Chapter 97
The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage
They were both delighted to see a familiar face after so many years, and Gina quickly asked, âWhat are you doing here?â
âOh, Mr. Yates just caught a cold and was admitted.â Greg smiled. âI came to visit him.â
âMr. Yates?â Gina asked in curiosity.
âRiverton commerce guildâs chief, Timmy Yates,â Greg replied.
Gina was surprised. âYou know him? Whatâs the connection there?â
âPartners, I guess,â Greg chuckled. âI started a pharmaceutical company two years ago and made bank, and Iâve just recently started talks with Mr. Yates in hopes of a partnership. Itâs only natural that I visit since heâs sick.â
âOh!â Gina exclaimed. âYouâve done well for yourself, partnering with a bigwig in just a few years since I last saw you.â
âI was just lucky,â Greg replied humbly. âSo what brings you here, Gina?â
Gina sighed and started rambling about her troubles seeing that Greg was her old classmate. âMy daughter was admitted. She had the bad luck to cross paths with Leo Grayson, and his boss Finn Chandler cut her face, leaving a scar. Sheâs been depressed every day, and Iâm getting depressed over that too.â
Greg frowned. âWhat? Poor Helenâ¦â
Gina started sobbing, her voice choking with tears as she continued, âWhat will she do from now on?
Thereâs no one managing the company, and sheâs not willing to go outside. Itâs over for the family if this goes onâ¦
Something occurred to Greg just then, and he clapped Gina on the shoulder reassuringly. âYour daughterâs name is Helen, isnât it?â
âYesâ¦â Gina sobbed.
Greg nodded emotionally. âYouâve really raised her well, Gina.â
Helen was certainly a rising star in Riverton after securing that project with the Turnbulls.
âSo what? Iâd rather she was the way before, even if we lose a little money,â Gina cried and leaned on Gregâs shoulder as she started to bawl.
Greg stroked his chin with one hand while holding Gina with the other. âDonât worry, Gina. I just happened to be acquainted with Dan Zimmer. Who knows, he might be able to help.â
Gina looked up right then. âRâReally? You can contact Mr. Zimmer? Can he really help?â
âDonât worry,â Greg said confidently. âHeâs the best healer in Rivertonâa small scar isnât much. Iâll call him and ask.â
Ginaâs eyes were filled with hope right then. âTâThatâs wonderful!â
Greg whipped out his phone to call Dan, who soon answered. âHello, whoâs this?â
Greg said politely, âMr. Zimmer? Itâs me, Greg Marsh, from Handrock Corp.â
âOh, Mr. Marsh. What can I do for you?â Dan asked, somewhat remembering the name.
âSo my friendâs daughter has a facial scarâI wonder if you can help treat her?â Greg quickly asked.
Money is not a problem as long as you can treat her.â
Dan did a double takeâanother woman with a facial scar?
Frank had just left, too!
âWhatâs her name?â Dan asked in curiosity.
