Naya seemed sincere, and the way she spoke made it sound as if she was siding with Ava and Daniel.

It was as though she was taking their wishes into consideration.

When she saw Ava not speaking, Naya continued.

"Ava, this is the best way for now.I don’t think you want Danny to be stuck in a dilemma between you and his family, right?"

After staying silent for a while, Ava lifted the corners of her mouth into a soft smile and praised Naya.

"Miss Mendez, I didn’t think that you'd be so considerate and magnanimous.I think if it’s any other woman, they wouldn’t be willing to do this."

Naya showed a friendly and obedient smile when she heard this.

"Danny and I are childhood sweethearts and we’re good friends.Even though we’re not related by blood, I’ve always thought of him as my biological brother.Plus, I also view Danny’s grandpa as my own grandpa.I really don’t want anything bad to happen to Grandpa, and I don’t want to see Danny so helpless."

Naya’s tone was very soft, but it sounded so sincere.

Ava did not say anything.It looked as if she was thinking about something.

When Naya saw this, she sighed softly in disappointment.

"If I were you, it’d be hard for me to accept this arrangement as well.Even if you know that we’re only getting engaged for show, it’s normal for you to still feel uneasy.I understand, Ava."

"I accept,"Ava said suddenly.

She sounded very decisive.A flash of surprise and shock flashed across Naya’s eyes.

Then, she lifted her eyes to look at Naya profoundly.

"Miss Mendez, you’re so considerate of me and Danny, so I really can’t think of any reason to say no."

"It’s what I should do as a friend."

"No, it’s not," Ava smiled and said.

Naya’s expression froze slightly.She did not understand what Ava meant.

Ava smiled and explained, "Miss Mendez, don’t misunderstand.It’s just that you’re not related to the Grahams at all but you’re sacrificing yourself like this.This is so rare."

The awkwardness on Naya’s face disappeared when she heard Ava praising her.

"Ava, it’s decided, then.I have something to take care of, so I’ll get going now."

Naya grabbed her expensive bag after she said that.

Ava sat there and waved her hand.

"I won’t be sending you off, then."

Naya was not happy with Ava’s cold attitude but she could only keep smiling.

Before she turned around, she stared at Ava’s face for two seconds.She had to admit Ava looked stunning even when she was bare- faced.

After Naya left, Ava leaned against the sofa feeling annoyed.

Naya clearly came prepared.

Even if she said no, Naya would still show up again.

Also, she did not want anything to happen to Daniel’s grandfather.

Ava thought about it silently and looked at the time.It was only eight.

Hence, she randomly grabbed a pillow and fell asleep.

After some time passed, Ava suddenly smelled the fragrance of food.

She thought she was dreaming, but when she opened her eyes, she saw Daniel’s handsome figure and the sumptuous food on the bar counter.

Ava quickly sat up and realized there was a fluffy blanket on top of her.She took a look at her phone and saw it was already noon.She had no idea she had been asleep for so long.
