Chapter Twelve

I fixed my necklace & made sure my hair was ok, Maya called me to set up a dinner so we can talk, I was surprised she got back to me after all this time, I had to look good because on telling her some good news & maybe then we could make up.

"Hey" Drew said walking in the room with some bags.

"What are you doing?" I asked raising my eyebrow

"If you must know I came to get the rest of my stuff"

"Good that shit is taking up space" I said causing her shake her head.

"And you say I am the one that wants to argue all the time"

I rolled my eyes, grabbing my phone off the charger & my purse.

"Just be gone by the time I get back."

"Where you going?"

"How many times do I have to tell you, none of your fucking business just get out of my house" I said walking out with her right behind me.

"You know what enough of this shit, you going to see Maya?" She questioned me causing me to stop walking & turn back toward her.

"What did you say?"

"You heard me Valerie don't play games with me, you thought I didn't know" she folded her arms

I shook my head looking up at the ceiling. "Angie told you"

"You damn right & Jax knew before I did."

"Drew it wasn't like that"

"Like what huh, you been fucking this bitch after I tried to make our marriage work for a year!"

"First of all, you can't talk about nobody ok, we were separated what the hell did you want me to do, allow you to keep cheating on me & turn my head!"

"No I wanted you to allow me to fix what happened, I didn't mean for any of this to happen!"

"But it did!" I cried out.

"I thought maybe if we had a baby you would change for the better Drew but no all that time I spent with our daughter you was out fucking other raggedy ass bitches!"

"Let me finish, yes I fucked Maya before knowing she was friends with Jax she paid attention to me Drew called me beautiful took care of my body & cared what I thought instead of using me like a trophy wife!"

"Val I am sorry"

I shook my head, "your right Drew you are sorry fuck you & Angie, I know you been fucking her for years why am I not surprised she told you"

Her eyes got wide, I knew about Drew & my best friend everyone did but of course I turned a blind eye trying not to believe it but later found Angie's panties in Drew's pants pocket.

I shook my head & rolled my eyes headed toward the door, "Be gone by the time I get back or I will call the cops"

I wiped my tears as I looked over at the restaurant wondering if I should go in here or not, I didn't plan on telling me Maya about Drew knowing about us but I knew we needed to be honest about everything if this was going to work between us.

I sighed walking inside to see Maya sitting there looking at her phone, I gently smiled walking over to her.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked causing her to look up at me.

"Hi" She said standing up walking over hugging me tightly.

I embraced her back feeling her a bit, "Lord I have missed you"

"I missed you too" She said looking at me before letting me go & we sat down at the table.

"So how you been?"

"Honestly Maya not good" I admitted

"What's wrong?" She questioned grabbing my hand that was on the table.

"Nothing let's just enjoy our time together" I put a fake smile on, she knew something was up but let it go.

"Ok"

We enjoyed some drinks & some food, "Jax came to see me"

"Really?"

"Yeah, we talked about you honestly"

I raised an eyebrow, "What about me?"

"Umm.." She trailed.

"Valerie, Drew told me to break things off with you"

"What?" I asked confused as fuck.

"The night I got mad at you, Cliff, Paula & I went to a club & Drew was there she told me to break things off with you or she was going to get my business shut down & ruin me."

"That bitch..." I trailed.

"I never wanted to end things with you but I had no choice."

"I understand but tonight before I came here we got into an argument about us, My so called best friend Angie told her."

"Why would she do that?"

"Because Maya she & Drew have been sleeping together for years, I knew"

"Why didn't you leave then Val"

"Can we please not talk about that part, I can't believe she did that to you Maya I am so sorry" I said touching her hand.

"It's ok" She shrugged.

"I will take care of it don't worry" She smiled standing up reaching out for me to take her hand.

"What are you doing?" I asked giggling.

"Let's dance, I dont want to talk about anything or anyone but us right now" She said smirking at me.

"Ok" I nodded & took her hand, we walked over to the dance floor where other couples were.

I wrapped my arms around her waist & she wrapped her hands around my neck.

"You know we never did this before" She said

"I know we need to change that" I smiled genuinely.

Our Love by Natalie Cole played as we kept still kisses & dancing closely.

We ended up back at a hotel that was near by we couldn't wait to touch each other.

All I was worried about in this moment was being with the woman I loved..
