13 Truth
DannyMay 2025 w/ Chelsea Ghost [Danny Phantom Fanfiction] (Complete)
When Jacob came over for the first time, Chelsea sequestered him in her room for a little chat. He sat on her bed and asked what she wanted to talk about.
âYou never told me the comics are real!â Chelsea said.
Jacob avoided her blazing eyes. âWhat comics?â
âYou know what comics,â Chelsea said. âYour comics. The ones you made for me. Tell me the truth. Phantom is real. All of the ghosts are real.â
Jacob sighed. âYeah, itâs real.â
âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âI⦠I donâtââ
âYou donât know?â
âWait a minute,â Jacob said, âhow did you find out?â
It was Chelseaâs turn to look away. âI⦠saw Phantom out of my window.â
Jacob frowned. âYouâre lying.â
âNo, Iâm not! You never answered my question.â
âWhat question?â
âWhy didnât you tell me?â Chelsea repeated.
âBecause it kinda sucks,â Jacob muttered.
âWhat does?â
âHaving ghost fights all over town.â

âThen why did you make the comics in the first place?â Chelsea wondered.
âWell, it was cool at first. Yâknow, having a local superhero and all that. But, over time, the reality of constant fighting kicked in.â
âWhat reality is that?â
Jacob winced. âDestruction.â
Chelseaâs mouth hung open. After a moment, she said, âOh.â
âYeah,â Jacob said.
They were quiet for a time, then he glared at her. âYou never told me the truth about how you found out.â
âYes, I did.â
âNo, you didnât. Come on, spill.â
Chelsea bit her lip, thinking. Phantom had told her to keep it a secret, but this was Jacob, her best friend! Surely he could be trusted.
She sighed. âAlright, Iâll tell you. But you canât tell anyone else!â
âWho would I tell?â
âI donât know. Maybe Jimmy and Jo?â
âCross my heart, I wonât tell them,â Jacob said, making the action.
Chelsea sighed again, preparing herself. âDonât freak out.â
âWhy would Iââ
âGhost time!â
The transformation rings swept over her body, leaving her in her ghost form. Jacobâs eyes went wide. Chelsea didnât move from her wheelchair, letting him take it all in.
âYouâyouâyouâre aâ¦â Jacob cocked his head. âWhat are you?â
âPhantom called me a halfa,â Chelsea said. âHalf a ghost, half a human. And look.â Carefully, she stood up out of her chair, wobbling. She managed to stand for two seconds and then had to sit back down.
âYou can stand?â Jacob said in awe.
âA little. I think with practice, Iâll be able to walk. For now, itâs easier to fly.â
âYou can fly?â
Chelsea giggled. âYup! Itâs so amazing!â
âSo, then, do you have ghost powers?â Jacob asked enthusiastically. âLike ectoblasts?â
âI donât know. I havenât tried.â Chelsea transformed back into a human.
âWell, obviously you have some, if you can fly. Can you go invisible? Intangible?â
Chelsea giggled again. The two of them talked about ghosts for hours until it was time for dinner. She reminded him to keep the secret, and he promised he would.
