"I'll answer your questions. Just not here." She stood up and gestured to Barry. "For now, I need your help getting him somewhere he can heal."

"A hospital?"

"Sort of..."

Singh POV

Ava led me to her car, a very nice black Audi with a weird bird-like logo on the side. (I'll never get over how SHIELD is supposed to be super secret and yet they put their logo on almost everything)

"Get in the Back with Barry," Ava said, climbing into the driver's seat.

She took off, and in no time at all we were at a small, old-town style bookshop. Ava helped me haul Barry inside.

"Why are we at a bookstore? We should be getting-"

Ava cut me off with an annoyed glare. Something told me she could kick my ass even with an injured leg.

"Lovely weather we're having," the librarian said.

Ava smiled, "Yes, but I always carry an umbrella." (So I borrowed that from Captain America. Sue me.)

The lady pressed a buzzer under her desk and opened up a wall behind her. We walked inside and I stared in awe. It was a very modern and tech-y facility, teeming with tough people.

"Ava!" a guy shouted, running up to us. He looked at me with a frown, "Who's this?"

"A friend." Ava said shortly. "Coulson, we need to get Barry to the medical wing."

The guy, Coulson, nodded. He switched spots with Ava, taking Barry's other side. "Go prep a room, we'll be there in five."

Walking through a secret base was simultaneously awesome and terrifying. Part of me was really sure someone was just gonna up and shoot me. Thankfully, no one did, so all I had to deal with was a tense walk to the med wing carrying my unconscious CSI secret agent.

After dropping Barry off, the Coulson dude and Ava took me outside.

"Will he be okay?" I asked.

Coulson nodded, "Barry's a fighter. He'll pull through."

I nodded.

"Now," he continued, "we need to figure out what to do with you. Ava says she trusts you and that you took down one of the Hydra super soldiers, so that counts for something. But you've also seen much more than you're supposed to, and that's a problem."

I just stood there anxiously like a child waiting for his punishment from his parents. I didn't like it.

"I think we should just make him an honorary agent or something," Ava said.

Coulson stared at me hard. "That'd work."

***** LINE BREAK *****

After a very long day of learning protocols, signing numerous papers, and having all the wackiness that is SHIELD be explained to me, I finally got to go home.

I laid on my couch and stared at the ceiling. What has my life come to?

I'm a police captain. I'm an honorary secret agent. My forensic assistant is more capable than my entire police force. There are evil super soldiers and mad scientists.

Ah well.

What's the worst that could happen?

A/N- as far as conclusions go... that one sucked more than most. Sorry. But I could honestly care less. I just needed to wrap it up so I could move on to another story. Again, sorry this sucked.

Hope y'all are having a good day/night!

Love y'all! :)
