Chapter 2125
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Madeline saw that Jeremy still had doubts about Hannah, so that was why he asked her out here to speak to her alone.
Sure enough, as soon as they arrived at the next office, Jeremy urged Madeline solemnly.
âLinnie, I still find it a bit weird, so you better not get too close to her. In a while, Iâll call Ken to arrange the flight and send her back to St. Piaf.â
Madeline nodded silently. âI also think that sending her back is the best arrangement. Even if her friends were boycotting her, I donât think her parents would leave her to fend for herself.â
âWe donât need to worry about whether her parents would care for her or not. Linnie, she first came to the company to make trouble. She slandered your reputation and innocence, so she should bear the consequences now that the situation has escalated to this level after the clarification.â
âYeah, Jeremy, youâre right, â Madeline agreed. She then smiled in relief and took Jeremyâs hand.
âThen, Iâll do this according to your wish, honey.â
Jeremy was very satisfied with how Madeline addressed him.
He put his arm on Madelineâs shoulder and walked back. However, when they returned to Madelineâs office, they found that it was empty; Hannah had already left without their knowledge.
Madeline saw a note on the black coffee table, so she walked over and picked it up. It was a note left by Hannah.
âMr. Whitman, Mrs. Whitman, I have caused you a lot of trouble. Mr. Whitman, you are right. This is what I deserved, so I should bear the consequences myself. Sorry for the trouble.â
This was the content of the note left by Hannah.
âShe left by herself.â Madeline had a trace of concern in her heart. âShe should be fine, shouldnât she?â
âYou dummy, what you should worry about is me and the children. As for her, in my opinion, she doesnât deserve your concern at all, Linnie.â Jeremy still had a firm attitude toward Hannah.
Madeline could fully understand how Jeremy felt, and she figured that Jeremy was right, so she did not think about it again.
However, she kept feeling that this would not end so easily.
This weekend, Eloise and Sean both came to the old Whitman Manor for lunch.
Although it was winter, the afternoon sun was very warm.
The family sat by the grill and had a leisure barbecue.
Madeline and Jeremy had not been so relaxed for a long time. At this moment, Jeremy delivered the chicken wings he grilled to Madeline and he even carefully wiped her mouth with a napkin.
Their parents saw this, and they felt inevitably emotional.
Before, they never thought that there would be such a day.
Now, they did not know if affairs of life were unpredictable or this was destined.
In short, the parents were very pleased with this ending.
Jackson was also happy.
He happily took the SLR and took pictures of Jeremy and Madeline, recording the wonderful present moment.
As he was taking photos, however, a strange scene appeared in Jacksonâs lens.
At the same time, there was a commotion not far from the gate of the old Whitman Manor.
âMommy, look! â
Jackson pointed at the gate with his little finger.
Madeline and Jackson turned to take a look and then saw a few young men and women chasing a woman while scolding and hitting her.
After looking closely, Madeline saw that the woman being chased was Hannah.
âWhat is happening? Why are they fighting in front of our house? â Karen got up. When she was about to ask the servants to chase those people away, she saw that Madeline and Jeremy had already walked toward them.
âYou nasty woman, youâre so shameless ! How dare you slander my idol!â
âYou want to get famous desperately, donât you? Let us help you ! â
âHow vile. You can just make up any lies. This is your retribution! â
