Chapter 56

We Need a New Room Mate (Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato)

"Finally! You're home!"

"She actually said that she wants to meet me?" Stefania questioned. It was Wednesday evening and they were laid together on Stefania's bed. Danielle had her head on her girlfriends lap as she played with her hair soft hair mindlessly.

"Mhm," Danielle mumbled softly.

"Did she seem enthusiastic about it?"

"Uh..." Danielle tried to think back to how Caterina was acting. "I was looking at the ceiling when she asked but she didn't seem the most genuine I suppose,"

"So you think this is a good idea because...?"

"I didn't say it was a good idea. I'm just saying," Danielle said, as relaxed as she could possibly be.

"Okay. Well, I'm coming Friday anyway, right? So maybe we'll just so happen to bump into her?"

"Yeah, I just won't leave the two of you alone. And not with Jesse. Such a pot stirrer," Danielle laughed. Friday definitely would be interesting to say the least...

"Hey! Stefania, right?" Jesse appeared next to Stefania as she signed into the filming site at security

"Yes! Jesse," He nodded his head and waited as she finished.

"I can take her through," He said as the security opened the doors and let them in.

"I did text Danielle that I'm here but she hasn't said anything,"

"She's probably on her way now but no point in you waiting over there,"

"She told me about Caterina," Stefania said, watching Jesse intently.

"She did? Wow," Jesse bit the inside of his cheek and tried not to laugh too much. "And?"

"Not much I can do regarding the acting stuff but outside of that, I have a little more control over,"

"So I should put my money on you?" Jesse teased. "Time and place and I'll be there," Stefania pondered the thought for a second but surely this woman would be able to respect the fact that Danielle is in a relationship and nothing should lead to Stefania needing to start anything.

"Danielle wouldn't let that happen. But if it did..." Stefania flexed her arm a little as they approached the trailers.

"Oh! You're here," Danielle was quickly making her way across the lot when she looked up and saw her girlfriend. "What have you been saying to her?" She asked Jesse, squinting her eyes at him.

"Nothing, nothing!" He held his hands up in defence as Danielle gave Stefania a quick kiss on the cheek. "But my money is on her if it comes to it," He laughed as he jogged off to his trailer, Danielle glaring at the back of his head.

"He would have made a good choice," Stefania shrugged innocently as she took Danielle's hand and they walked to her trailer. "Have you seen her yet today?"

"Just for a table read," Danielle replied as they sat down on the little sofa and Stefania dived into her lap, happily holding her close. "She usually stops by about half an hour before we're called to set,"

"Oh really?" Stefania popped her head up slightly, a mischievous look in her eye. "Maybe I'll just so happen to have you up against the wall but we'll see," Stefania shrugged, laughing as Danielle's mouth dropped open.

"I can't stand you,"

"Yeah, your legs would definitely be too weak to stand," Stefania quickly replied, wiggling her eyebrows as she looked up at her girlfriend.

"You always have an answer, don't you?"

"Si," Stefania replied proudly, pushing herself up a little more so that her face was directly in front of Danielle's. "You have pretty eyes." She murmured, though it seemed more like a thought that had accidentally slipped out. Danielle widened her eyes and blinked rapidly as she leaned in even closer to Stefania until their noses were touching.

"I love you," Danielle sighed, obsessed with the way that Stefania would always smile when she said it.

"I love you," Stefania said, cupping Danielle's jaw and kissing her gently. She leaned back a little and looked down at her girlfriend's lips and her pearly white teeth and ran her thumb over her bottom lip. Danielle playfully bit down on it and looked up at Stefania, tilting her head to the side. Stefania rolled her eyes as she brought her hand down and went back to kissing her. Nothing wrong with a quick make out session before she got called away.

Breathing was getting heavier, the trailer was getting hotter and hands were roaming as Stefania was now straddling Danielle's lap, one hand under her top, the other holding her jaw. Then someone knocked on the door.

"Danielle?"

"Hang on!" Danielle called out as she caught her breath and Stefania pushed herself up, silently cursing whoever was on the other side. Danielle fixed her top and her hair as she walked over to the door and Stefania wiped whatever lip gloss was left completely off.

"Hey!" Caterina beamed, waving her hand excitedly when Danielle opened the door, cheeks flushed. "Lines?" She held up her script and Danielle looked back into trailer where Stefania was still looking in the mirror.

"Sure, but my girlfriend is here,"

"Ah, even better!" The smile on Caterina's face was so forced it was almost painful but Danielle just shrugged it off and let her in. Stefania turned around and bit the inside of her cheek when she realised that they were interrupted by Caterina of all people.

"Uh, Caterina this is-"

"Stefania,"

"Oh, I told you her name? Must've forgot,"

"No, no. Could never forget that face. Clearly the feeling is not mutual," Stefania tilted her head to the side and looked back and forth between Danielle and Caterina.

"Uh..."

"It's okay if you don't remember. It was a long time ago and I've changed a lot. I don't even go by the same name so," Caterina trailed off as she fiddled with the staple on her script.

"What am I missing here?" Danielle asked, her girlfriend seemed to be expressionless, it was the quietest she had ever seen Caterina, but there was a very odd tension in the trailer.

"Luc... Your eyes are still the same," It all suddenly clicked in Stefania's head and she wasn't sure if she needed to cry or throw up.

"Yep," Caterina nervously laughed, rubbing the back of her neck. "Uh, how are you?"

"Good, yeah. You?"

"Good, good," Danielle stood in the middle of the two, completely lost. "This is... I didn't expect this,"

"No, me neither," Stefania laughed nervously and looked at Danielle. She didn't really know what to say. "Luc and I, Caterina, we knew each other a while ago,"

"Ah. As in, dated?" Danielle asked because that was the only reason she could think of that would explain why they were acting so odd.

"Something like that,"

"You know what, I think we're good for our lines this scene. I'll see you on set?" Caterina didn't even wait for an answer as she walked to the door.

"Yeah, sure," Danielle said but Caterina was already gone. "Do I need more information here?"

"It was a long time ago, Danielle." Stefania sighed, leaning against the wall. "We kind of had this... thing but I was so terrified of what my father would do, I just... pretended she didn't exist. Which was wrong because, well she told me that she was in love with me and I think I may have been too but was too scared to admit it to myself. A lot was going on back then anyway and stuff happened and I thought that I would never see her again," Stefania trailed off as she looked at the ground. Danielle was trying her best to take it all in. It was a bizarre situation.

"Uh, are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just a little shocked, I guess," Stefania said as memories that had been repressed so far down started to pop up again. Danielle walked up to her girlfriend and held her face in her hands, making her look at her but she already seemed distant.

"Don't shut me out, okay? I feel like this is deeper than you're letting on," Stefania didn't say anything else, just looked into Danielle's eyes, searching for her peace. The brunette barely nodded her head but Danielle could understand. "Okay. I'm going to be called to set soon but we'll talk more after,"

"We don't have to-"

"I'm not taking no for an answer,"
