Chapter 2388
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Naya's mother could barely hold her phone.
She calmed herself down and asked incredulously, â Are you telling the truth? Are you really?â
After Naya's mother asked more questions, she finally got an answer.
She could barely stand still. She leaned back on the sofa while feeling dizzy.
âI want to see Naya! I want to see Naya now!â
After his wifeâs strong demands, Ethan finally managed to get them the chance to see Naya through his connections.
It was almost the 20th day of Naya's imprisonment. Naya's mother did not expect to visit Naya like this.
Naya was currently in the detention ward in prison. As soon as Naya's mother saw Naya, she wanted to rush over, but the guards stopped her and reminded her.
âThe two of you only have ten minutes. Donât talk loudly. If thereâs any violation of the rules, Iâll ask you to leave immediately.â
Naya's mother did not listen to what the man said. She just looked at Naya and nodded casually.
Ethan nodded his head seriously. Then, the man went to the door to keep watch.
Naya's mother ran to Naya's side immediately when she saw that the man was gone.
âNaya!â Naya's mother's eyes were full of distress. â Naya, why are you so stupid? Youâre not the one whoâs at fault, so why are you hurting yourself?â
Even though Ethan knew that Naya was in the wrong this time, she was still his biological daughter. He was heartbroken when he looked at Naya's pale and haggard face.
âNaya, no matter what, you can't do anything to hurt yourself.â
âHeh.â Naya sneered and glanced at the masterpiece on her wrist. âDo you think I couldâve gotten to see you if I hadnât done this?â
Hearing this, Ethan and his wife looked at each other. Then, they turned their eyes back to Naya at the same time. âNaya, y-you mean you cut your wrist on purpose just to see me and your father?â
Naya did not want to waste her breath explaining. She frowned slightly due to the pain. After all, the cut on her wrist was real. If it was slightly deeper, she would have already gone to the afterlife.
âNaya, we don't have much time to talk. Tell us, why do you want to see me and your mother in such a hurry? As long as itâs within our power, weâll do it for you.â
Ethan promised Naya.
Naya sat up slowly. âOkay, since that's the case, then I won't waste time. I want you to help me get rid of Ava.â 1 Ethan and his wife were stunned for a while. Then, Ethan quickly recovered and persuaded her, saying, â Naya, youâve already gone down this road of no return. Donât you feel any remorse?â
âRemorse?â Naya was amused. âWhy should I? I don't understand how Iâm at fault. You taught me since I was a child that no matter what I do, I must have perseverance. I must persist in doing something and can't give up halfway, so Iâm now determined on doing what I want to do. Am I wrong?
The person who's at fault is that b*tch Ava!â
âRight, youâre right. That b*tch Ava is the one at fault. Naya, youâre not at fault.â Naya's mother hurriedly comforted her and gave Ethan a look. âIt's hard for us to get to meet Naya, so canât you just go along with your daughter? What's more, the reason why Naya ended up where she is now is because of Ava.â
