Shortly, the door was opened by a beautiful, slender woman with a perfect figure.

Envy flitted across Linda’s eyes, but she reminded herself to keep it in check.

She smiled at the newcomer. “You’re finally here.”

Nicole appraised her with a conflicting expression and gave her a nod as a reply.

Linda pointed at the seat across her. “Take a seat.”

She had already ordered coffee for both of them, so no time would be wasted.

Besides, the main reason for making the trip was to have a talk, and it did not matter what they were going to drink.

Nicole showed no intention of drinking the coffee. She merely looked at Linda calmly. “You insisted on meeting me. What’s what?”

Linda took off her mask and sunglasses. A bright smile appeared on her pretty face.

“Ms. Tabor, I bet you already know the reason.”

Nicole looked at her without uttering a word.

Linda’s smile turned tragic and sarcastic. “I must admit that I love Gareth and longed to be with him. But I have accepted the reality – it’s impossible.”

Nicole frowned and waited for her to continue.

Linda didn’t want to beat around the bush. Without wasting more time, she said, “I’m sure you know my current state and relationship with Elisa. I’m tired of seeing her interactions with Gareth lately. On the other hand, it’s no secret that you adore Gareth. Are you willing to give up?”

Nicole looked at her, frowning. “That’s none of your business.”

Linda smiled mockingly. If she doesn’t need my help, she won’t agree to meet me today.

“I can understand your feelings. I’ve fallen for him since young – perhaps even longer than you.”
