho.

Jimin's mind is still not where it should be. He can't stop thinking about one certain male and the last night. What he said and did.

„He's handsome, you're right." Jeongin suddenly says making the frown on Jimin's face appear again.

„The fuck- when did I say-" Before he could finish his question, the leader of their subunit Minho interrupts them.

„Hey Officers, I hope you didn't wait too long." He says with an apologetic smile, joining them at their table.

„No we just arrived." Jeongin responds politely. Jimin on the other hand is still confused and somehow shocked because what did just happen?

Has he said his thoughts about Yoongi being handsome out loud? Maybe he really did. But it's strange, why would Jimin say it out loud out of context?

While Minho started talking to Jeongin and explaining him a few things, Jimin's thoughts drift off. He's still tired and confused, confused about what happened with Yoongi and him yesterday, about his new partner who's kind of strange and about how this all is going to go on.

With these thoughts he somehow manages to get through the rather quiet and peaceful day before he finds himself in the middle of a small welcoming party at the Strayer's mansion.

Jimin was listening to the group the whole night, staying more in the back with his beer as they share some long, deep but also some funny conversations.

Jimin was more of a listener tonight, just like he has been in the beginning when he joined Bulletproof.

Thinking of his original team, a sudden pain in his chest makes it hard for him to focus on upcoming conversations.

That's why he grabs his bottle and decides to get some fresh air outside.

The mansion is just as big as the one from Bulletproof and it's quite familiar too. Outside he takes a seat at one of the chairs that are placed around a big table in front of the pool. Taking a sip of his drink he hears someone leaving the building and joining him outside.

He enjoyed his time alone even though it wasn't long.

„Why are you outside all by yourself?" The male who just joined Jimin asks. It's the newbie Jeongin, the one who is acting strangely ever since Jimin met him. The elder can't get smart out of him and doesn't really know how to act around him. Maybe they just need a little bit time to get to know each other. Maybe right now is the perfect time for that.

„I just needed some time alone to clear my mind." Jimin responds honestly.

„Should I leave you alone then?" The brown haired male asks, standing next to Jimin now.

„No it's fine. Actually I'm glad you're here." Jimin says, „Now that we will be a duo we should get to know each other."

The younger hums in response before sitting down next to Jimin, touching his shoulder accidentally with his own. Jimin didn't mind the short physical touch between them because it was on accident. Still he was glad when the younger made the gap between them slightly bigger.

„So what's going on inside your head?" Jeongin asks taking a short look at the male next to him.

„A lot." Jimin responds with a quiet snort. He takes a sip of his drink, thinking if he should get deeper into the topic or not.

Before he could decide whether to continue talking or not, the younger interrupts him.

„It's because of the Bulletproof, your original unit, right?" Jeongin says, „And especially because of Min Yoongi."

Jimin frowns as he looks at the younger male who's once again acting extremely odd.

„How did you know?" Jimin asks quite unsure if he really wants to know the answer to his question.

„Well I'm not as strange as you thought. I can also be really smart." Jeongin responds with a grin, but the frown on Jimin's face won't disappear.

„I never said you were strange-"

„But you thought it." The younger interrupts, a smirk on his lips that's hard to tell.

„Okay the fuck is going on here?" Jimin asks since he's still quite confused and wants to know what's going on with his new partner. The things he says are just as strange as he himself. He's really confusing and Jimin wants to know why he's saying such things.

The younger chuckles and looks away, taking a sip of his own drink before answering Jimin's question. "Do you really wanna know?"

"Yes? If you want us to be a good team, there shouldn't be strange vibes going on between us." Jimin responds with a frown, making Jeongin look back at him. There's a short moment of silence, in the background the laughter of the other members are heard, other than that it's quite peaceful and quiet outside.

Jimin is eager to know, what's the matter and why his new partner is acting so strange. To hear that answer to his question, is what Jimin would have never expected.

"I'm just like you, Jimin." The younger says after a short silence, "I have superpowers, too."
