Chapter 2370
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Madeline looked up and saw a man dressed in black and sunglasses. He looked like a thief or a robber.
She was sure that she did not know this man, but she felt that he was inexplicably familiar.
After thinking about it for a second or two, Madeline suddenly remembered that this man was the thug who kidnapped Ava.
Madeline's eyes lit up as she recalled the footage Jeremy showed her last night. This man in front of her was surely the one who kidnapped Ava.
Knock, knock, knock. The man knocked on Madeline's car window again.
Madeline cautiously lowered the window a little. The gap was not enough for anyone to reach their hand in. She looked at the man with a calm and puzzled expression, âSir, what's the matter?â
âYouâre Eveline Montgomery, right?â the man asked directly, and his voice which was as rough as sandpaper made Madeline even more certain that he was the kidnapper who wanted a ransom of ten million dollars.
âI am. May I ask who you are...â
âEveline, I don't want to waste my breath with you. Open the door now.â The man was very direct. He raised his hand and knocked on the car window again. Madeline already felt that this person was quite dangerous. She quietly picked up her mobile phone and wanted to call Jeremy, but at this moment, the man suddenly slammed the car window with a loud bang.
âHurry up and open the door!â the man ordered fiercely.
Madeline did not panic, but at the same time, she also sensed the crisis.
She raised her arrogant brows and looked at him imposingly. âWhat do you want?â
âIT want to take you to meet your good friend.â
"...."
âOpen the door now, or you won't be able to see her again,â the man said in a threatening tone. Even though Madeline could not see his eyes under his sunglasses, Madeline felt that this man could do anything for money.
She had no choice but to open the door.
The man looked at Madeline's clothes with satisfaction. âTake off all your jewelry and give them to me along with your cell phone. Then, follow me and I'll take you to meet your friend.â
Madeline took off her jewelry and handed her phone over according to the man's wishes.
She thought that the man was coveting her jewelry, but she saw him throw her jewelry and phone in the car.
âI heard that your husband is very concerned about you, so there must be a GPS tracker in your jewelry or phone.â The man looked proud.
Madeline did not expect the man to be so smart. He was indeed right.
âIâve removed all of them. Are you going to take me to see Ava now?â Madeline asked calmly.
âThis too.â The man pointed to the ring on Madeline's ring finger.
Madeline raised her hand slightly and stretched it out in front of the man. âThis is a wedding ring. Iâve been wearing it for many years and can't take it off now. Do you think a GPS tracker will fit in such a small ring?â The man looked at Madelineâs wedding ring doubtfully. As he was looking at it, he started having an interest in Madelineâs beautiful hands.
Madeline had sharp eyes and quickly retracted her hand.
âDonât you just want money? Iâm already preparing the money, so why are you here all of a sudden?â
âHow dare you question me?!â The manâs face sank. â I told you not to call the cops. Not only did you call the cops, but you even asked your husband to investigate me.â
«..â Madeline had no idea where the man got this piece of news from. Perhaps Naya was the one who told him.
âCome with me now. Donât try to flee or alert passersby. If Iâm not back within half an hour, Ava will go straight to hell.â
