The Serpent 🐍 S. Stilinski

You would think a small town like Beacon Hills would be:

Safe

Decent

Innocent

Get closer, though, and you start seeing the shadows underneath.

This town has a history that runs far deeper than everyone knows. But like how secrets goes it's hidden in plain sight. All you have to do is dig a little deeper and you'll find the truth.

Take the name of this little town:

Beacon Hills.

Sounds innocent,

A play on words,

And also a bit ironic considering the location of the town is in a valley.

But the irony runs deeper, so deep you'll be seeing things that go bump in the night.

Literally.

That's exactly what Sweet Pea found out when he ditched the rest of the school day.

He found his new hang out that actually a bar. With his height and his demeanor (which he knows it's just the jacket he sported at the moment) he didn't need to be 21 to enter the bar or get a stiff drink.

After spending a few hours playing pool and getting to know the bartender he left. It was actually night time and he didn't know this town very well to know which way was the house he currently resided in.

So he flipped a coin --heads-- guess he's going right. We walked down the street, some people avoiding him as he past. Either he was more tipsy than he thought but he somehow ended up at the woods.

Then again he still knew his left from his right and what up and down was, so he concluded he was just tipsy. But the longer he walked he seemed to get more sober.

Then the unexpected happened he heard a child running and whimpering. Then later faster footsteps and whoever that was, didn't care if they were heard or not.

He followed the sounds and what he saw got his mind reeling. He saw a shed and some random dude lifting the shed from the foundation.

Only this time, the dude was hairy, extremely hairy. Especially around his face and hands, except where it counts --his head.

Sweet Pea sighs as he hears the children whimper. If he didn't do anything now they were most likely going to be gobbled up like nuggets.

He looks around for something and found a large stick. Flimsy and probably won't do much damage. I toss it behind me until I finally see a bigger branch. I lift it up and I smirk in satisfaction, I run to the hairy man and swung the branch. It knocked him back as the shed crashed back to the ground.

I hear the man growl as he got up as I cringe. "Dude you fugly." I spoke he came right at me as I kick him back as hard as I could and I picked up the branch and swung at him.

He got even more mad and threw me into a tree. I groan as I felt the stinging pain. I hear the children scream as I see the guy rip up the shed and threw it away.

"Fugly got strength." I grunt as I got up and went to tackle the man. I I hear the growling increase as I threw one punch in this guy's face when suddenly someone pulls me up and away from from the hairy guy.

"Sweet Pea?!" A familiar voice asked as I turn and see puppy eyes. He looks at me worried and his phone rang.

Something wrapped their arms around me as I tense and turn around. I see two little kids, a boy and girl. I awkwardly wrap my arms around the kids.

It's not that I don't know how to handle kids or that I don't like them it's just, I don't know what to do with them. I'm just plain awkward with them, I relate more to animals than people.

"Yeah I just have to drop something off first and deal with someone real quick." I hear Scott say over the phone.

I could feel him staring at us as I look up and see him looking at us. I saw relief and worry in his eyes.

He hung up and walked up to us, "Let's get you guys home." He spoke to the kids. They nod and we begin our journey.

"Listen about what just happened-" I cut off puppy eyes as I walk past him.

"Don't start puppy eyes. I'm just going to find my way back to the house I'm currently residing in. This little "bonding" didn't happen. I'm not here to make friends."

Scott looks at the boy as he walks down a different direction. He wasn't sure if Sweet Pea knew what Boyd was and if he did, he didn't take note of it. Which could be a good or bad thing.

Good because from the smell of the alcohol Scott could just say he found Sweet Pea in a drunken state and it was all an hallucination.

Bad because the smell maybe evident but it wasn't enough to be considered overly drunk meaning Sweet Pea knows what he saw. But from the calm steady heart beat, Scott wasn't sure if this kid already knew about werewolves.

But the signs showed he already knows.

"Sweet Pea wait! Listen I need you to come with me, the woods aren't safe." Scott spoke as he quickly followed the new kid. Sweet Pea sighs annoyed by the fact Chihuahuas friends don't seem to get the hint.

"I told you, I'm not here to make friends, puppy eyes."

"I know but still after what just happened . . ." Scott trailed off not knowing what the correct term he could use.

Sweet Pea rolls his eyes, already sensing the inner battle this kid was having. If he gave in now they might actually leave him alone. So that's what he did, he followed puppy eyes to wherever in the woods.

If he was going to die tonight, he wouldn't object. It's not that he's suicidal, he just doesn't fear death. He had many close encounters with death and he can honestly say, death has become his friend.

Long story short: he wouldn't mind dying tonight so he followed the Latino.

Derek was already on the edge, not just from the full moon but the fact Boyd and his sister we're running around the woods during a full moon.

Not exactly how he pictured his night going, then again when does it go his way?

"Hey sorry I'm late, I had something important to deal with." Scott spoke up as Sweet Pea stood behind him.

He saw another man that was older and looked really hot. Then again the people in this town were hot, it had be the water. Or the fact most people in this town are probably supernatural.

"Who is this?" Derek asked taking notice of the tall boy.

He never seen the boy and he looked like he stepped out of a 50s movie. "This is Sweet Pea, Sweet Pea this is Derek." Scott introduced.

"Sweet Pea?" Derek quirked a brow wondering what kind of name that was.

"Derek?" Sweet Pea spoke in the same tone. A silent challenge was passed between them. No one backed down like a battle for dominance.

Scott awkwardly cleared his throat, already telling Sweet Pea and Derek weren't going to be the best of friends.

Before more words were exchanged they heard a scream. Derek and Scott immediately took off after the sound. Sweet Pea stood there pondering.

"Run after and face possible death. Run the other way and stay alive." It didn't take long to figure out the answer. He took off after the other two.

