Chapter 21

His Rebel

Layla's POV

Like it was on cue, the main door opened and the footsteps of two individuals echoed in the room.

I turned around as I saw the rest of them looking at the people approaching us. As I positioned towards them I was met with two scary-looking guys.

They were intimidating but not more than the Three Devils of course. "Here they are," Leo spoke in between the silence which was now surrounding us. "Spencer and Francis."

The one who was introduced as Francis was fairly good-looking and seemed much more work-oriented than the Spencer guy who had this smirk on his face as he was looking over towards where Sinn was leaning at.

Sinn had a grim expression as he glanced towards him and the next moment rolled his eyes as if he's looking at trash which I might add, he acts like he is.

He brushed back his rough brown hair as he put his hands in the pockets of his brown leather jacket. He was okay looking but he doesn't pass the vibe check.

"These two will be helping us in our first mission as they're familiar with the place-"

"Very." Spencer interrupted Leo as he chewed his chewing gum and didn't stop staring at Sinn who didn't seem the tiniest bit interested in him. He was annoying Sinn but he shockingly wasn't even affected by it.

"Yes, so, as I was saying before you interrupted me very rudely, these two here will be helping us with the location by making it easier for us to carry out our mission and make it a success."

"Exactly that." Spencer once again interrupted and Leo was about to snap before Yuri came up.

"Konichiwa Spencer-san, I'm not that glad that you're here but we have to work as the mafia ordered. If you would please cooperate and keep your mouth shut I'll appreciate it otherwise I have other ways to make it shut up."

Yuri spat out keeping his tone sweet and smiling which only made it difficult to contain our laughter. I heard someone snort and when I peeked at who it was I was kinda surprised to find Francis covering his mouth trying not to laugh. I guess he feels just the way we do about this Spencer guy.

Yuri on the other hand managed to make Spencer keep his mouth shut from the little threat he gave him. I hope it works on him during the whole week we have to be out for this mission with him.

"Be mindful of one thing," Leo added. "This mission could take more than a week if we're not able to complete our goals."

"I don't wanna tolerate this guy for another minute and here he's telling us we may have to for over a week," Mattheo mumbled so just Luca and I could hear him. "I know man." Luca groaned.

Leo clapped his hands to gain our attention and we stopped talking among ourselves. My eyes met Sinn's briefly and he was already staring at me. I don't know why but I broke the stare and focused my attention now on Leo.

"We're leaving in 10. You guys are to be seated with your appointed team leaders. And you two," he glanced over at Spencer and Francis, "You both will be seated with Sinn." My eyes widened with shock by his last statement and Spencer smirked widely.

"I'd love to." Spencer's eyes met mine and I got this sinister vibe from him. He had this creepy aura to him and clearly, these three don't like him either. I don't know why we have to work with them there must be someone else who would know the location of the place where we're going well.

I turned my gaze away from him as I saw Leo, Yuri, and Sinn walking away to a room. We have a few minutes left till we leave so I make my way up to my room to check if I have left something behind or not. They said it might take us more than a week so I need to be extra prepared.

After I made sure for the millionth time that I'm not missing anything, I turned off the light and locked my room. I started walking towards the staircase when someone blocked my way.

"So I noticed you're the only girl on this team." Spencer stood in front of me blocking the stairs for me. He was leaning over the railing and it took everything in me not to push him from here.

"So?" I looked at him bored. He scoffed, looking down and I saw a part of his tattoo on his neck which was mostly covered by his leather jacket.

He looked up and met my gaze, "I'd be looking forward to your services." He grinned widely at me giving me the creeps cause I fully understood what he was implying. It wasn't the first time I had to deal with these awful remarks.

I crossed my arms as I tried to contain myself and not show actually how much creeped out I am by him. "The only services you all would be getting from me is my contribution to this mission. Other than that, don't expect anything else from me and find someone else for those."

He laughed and I gritted my teeth. "Ah, so you're the feisty type, I don't mind it. We'll see what services you'd provide." With saying that he checked me out extremely creepily making me want to push him any second but before I could do that, he descended the stairs.

I stood there pissed and disgusted by his stairs that to take out my anger I kicked the railing which, I kicked a bit too aggressively that it hurt me back.

I winced in pain, holding on to my foot as I bounced with one leg supporting me, and turned around to find the tall figure of Sinn staring at me in amusement.

I froze on my spot with my knee arched up cause I had my hands smooth out the aching pain in my foot. I stared back at him as he had his hands in the pockets of his suit pants.

"What took you so long, everyone's waiting." He said in his usual voice which had no emotions.

"I... I was just checking to make sure I had everything." I replied quickly as my head felt foggy seeing him this sudden and my foot aching.

He nodded at me and then started descending the stairs replying with, "Come on we're leaving." I followed behind him as we went down the stairs.  When we reached the end of the stairs, Sinn stopped and I stopped beside him as he turned around to face me.

"Listen to me carefully." He spoke, his voice sounding extremely serious that it made my heart beat a bit faster. I looked up at him as his eyes held me captive with his.

"Stay by my side at all times."
