Chapter 205

During the Q&A segment of her birthday party, Chu Xiang sang yet another new song that was cheerful and lighthearted. Complimenting her singing, her stunning dance performance electrified the whole audience, brightening the mood.

The birthday party went on for four whole hours before coming to an end. After heading backstage, Chu Xiang said to the audience via the large screen, “Everyone, please make sure to pay attention to your safety as you leave the venue one by one.”

“Chu Xiang—— Chu Xiang——” Her fans were naturally unwilling to part ways with her. Standing in their original positions, they stared at the large screen without any intention to leave.

Pondering for a moment, Chu Xiang eventually came to understand the feelings of her fans and jokingly said, “In that case, how about I take my leave first? Will you guys be willing to go back home after I leave?”

The staff relayed their wishes, much to her amusement.

“Alright, I’ll change into another outfit before leaving.” Handing her phone over to Xiao Tao, Chu Xiang went into the dressing room to change clothes.

When she came back out, she had already untied her hair as it draped freely down her shoulders. Sitting before the makeup mirror, she chatted with her fans while cleaning off the makeup on her face with a wet wipe. She had gone back to her usual appearance, similar to that of a campus belle. It gave off a completely different feel from her stage persona.

Her fans watched the live broadcast both in silence and elation as they found themselves extremely lucky to have experienced this unexpected turn of events.

Dressed in a red overcoat, Chu Xiang was holding onto her phone. Xiao Tao showed her a message.

“Sister Xiang, Director Zhou wants you to go out by yourself. He claims to have prepared a pleasant surprise for you. Why don’t you end the live broadcast?”

Chu Xiang thought for a moment and decided to turn off the live broadcast the moment she went out. She walked out alone and said with a smile just as she arrived at the exit, “I’ll be taking my leave now~ Thank you so much for coming to my concert. You should go back home now. I hope to see you again next time. Anyways, I’ll be ending the live broadcast now.”

Before she even finished speaking, two rows of yellow lights glowed faintly on both sides of the path outside the door. She noticed Zhou Ye walked over towards her from the opposite end of the path and immediately turned off the live broadcast.

Zhou Ye grinned. He gently grasped her right hand and bowed his head to kiss its back. “Your Majesty, I have come to pick you up.”

After waiting for him to stand back up, Chu Xiang leaned into his embrace and looked up at him with a smile. “What should we do? I was live streaming to my fans just now and might have caught you on camera. The image of the heir of the Zhou Group wearing the outfit of a butler is about to be leaked onto the internet.”

“You were live streaming?” Zhou Ye, though slightly astounded, did not mind the turn of events as he laughed. “If it leaks out, so be it. Besides, I look quite handsome, and it isn’t as if I’m shameful of my actions. What’s there to be afraid of?”

“I knew you wouldn’t care about it.”

Touching the button on his chest, Chu Xiang swept her gaze towards him, giggling. “This is the pleasant surprise you prepared for me? Then, will we be going home now?”

“Of course.” Zhou Ye whispered softly into her ears, “Your Majesty, we’ll do whatever you want to do today.”

Dragging Chu Xiang along towards the direction of his car, Zhou Ye pondered on the matter regarding the livestream just now and asked, “Does it really not matter? Do you want me to ask the company to keep a lookout on things?”

“Since it might have been leaked, we might as well reveal everything straightforwardly. There’s no need to make up lies. It isn’t as if we’ve done anything to be shameful of.”

“Aren’t you afraid of losing your fans?”

“I only care about the fans who accept me for who I am. I don’t care about any of the ones who leave halfway down the road. Regardless of the cause, they are free to be skeptical of my actions or to meddle with my life. I will only pamper my true fans. As for the outsiders, I will have nothing to do with them.”