"I've never been one to make good decisions."

Just as he arrived at the location he saw another fugly person. "More fugly people." The hairy person turns towards him and attacked him. He groans as the girl jumped on top of him.

On instinct he threw a punch and punched the girl. The hairy girl growls as she fell down to her side. Just as he was about to get out someone punched him in the face.

"Derek!!" Scott yells as he pulls him away from Sweet Pea who fell back to the ground.

"He punched my sister." Derek seethed, she may be under the influence of the moon but it was still his sister.

"That doesn't mean -- Sweet Pea!" Scott yells as the new kid got up and punched Derek. Derek fell to the ground growling as his eyes glowed. He got up ready to take a swing but Sweet Pea kicked Derek in the stomach and sent him back to the ground.

"Don't fucking cross me!" Sweet Pea growls, he didn't care if this Derek dude was a fucking werewolf (dog in his opinion) no one punches him and doesn't pay the consequences.

"Enough!!" Scott yells before things escalated. But it was too late, Cora was gone and they lost their chance to getting her.

"Whatever." Sweet Pea spits as he turns and walked away ignoring the calls from puppy eyes.

Of course nothing in this town was normal. Not even someone who looked as innocent as Snow white.

Who was currently holding a dagger and about to cut herself. "Never pictured Snow White as suicidal." Sweet Pea spoke up.

Allison jumped and turn seeing the boy from school. "Uh-uhm." She tried to come up with a lie, the last thing she needed was to bring the new guy into this mess.

"No need. You need blood to capture the dog's attention." Sweet Pea spoke walking up to her.

She gave him a confused look, "Werewolves. I call them dogs."

She nods as sighs in relief but questions filled her mind. "You know about the supernatural? How?"

"It's no secret I'm in a gang." He paused as he nods to his jacket that held the Serpent logo. Allison nods, all of the school already knows. Rumors already begun to spread about the boy in front of her. Many of which are dark.

"Well when you've been in my line of work and lifestyle for the most of your life you're bound to meet interesting people." That's all he said about how he knew about supernatural world. Allison knew that was all she was going to get.

"Let me." The boy spoke taking the weapon from her hand and made a small cut on his wrist (near the big vein) and watched as a few drops of blood fell to the ground.

"Thank you." She spoke, truly meaning it. She knew she could do this by herself but someone being there beside her gave her comfort. Even from someone she hardly knew.

Sweet Pea and Allison then left to set up traps. Surprisingly, Allison was impressed with how well Sweet Pea set up traps. It was like he was a hunter himself, maybe he was. At least that's what Allison thought as she watched Sweet Pea line up the trip wire.

Not wanting to be caught staring she looked away, "I know I'm interesting to look at and most likely you'll have questions. Shoot before I change my mind." Sweet Pea spoke smirking at the hunter.

Allison smiled slightly, "Okay. Uh, what's your real name? It can't be Sweet Pea." Sweet Pea snorts, of course that was going to be the first question. Everyone wanted to know his name and why was he called Sweet Pea. But like everyone he asked he wouldn't say. No one would know his name.

"Sorry snow white, but my name is off limits. Where I come from, why am I here." Allison sighs. She knew it was a long shot but it was worth the try. She decided to ask another question.

"Okay, are you a hunter?" Sweet Pea chuckled. He shook his head, "I'm as much as a hunter as the human Chihuahua I'm going to be living with."

"You know about the supernatural world, you know about traps and I'm guessing you know how to use weapons." Allison used the night vision goggles as Sweet Pea smirks.

"Is that a statement or a question?"Allison smiles as glanced at the tall boy.

"A statement. My question is how old were you when you found about this side of the world." She overlooked the town as Sweet Pea sighs. He thought back to the many deliveries and runs.

"6? 7?" Sweet Pea picks up one of Allison's many weapons. From daggers to bow and arrows.

"Wha-" Sweet Pea was interrupted when two distinct howls are heard, on the other side of the town. Allison sighs standing up, they were supposed to be on this side of the woods.

Sweet Pea may only been in this town for a day but he was sure he knew more about the supernatural world than any of them. From what he guessed he already knew who was what in this town.

Puppy eyes was a werewolf, guessing from how pure of heart the kid was, he was bitten (not by choice).

Snow White here was a hunter, from how she handles the bow, she comes from a long line of hunters. And with the awkward tension between her and puppy eyes, they had a thing and it didn't work out.

Derek (who looks like an angry pug) was a born werewolf since his group. How close he and puppy eyes are I'm assuming he's "the guy in the chair" or along those lines. It would help since his father is the sheriff.

With the strawberry shortcake, Sweet Pea wasn't sure what she was. He didn't hang out with her alot (not like he did with anyone else here) but he didn't find her running in the middle of the woods at night, so she wasn't a creature of the night.

The tall guy, Issac (who reminds Sweet Pea of a poodle) tall, slightly scrawny and extremely curly hair. Poodle must be a werewolf (a damaged one) by the judgement of how slightly submissive he is. Definitely a beta by heart.

Great, Sweet Pea thought as he walked down the hill with Allison. I just met the fucking Scooby Gang of the supernatural world.

•••

"Thanks Snow White. Whatever I told you stays between us. Last thing I need is Scooby Gang trying to convert me into their cult." Sweet Pea spoke as he closed the door. Allison smirks and chuckles. The views on Sweet Pea changed he wasn't heartless.

He wasn't an underground crime Lord (I think) or a fugitive from the law (I think). Allison sighs as she realized he opened up but she was further from the truth and just lead her to more questions.

She just smiled at the references the boy seemed to make, apparently the guy has a thing with nicknames.

The only thing she was worried about now was if Issac was going to say anything about seeing her and Sweet Pea at the school.
