I was up late last night thinking about you. I know that this whole dating in secret thing isn't really what you wanted, but I hope I can still show you how much I care about you. That being said...could I convince you to go on a date with me this weekend? We can go anywhere you'd like.

tesoro = darling, sweetheart, etc. (literal meaning is "treasure")

Dearest Robert (Don't think I didn't notice you using dearest. You might be sneaky, but you're not sneaky enough to get past me),

I require no convincing. Could I talk you into going back to the art museum with me? There's still so much to see.

P.S. Never apologize for being sweet to me. I find it much more enjoyable than trying to guess what you're thinking. And between you and me, I know nothing about this whole romance thing, either.
