Author's Note
Finally we are here, at the last chapter of Ta'beer. This story was completely unplanned for me and I struggled with it throughout but I guess it paid off in the end with the amount of love from you guys I received. So, before you start the chapter give my extremely talented friend's instagram page @aneesa.art a follow. Also I would like to thank @girlistotalsyapa for the beautiful covers she made for my books (made a different chapter for that). Sadly she has deleted her wattpad and instagram account. If you know her and know if she has made a new account please tag her. Thankyou! And Enjoy. â¤

"Badr."
Badiya said in a teary voice as she walked in their bedroom. Shehryar left the file he was reviewing sitting on the couch and immediately got up to hold her as he felt panic sinking in his bones.
"What happened? Are you okay? Is it the baby?" He rambled in worry making her sit on the couch carefully and kneeling before her.
"Wo...wo Wali...." She sniffed and tried to form coherent sentences but started crying again.
"What did he do now? Tell me, I'll beat his ass." Shehryar released a breath after realising it was one of their childish banters again and nothing serious but played along to satisfy his wife.
"He said that I am a whale." She burst out in tears again and Shehryar rubbed her back with one hand while the other hand rested on her eight month old bump.
"Baby, he's an idiot. Mai uski class leta hu. But stop crying, it's not good for the baby." Shehryar consoled her and her cries reduced to sniffs. She hummed as she looked at her bump but then started crying again.
"Array, Diya Jaan." Shehryar had just gotten up from his knees when his heavily pregnant wife started crying again and he dropped back to his knees.
"I am such a bad mother. I don't take care of my baby. I even ate the tub of ice cream when you told me not to."
Shehryar wanted to face-palm on this situation. It has become a norm for them. Badiya would start crying on even the most pointless things and then he had to console her. He had even started working from home in her third trimester as she always felt unsafe and insecure when he wasn't around. The accident had left a huge impact on their lives.
But even after all the tantrums, midnight cravings and constant-worrying, the thought that Badiya is carrying their first child made him feel like he was on the top of the world. All he wanted now was the safety and happiness of his little family.
"Esa bilkul nai hai. Achha, listen to me. Do you know I brought those double chocolate brownies you were craving?"
"What?! Really?" Badiya completely forgot about whatever reason she was sad for and tried to get up in excitement. Shehryar aided her in getting up and wrapped his arm around her waist. They both walked down the stairs and saw Sharmeen holding Wali's ears.
"Ow, mom. Ab tou meri shadi hone wali hai, ese tou na krain." (Ow, mom. Now I'm even getting married. Don't treat me like this.)
"Tumne phir meri beti ko tang kiya na. Kitni baar mana kiya hai maine." (You teased my daughter again, right? How many times I have told you not to annoy her.)
"Sorry, Baba. It's just so funny how she gets riled up so easily." He smiled sheepishly and Sharmeen twisted his ear again.
"Ouch, woman. Do you want me to have my nikkah without an ear. Hasifa will freak out."
"Pta nai meri bestfriend ko tumhare andr kiya achha lag gaya. Maine tou kitna smjhaya usse ke na kro esa." Badiya said while faking an exasperated expression as Wali rubbed his ear.
"Serves you right!" She stuck out her tongue and mocked Wali did the same.
"Yeh dono kabhi barray nai ho skte. Koi manay ek kuch dino mai ek bachay ki maa ban'ne wali hai or ek kuch dino mai dulha."(These two will never grow up. No one will believe one is going to be a mother soon and the other is going to get married soon.) Sharmeen said shaking her head and adjusted the cushions behind Badiya's back to make her comfortable. Then she asked a house help to bring a glass of milk for Badiya.
"There are some brownies in the fridge. Please microwave them and bring them along as well." Badiya called after the woman.
"Brownies. I want!" Wali yelled excitedly but Badiya rained on his parade and said, "Those are my brownies and I don't share with meanies."
"Diya baby, I was kidding only. You know na how much I love you and my niece." Wali tried to coax Badiya but recieved a glare in return from her husband.
