When Naya heard the servants announcing that Daniel was back, she quickly displayed an obedient and sweet smile. She got up and faced Daniel.

“Dan, you’re back.”

Daniel nodded politely. “Why are you here?”

“Dan, what kind of question is that? Naya is going to be your fiancee soon. Why else do you think she’s here?” Daniel’s mother was smiling but she criticized him.

“Dan, come here. Naya has been waiting a long time for you. This silly child hasn’t eaten lunch yet because she wanted to wait for you.”

“No, Mom. Don’t say nonsense.” Naya’s face turned red as if she was shy.

However, Daniel walked to the living room calmly. “Why were you waiting for me?”

Naya smiled and walked toward Daniel. “Dan, we’re getting engaged this Sunday and everything’s a little rushed. Mom and Dad have prepared the things needed for the ceremony. However, there’s one thing that my mom and the rest of them hope I can buy with you.”

Daniel furrowed his good-looking eyebrows in curiosity. “What is it?”

“Your wedding rings, of course!” Daniel’s mother emphasized, “You should choose a pair of temporary rings. After this, I’ll ask someone to create the world’s best rings for you two.”

“Let’s ask Eveline Montgomery! She’s famous in this industry. The brand that she was a designer for back then had such exquisite collections!” Naya’s mother suggested.

When Daniel heard this, his grip on the velvet box tightened.

Meanwhile, Naya’s face was filled with excitement. “Dan, I heard Eveline was your classmate back in the days. She won’t say no if you ask her, right?”

“She’s not my classmate. She’s my junior.”

“I see…” Nya still wanted to say something when she lowered her eyes and saw Daniel holding a very delicate purple velvet box.

The box looked like it was for a ring.

Naya shifted her eyes elsewhere and did not ask about the box. However, she inched closer to Daniel and asked in a low voice, “Dan, even though the engagement is fake, we still have to make it look real.

We should just go along with our mothers’ plan and go buy a pair of rings.”

Daniel did not want his mother to nag at him, so he agreed.

He placed the box in his hand in his pocket and said, “Let’s go.”

Naya quickly grabbed her bag and followed behind Daniel happily.

Daniel thought Naya would pick a random ring when they got to the jewelry shop. However, they went to a few luxury shops and she still did not choose anything.

After shopping for the entire afternoon, Naya did not see anything she liked. After that, she said she was tired and hungry, so she wanted to go to a cafe nearby to eat.

When she saw Daniel leaning against the chair calmly as he played with his phone, she had an apologetic look on her face.

“Dan, I’m so sorry. I want to choose a ring but women are very picky about the things they like. Even though the engagement is fake, I still want to choose a ring I like.”

Daniel put down the phone and lifted his eyes. He said that he understood. “It’s fine, you can continue browsing. Don’t mind the price. I’ll pay for it.”

“Thank you, Dan.” Naya was thrilled. Then, she looked melancholic. “If possible, I would like Eveline Montgomery to make a ring for me. I love all of the jewelry she’s designed.”

When Daniel heard this, he subconsciously touched his pocket. Naya saw this and calmly took a sip of her coffee. Then, an idea popped up in her head.
