Soulmates who weren't meant to be

As much as it makes me happy

seeing you smile

It just hurts me to see that

we are going different ways

Maybe we aren't destined to be

Or I'm not destined to have

what I love the most

But the love I have

seems to be constant

even if we aren't

And I'm left here to ask

Why ?

Oh why do I still love you

When I know

That you might never

Love me back

I'm trying not to

But I just can't

I'll bury it inside

As long as I can

Until it fades into oblivion
