Chapter 68
We Need a New Room Mate (Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato)
"Hey dickhead! Get your ugly fucking hand off of my girlfriend!"
"It's broken?"
"My middle finger is and the fingers on either side are badly sprained," Danielle replied as she made her way out of the hospital, a fresh cast on her hand.
"Shit then,"
"Yep. Oh gosh, I have to tell one of my producers," Danielle realised.
"Yeah! Your character can't just suddenly have a cast on," Jaina laughed from the other end of the phone. "Is it on for six weeks?"
"About that, yeah. I have to get a check up in a month. It might come off then but then it also might be extended to two months. Though the doctor didn't say it was too bad," Danielle explained, slightly hopeful that it would come off sooner than later.
"Have you told Stefania yet?"
"No, I've only just come out and called you. I might just wait until she's home anyway,"
"Alright. Well I'll see you soon. Are you coming straight home?"
"Yeah, yeah. Oh shit!" Danielle cursed as she suddenly remembered something.
"What?"
"I'm going to have this on for Barrett's wedding," She groaned as she stared at her cast.
"Oh yeah... what colour is it? Maybe we can paint in to match our bridesmaid dresses," Jaina suggested.
"We might just have to," Danielle sighed. "Alright, I'll see you in a bit,"
"Bye," Danielle put her phone in her pocket and looked down at her hand. If she knew this was going to be the outcome, she wished she had at least done more damage.

Danielle was half way up the stairs at Kepner's when she realised that Stefania wasn't behind her anymore. From where she stood on the step, she was able to see a fair amount of the club, though her eyes weren't as sharp as they usually are. Blame that on the alcohol and flashing lights. However she felt like every cell in her body sobered up when she saw some man grabbing her girlfriend.
Danielle didn't even hesitate before marching straight back down the stairs, pushing through the crowds of people and colliding her fist directly into his grubby face. The adrenaline soaring through her body disguising the initial damage she had done to her hand. He yelled out, grabbing the attention of a few surrounding people.
"Fuck! What did you do that for?" He swore, clutching the side of his face in agony.
"You're a piece of shit," Danielle seethed as she stood in front of Stefania protectively, grabbing one of her hands as she glared at the man in front of her.
"Danielle, it's-"
"You're lucky I don't chop your lame excuse for a dick off of your pathetic body,"
"Who the fuck do you think-"
"Sir, can you come with me?" Before anything could escalate any further, a security guard intervened and dragged the man away. Danielle could just about to see a bruise already forming on his face. Good.
"Are you okay?" She asked as she turned to face Stefania, bringing a hand up to her face as their eyes met.
"I- yeah," Stefania blinked rapidly as she focused her eyes on her girlfriend. "You punched him kind of hard, is your hand okay?"
"Yeah," Danielle shrugged, but when she looked down at her hand, she realised that it was already a slightly different colour than it usually is. "Well," She winced as she tried to flex her fingers, the pain slowly settling in. Though that was nothing compared to when she woke up the next morning and a large portion of her hand had turned purple.

Stefania slowly made her way home, absolutely exhausted and wishing that she had booked the Monday off. She'd probably said it a thousand times about how much she loves her job, but after the weekend she had, she wished she could just sleep all day. She almost cheered with unadulterated joy when the house came into view, relief spreading from her head to her toes once she entered and kicked off her shoes.
"Gosh, I'm so tired," She mumbled as she walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. She looked at the contents of it but the thought of actually having to prepare something tired her out even more. Her bed literally seemed to be calling her name.
Stefania turned around and realised that it was oddly quiet in the house. Usually there was music playing or talking coming from somewhere or the television was on. But nothing. And she was pretty certain that Danielle and Jaina were both home today. She made her way upstairs and dumped her stuff on her bed before leaving her room and gently knocking on Danielle's door. But no reply.
She pushed the door open, thinking that maybe her girlfriend had her head phones on, but instead she was greeted with the sight of Danielle fast asleep in bed. Which was most unusual for her, though she did look sweet. Stefania smiled softly as she walked in and crawled onto the bed, sliding behind Danielle and snuggling up to her.
"Hm?" Danielle stirred at the disruption, clearing her throat as she craned her neck slightly. "Hi baby," She murmured, the sleep lacing her voice somehow making that small phrase ten times more attractive. Stefania suddenly felt more awake.
"Hi," Stefania whispered, pressing multiple kisses to Danielle's cheek then turning her face so she could kiss her properly.
"Mhm, careful," Danielle mumbled against Stefania's lips as she twisted her body slightly. Stefania pulled away then looked down, noticing the cast on her girlfriends hand.
"Oh," Stefania sat up and very gently lifted Danielle's arm and brought it into her lap. "I guess it's broken then?"
"The middle finger is," Danielle replied as she pushed herself up a little. "These two are sprained," She explained as she pointed to her hand.
"Oh bambina," Stefania pouted, her shoulders sinking. "I'm sorry,"
"Don't be," Danielle reassured her as she reached up to tuck a strand of Stefania's hair behind her ear. "I said to Jaina earlier, if I knew this would be the outcome, I would have done more damage. No one touches my girl and gets away with it," She said proudly, flexing the muscle of her non injured arm.
"But now you have this on for what? Six weeks?"
"Maybe four, maybe eight," Danielle shrugged. "I need to tell my producers though and Jaina and I are going to paint the cast to match my bridesmaid dress,"
"Mhm, okay," Stefania said softly as she leant forward and kissed Danielle. "Where is Jaina by the way?"
"She went to the shop," Danielle replied, laying back down on her bed and beckoning for Stefania to lay with her. The brunette swung one leg over Danielle so she could straddle her hips comfortably then leant down, bumping their noses together playfully.
"Oh no!" Stefania gasped, her eyes widening comically.
"What?"
"Your right hand is your dominant hand," She said, a small pout on her face.
"Uh, yeah it is, why-" Danielle answered her own question when she realised what context Stefania meant it in. Not for writing or cooking or washing, but for what was clearly the most important thing in Stefania's mind. Sex. "You're ridiculous,"
"I'm just saying! At least a month, I mean..."
"You're acting like I don't have a left hand and a perfectly working tongue," Danielle said, a small smirk on her face as she watched Stefania's eyes drop down to her lips then slowly back up to her eyes.
"I- yeah," Stefania sighed as she lowered herself back down and slowly kissed her girlfriend, slipping her tongue into her mouth with ease. There was something about Danielle that no matter how tired Stefania is or how focused she may have been on something, she would always get sucked into kissing her and getting completely lost in her touch. Like now.
She could feel herself getting more and more turned on as each second went past and the hand Danielle was using to gently stroke her lower back was certainly not helping. Stefania brought one hand up to hold Danielle's face as she deepened the kiss even more, her breathing getting heavier. However they were slightly interrupted by the sound of their front door slamming rather loudly.
"What the fuck," Danielle giggled as they could hear Jaina stomping about downstairs. They could also hear her shouting about something however were unable to figure out what exactly it was about. But then they heard Jaina making her way up the stairs and she shoved Danielle's door open, not even fazed by the position the two women were in.
"This is new," She stated, pulling at the fabric of the jacket she had on. She huffed as she shook her head.
"Okay?" Danielle laughed as she looked at her best friend who appeared to be very, very annoyed. "It's nice," Stefania nodded her head in agreement as they waited for Jaina to say something else.
"A pigeon pooed on it!"
