chapter 3
Unmarried Mother
Thinking about all those thoughts I reached my home. My home was my small apartment which was taken by me and Sudha just before six months. Sudha was a girl of 28 yrs old and my bestie from my schooltime, you can say that she was the only one person with whom I shared my every sorrow and happiness and for that time she was the only person on which i can depend. At the age of twenty two Sudha started a food truck business and I was fifty percent partner of her business means u can say that we together started business and thanks to God it was very successful then we started a restaurant named s- square, u can't believe it was amazingly successful and in that time we got people to manage business so there was nothing more work to do so only Sudha used to manage business and then I got the teacher job and I thought it was good and at that time my babies were already 3 yrs old so I planned to do teaching. I was just entering to the house I heard a voice from my back "Adwiti's mom" when I turn back it was Mrs Chawla " O hlo Mrs Chawla!". Mrs Chawla was our only neighbour my house was number nine and her was a number eight, she was a housewife her husband Mr Chawla was a businessman, and had a ten years old son, the most important point was Mrs Chawla was a perfect Indian neighbour who never forgets her duties. But that day I didn't know which cloud was going to rain! "Do u have a minute to spare for me?" She asked " O yes Mrs Chawla, but I have only one minute to spare now" I replied. Mrs Chawla was not a bad person but she was not a good person either to share your thoughts. She said " She is my friend Mrs Arora and her son is going to be six years old and she wants to transfer her son to your school, Can u help her?" Then I said "why not?" Then for a while I discussed about all the formalities for transfer, after all that I started to walk towards my home door, I was not that distance I heard theri talking from my back" what is her husband doing?" Mrs Arora asked " ssshh talk slowly otherwise she will listen to u, she don't have a husband" Mrs Chawla said. " I never heard anything about her husband and also anyone asked about that to her she never said anything, I think her husband may be left them or dead, she is a good girl I don't think her children are bastard". By saying this they laughed together, I could hear their laughing which was a thorn for my heart but I never wanted to replied. Yes it was true that I had no husband. My home had four members my two children, my bestie and me. It may be looks like incomplete but I had a happy family.