"Oye. Apni baby ko baby bol. She's mine." (Hey, call your own girl baby.) Shehryar placed his arm on the backrest behind Badiya's head and Badiya snickered.
"Bhai! Diya has always been my Diya Baby! Right, Diya Baby?" He quickly went to sit on the other side of her and squished her chubby face.
"I am still not sharing ny brownies." She slapped his hand off and leaned back into Shehryar making him smirk triumphantly.
"Hayye, yahi din dekhna baqi tha. Ja raha hu mai is zalim samaj se door." (Oh heaven, only this day was left for me to see. I am going away, far from these cruel people.) Wali, being his dramatic self, acted like a melodramatic heroine and got up to leave.
"Hasifa should be in class right now. And you're anyways not allowed to meet her." Badiya called after him and he turned around to give her narrowed eyes.
"I was going to pick up the saree I ordered for you."
"Saree?"
"Yupp. I don't want people to look at my Mano. She's my future daughter-in-law and I am protecting her till my son is not here." Wali said pridefully.
"She's not wearing a saree."
"I am not marrying my daughter to your son."
Shehryar and Badiya stated at the same time.
"Yeah that as well. Now go before I hit you."
"You guys are no fun!"
~
"Diya, everything will be fine, right?"
Wali was pacing back and forth in his room as Badiya sat on his bed munching on chips in a black sequins saree draped around her properly to cover her bump. The black colour was hiding the size of her bump and she was completely fine with it as she didn't want to bring any attention to her bump as she wanted to protect her baby from evil eye.
"Everything's going to be great. You are going to be perfect." Badiya placed the packet on the side and stood up in front of him.
"You are the best person Hasifa could've had and you both are going to be so happy together." She said gently adjusting his shawl and patted his shoulder.

"Now, relax and enjoy your big day." She gave him a reassuring smile and he took a deep breath. His shoulders relaxed and the excited glint returned to his eyes.
"Aj tou dill wale dulhaniya le kr hi ayain ge."
Wali said with a wink and spread his arms in the iconic pose. Badiya laughed loudly and swatted his shoulder.
"Down boy. It's nikkah only. No rukhsati for you."
"Well, I technically get all the rights after nikkah so...."
"You shameless scoundrel!" Badiya laughed taking his arm and they both left the room as she had initially come to his room to take him downstairs as everyone was ready to leave.
"Hasifa!" Badiya entered the bridal room and went towards the beautiful bride adorning an exquisite white jora personally chosen by the groom himself.

"Mama, please tell her the groom's side is not supposed to be here with the bride."
Hasifa turned her face away from Badiya and said in taunting tone.
"Yaar ese tou nai kro na. I had to be there with him. Wali was so tensed and he's my buddy na." Badiya came towards her after greeting her mother with a hug.
Badiya had thrown a full-blown dholki yesterday for Hasifa, inviting all their friends over and had a blast. She even danced to her heart's content completely ignoring Shehryar's glares and then got reprimanded by him while he massaged her swollen feet.
"And who am I?" Hasifa turned towards her with narrowed eyes.
"You're my extremely sweet bestie who is looking out of this world beautiful." Badiya gave her a pout and wrapped her arms around the bride's shoulders.
"Okay, fine. I am only forgiving you for my Bahu's sake. How's my Mano doing?" Hasifa finally returned the hug carefully and then palmed Badiya's swollen belly cooing at it.
"Ya Allah! Ek tou tum dono na pehle apna beta paida kr lo phir meri beti pr qabza krna." (Oh God! First you both have a son and then come to stake claims on my daughter.) Badiya said in a teasing tone which oddly made Hasifa blush.
This was a joke going on in the family which was first started when Wali randomly mentioned it and Shehryar got super annoyed with it. After his tantrum, it became a thing for these two love birds and everyone else throughly enjoyed it.
"MaSha'Allah! You're glowing. Wali's love is doing wonders, no?" Badiya teased the already blushing bride bumping her shoulder and they both laughed.
Hasifa's mother came a few minutes later with a red veil in her hand followed by a few other ladies including Sharmeen and Badiya's mother. She spread it over her daughter's head and kissed her head before retreating as her father came in with the nikkah khawa (priest) along with her brothers.
