Having acquired the Dairy King’s mansion, Vlad needed to build a lab, but where? Underground would probably be best. He didn’t want visitors to find it.

How could he make it? He would need a contractor and construction workers. That presented a problem. He didn’t want anyone to know about his lab. Overshadowing wouldn’t work; he might as well do the construction himself. Would he have to kill them afterward? He had never killed anyone thus far in his climb to wealth, and he didn’t want to start now.

Vlad spent days considering his options. He didn’t have many. Kill his employees or let them live? Eventually, he decided murder just wasn’t worth it. The best he could do was make them sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Decision made, Vlad went to work. He had his lawyer draw up papers for the NDA. He hired someone to design the space and the secret passage leading to it. He researched the best contractors and chose one after careful consideration. Finally, construction began.
