Chapter 2011
Madeline Crawford and Jeremy Whitman
Hannah looked around the factory. She realized the employees were all focused on their work while Madeline was talking to the person in charge of the factory.
After they finished talking, Madeline would inspect the factory.
Hannah did not want to let Madeline inspect the manufacturing process of the perfume. When she saw Madeline changing her clothes before going into the factory, she figured she must carry through whatever happens. As such, she ran over directly to make a fuss.
âEveline! â
Madeline was in the process of changing into a coat to enter the factory when suddenly, she saw Hannah running into the room hurriedly, yelling out Madelineâs name.
Puzzled, Madeline looked at Hannah. âIs there an urgent matter? If itâs not urgent, I need to inspect the factory first.â
âOf course, itâs urgent since I came to you so hurriedly.â
Hannah said with an anxious look on her face. She then looked at the person in charge and the manager behind Madeline. Suddenly, the look in her eyes changed and her face became extremely aggrieved, weak, and helpless.
âMiss Montgomery, I mean, Ms. Montgomery, Iâve thought it through. I know that Iâm not qualified to fight you. I admit what happened between me and Mr. Whitman was just an accident.â
Hannah suddenly brought this up. It seemed that she was unintentionally exposing what happened to her and Jeremy.
Madelineâs gaze darkened as she felt the discomfort from the person in charge and the manager.
However, Hannah did not stop. She continued.
âMiss Montgomery, I gave up my work to come to Glendale for Mr. Whitman. I donât have anything left. I only hope that you can adequately provide for me while Iâm in Glendale. Iâm fine with just a shelter. I will properly learn from you too, so please donât chase me away. Iâll be happy to only be a servant in Whitman Manor too!â
Hannah spoke sincerely, tears glistening in her eyes.
When the person in charge and manager behind Madeline saw this scene, they coughed awkwardly.
âMs. Montgomery, weâll wait for you inside.â
Madeline knew they did not want to get involved in her private matters, so she smiled and nodded.
âAlright, go ahead.â
The two nodded and quickly began to walk into the factory.
Madeline and Hannah were the only ones remaining in the empty hall outside.
âWhat are you trying to do now?â Madeline asked with a slight smile, seemingly not infuriated or agitated by Hannahâs nonsense.
Hannah was impressed by Madelineâs mentality. How could she always be so unbothered and calm?
When Hannah saw the two leaving, her intention to raise hell decreased significantly.
She pressed her lips together nonchalantly. â Iâm not making a fuss. Iâm telling the truth.â
Hannah said as she sulked, and then she looked into Madelineâs eyes.
âEveline, I finally understand that youâve just been deceiving me this whole time. There is no joining the family. Youâve just been trying to calm me down for the time being so that I stop making a fuss and affect you and Mr. Whitmanâs reputation, havenât you?â
Hannah questioned Madeline with an unyielding attitude.
âEveline, on the surface, youâre soft and gentle but on the inside, youâre an extremely sinister two-
faced b*tch! â
Madeline calmly listened to Hannahâs offensive statement.
âTwoâfaced b*tch?â
Madeline was ineffably amused.
âMiss Bolton, I think youâre neither an idiot nor a buffoon. So, you should know very well whoâs the real two-faced b*tch.â
Hannahâs gaze darkened. âWhat do you mean by that, Eveline?â
