I Only Got Shot
What Happens at the CCPD
Pre lighting. Imma be doing lots of pre lightning fics, so from now on just assume it's pre lighting unless I say otherwise. I'll try and put pre lighting or post lighting at the top of each one, but no promises.

Barry winced as he stood up from his hiding spot.
There had been a shoot out and Barry may or may not have gotten caught in the crossfire and gotten a bullet to the arm.
It wasn't a big deal though. At least not in Barry's eyes.
But he had a feeling that the rest of the police department might not feel the same way.
So he attempted to wrap the bullet wound and cover it up as best he could. He could take better care of it when he got home.
"Is everyone okay?" Singh called.
He got a chorus of yes from everyone, including Barry.
Joe walked over to Barry, "You good Bar?"
"Yeah I'm good." Barry said, smiling tightly.
Joe frowned at him but left it alone.
Fifteen minutes later, everyone was back at the precinct. Barry had started to feel progressively worse, but he still felt that it was no big deal that he was shot in the arm. People got shot a lot, this wasn't anything special. Granted it hurt like hell, but he'd never admit that.
The walk to his lab had never felt so long, and he collapsed in his chair the moment he was in.
Keeping a straight face when all he really wanted to do was pass out was hard. Barry tugged off his coat with a hiss and looked at his crudely wrapped arm.
Blood was soaking through and leaking down his arm and dripping off his elbow. Barry frowned and grabbed some paper towels to wipe it up. He then grabbed the first aid kit in his desk and re-wrapped his wound. A bit nicer this time though.
As he was pinning the fabric, he heard someone yell.
"What the hell Allen!"
Barry whipped around with a wince at the sound of his boss' voice. Singh marched over and started inspecting Barry's arm.
"Why the hell didn't you tell anyone you were shot!" Singh yelled.
Barry shrugged meekly, "It's not that big of a deal."
Singh huffed frustratedly, grabbed Barry's good arm, and marched him down the stairs.
He sat him next to Joe. "Watch him West," Singh ordered, "He got shot and didn't tell anyone."
Joe's eyebrows went up and there were several shouts from officers around who heard what Singh had said.
"What the hell kid!"
"Why didn't you say anything!"
"It's not a big deal..." Barry mumbled.
"Not a big deal!!"
"You idiot!"
"Not a big deal my ass!"
Barry was feeling worse by the second and he wished everyone would just shut up and stop making such a big deal about him getting shot.
Barry was getting lost amongst all the noise and shouts. He had a bazillion people swarming him. Then there were medical officers checking out his wound. The pretty brunette was giving Barry a strong scolding and the red head was lecturing him about proper treatment for wounds. And after that he found himself in a police cruiser being driven to the hospital.
Mother hens the lot of them, Barry thought as he was dragged into the hospital by Joe and Chyre.
***** LINE BREAK *****
Two days later, Barry was back at the precinct, arm in a sling.
As he walked in, officers kept walking up to him.
Some told him that they were happy he was okay.
Some said that he should take better care of himself.
Some simply scolded him.
All of them informed him that he was an idiot in some way, shape, or form.
Barry was practically supervised the entire day. Everyone kept telling him how he should've said something when he got shot. How it was risky and he shouldn't have done what he did.
"Honestly," Barry huffed, "I only got shot."
The precinct erupted into another round of chaos.
