Chapter 2390

When she did not see Daniel, Ava's heart skipped a beat. She felt uneasy for some reason.

Recalling the previous car accident, Ava immediately took out her phone to call Daniel. She held the phone as her hand trembled uncontrollably.

‘Please, don’t let Dan be in trouble.’

Ava prayed silently in her heart, but she could not get through to Daniel’s phone.

This uneasy feeling caused Ava's heart to completely lose its normal rhythm.

She wanted to find Daniel but did not know where to look.

Suddenly, familiar footsteps approached from behind her. Ava turned around abruptly. “Dan— Mr.

Lowe.” When she saw Tom, Ava's expectations were also completely shattered.

Yet, Tom still gave Ava a friendly smile. “I saw from the lobby that you’ve been standing here alone fora long time. You seem to be very distressed. Is there anything I can help you with?”

Ava was stunned and shook her head. “No, I'm waiting for my friend, but he doesn't seem to be here yet. I can’t get through to him either.”

When Tom found out what was going on, he nodded. “ If you're worried, I can take you to find your friend.” “It’s alright.” Ava decisively refused and turned her head to look around. “I think he should be on the way, so it’ll be better for me to wait for him here.”

Ava was very insistent, so Tom did not say anything. However, when he was about to turn around, he seemed to have seen an acquaintance. A smile appeared on his face as he greeted the person.

“Mr. Long, what a coincidence.”

‘Mr. Long?’

Ava immediately knew who it was.

“It’s not a coincidence. I came to look for you.” Neil's voice approached closer, and Ava turned her back to Neil. When she was about to avoid him, Neil spotted her. “Ava?”

Ava paused, not knowing whether she should continue to wait or not.

At this time, Ava desperately wanted Daniel to appear. That way she could be sure that he was safe and he could get her out of this situation.

Just when she was thinking about it, Ava's phone suddenly rang.

She looked at it immediately. Unexpectedly, it was really Daniel.

Daniel said there was some traffic on the road and since there was no signal, he was not able to answer Ava’s call in time or reply to her messages.

When Ava saw Daniel’s reply, she immediately calmed down.

“Ava, it’s been a long time since I saw you. Considering it’s such a coincidence, I wonder if I can invite you to have dinner with me?”

Neil walked in front of Ava and cautiously invited her. Ava was in a good mood after seeing Daniel’s reply. Hence, she blurted out, “Okay.”

“That’s great!” Neil was overjoyed. He did not think that Ava would agree so quickly.

Ava finally realized that she had agreed too quickly. At that moment, she held her phone, not knowing what to say.

Tom seemed to be able to tell Ava’s uneasiness. He smiled and asked, “Ava, didn’t you say you were waiting for someone just now?”