Finally the time came and Hasifa said the 'do bol' of commitment making her love for Wali halal on her. Her hands trembled slightly as she signed on the nikkah papers and a few tears slipped from her eyes. Her father carressed her head lovingly and said a prayer for his only daughter and left with the priest.
Wali couldn't wait to voice his agreement and make the love of his life his wife. Everyone chukled at his eagerness but he didn't pay any mind to them as he anxiously looked at the priest.
He felt like a new man after he signed the papers. A better man. Just for his Hasifa. That doe eyed girl with a unique name. And all his now.
They had a private meeting, all thanks to Badiya, and Wali couldn't be happier about it. The evening passed in glee as everyone congratulated the newly wedded couple. Wali completely refused to leave his bride's hand which kept the said bride's cheeks warm throughout the night and Wali's eyes shining like the stars above.

"Badr."
Badiya whispered in trembling voice. Shehryar was calmly sleeping and the whisper didn't budge him at all.
"Badr!"
"H..han." Shehryar said while squinting his sleep filled eyes.
"The baby's coming."
"What?" That made him fully awake.
"What do you mean? There is still more than a week left in your due date."
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the baby decided to come fucking early." Badiya hissed in a sarcastic tone as a contraction hit her lower-back.
"Are you sure these are not Braxton's contraction?" Shehyar was already halfway through out of the bed as he turned the lights on. Badiya had been waking him up in the middle of night the past week due to feeling contractions but the hospital confirmed those were just Braxton's contractions or false contractions and it's normal to have them by the end of third trimester.
"Well, if there is anything like Braxton's water breaking then...."
"What?! Your water broke? Why didn't you tell me! Oh God!" Shehryar's eyes widened as he went into panic mode.
"Badr! Do something." Badiya's contractions were getting more painful and she couldn't get up even when she tried to.
"Okay, okay. We can do this. My phone, keys, the hospital bag, the baby bag and my wife." Shehryar started gathhering his things one by one as he stuffed his phone and keys into his pockets and the took out the bags and carried them out of the room along with his wife in his arms.
"Wali! Mama!" Shehryar yelled loudly and Wali emerged out of his room peeking over the banister. Shehryar and Badiya had shifted to a room on the ground floor as it was not healthy for Badiya to walk up and down the stairs so close to her delivery date.
"What happened?" Wali was on call with Hasifa when he heard his Bhai calling for him.
"The baby's coming. We have to go to the hospital."
"Oh shit. Babe, I'll talk to you later. Diya is in labour. Yeah, okay. Bye." Wali rushed downstairs and took the bags from Shehryar. They walked towards the car and drove to the hospital. The parents were informed over the phone and all of them rushed to the hospital as well in the middle of the night. Everyone was both excited and worried as they waited outside the labour room.
Ibrahim Faisal Shah was born after two hours of labour at 5:43 in the morning as the Fajr adhaan echoed through the air.
"Yaar, meri Mano tou Billa nikli." Wali said sheepishly as the slightly pink baby gurgled at him and everyone laughed.
"Now, I will make your daughter my son's bride." Badiya teased Wali wiggling her eyebrows at him. She had immediately went to sleep after meeting her baby and cuddling him and now she felt well-rested as everyone came in after having breakfast.
"Oye, khabardar tum ne meri beti pr nazar daali." (Hey, don't you dare try to woo my daughter.) Wali glared at the giggling baby in his arms as if he would understand him.
Shehryar took his son back from Wali and came to sit beside his wife, who was glowing with the noor of being a mother. Shehryar had thanked Badiya countless times now for the bundle of joy she had given him, but he still felt it wasn't enough. The air was filled with celebration as everyone expressed their happiness in any way they could.
Badiya said prayer to the heavens above, as she looked around the hospital room her eyes stilling on her husband who was cooing at their son and not letting Wali touch him, for her family to be always protected and remain away from the harms of the world and beyond.
The End
P.s. I won't be able to write a separate story for Wali or his daughter's with Ibrahim. When you guys ask persistently, it makes me feel bad and guilty. :( Please understand.
