How to Make a Sinner Sleep

Hello~ I am finally posting character descriptions (I'm so sorry) these are all the main casts! Hopefully it helps!

Arlo (Bellamy)

General:

A young boy who makes his first appearance in chapter 14, during the Fairy Festival. He seems naive and first glance, but has been noted to have an awareness to his surroundings, and a tenacious spirit after surviving in the slums, and at the hands of an abusive father.

Especially attached to Kaden, due to seeing the other as a sort of saviour that understands him. Also was bribed with food at their first meeting which may play a part. Gets teased by Niklas often, and therefore doesn't like him.

Has been previously concerned about being replaced with Your Majesty (Jest) but is now too busy acting silly around his long missed saviour.

A certain author has forgotten if they've mentioned his age, however, he is now officially 16, turning 17.

Appearance:

Youthful with soft cheeks, rounded and large amber eyes that naturally appear innocent when he speaks, but hardens into a firmer, colder look when he's decided to do something. Slightly curly golden hair that has now faded into a more brown/dark blonde colour. Very skinny, but Kaden is happy to announce that the boy has more flesh on his bones (he's being fed very well). Has just about reached Kaden's height.

Nicola Akasha

General:

A young woman who makes her first appearance in chapter 6, in which she encourages Kaden to attend the Fairy Festival. Sees Kaden for more than he believes he is worth, has a generally kind and approachable nature with a touch of mischief noted by those closer to her.

Pre-time skip, she was in her third-year in the Academy, and was 21. Now, she is 24. Slightly older than her peers because of an earlier birthday in the year. Appears to have a strained relationship with her fellow student president.

In the past, she was somebody who lived in the slums. Despite her mannerisms and behaviour presently, she also had a wild past. (Say, perhaps in a dangerous situation, she'll really show them what it looks like to be a survivor whose crawled their way up.)

These days, she spends most of her times listening to Holly's gossip, which are always told in an entertaining manner. Secretly, this president also likes listening to drama.

Appearance:

Straight and long brown hair that changes in hairstyles frequently, but always presented in a neat manner. Her typical hairstyle is an over-the-shoulder ponytail, but she likes all manners of ponytails. Cherry, pink-ish eyes (yes they're natural, this is fantasy) and upturned lips that gives the illusion she is constantly smiling. Has softer features that make her look gentle.

Holly Sinclair

General:

A wild young woman who is in her second-year of the Academy, close friends with Nicola. Makes her first appearance in chapter 17 after sharing an awkward conversation (that she'd insist was amusing, but Kaden would disagree). Naturally of a more extroverted character, likes to speak her mind and eavesdrop on conversations. If there's drama, she's there! If there's gossip, she knows it.

Despite this, she doesn't actually judge people based off the plethora of what she hears, preferring to come to her own conclusions. Is a little impulsive and always full of energy, surprisingly able to keep up with Niklas' randomness.

She hasn't spoken much to Noah, but secretly admires his face, and also knows all the gossip about him in the Academy. Not her fault, really, good-looking men who read are scarce.

Appearance:

Has a more athletic build due to her running around all the time, wildly climbing trees and seeking the best place to mess around or to listen to drama. She gets a lot of sun, and has tanned/sun-kissed skin.

She has freckles across her cheeks and nose, although there are a few everywhere due to her constant exposure to sunlight. Her hair is a golden and often frizzy, but she likes to tie them into two braids. However, her hair is slightly over her shoulders with wispy bangs that she cut herself, so she leaves it down sometimes. She has forest green, large eyes that are always full of curiosity and mischief.

Noah Bellamy

General:

Makes his first appearance in chapter 2 because he was impatient to meet a certain fool, of course. In the beginning, has a slightly negative opinion on Kaden, but due to the strong force of rumours and the fact that they were roommates, took the effort to know him a little better. His opinion, as you may see, very quickly changed.

He has a few annoyances still, like how Kaden forgets to eat, or can't sleep but insists on sleeping alone, and that he has a million secrets that he's unwilling to share, and also Kaden's low self esteem is of great irritation—

Ahem. Appears cold and indifferent, basically your stereotypical male lead (which I can't deny, I love and adore) but is more gentle-natured (this gentleness is more because he can't be bothered dealing with others, rather than simple kindness, and wouldn't harm anybody unless they harm him or his beloved first.

He's lived a lonely life despite having several siblings due to the nature of dragons, and often feels cold. He reads all day, every day, and if Kaden didn't exist, he would probably spend even more time isolating himself and reading.

Although he is confident in himself, and has a deep understanding and awareness, there are aspects of himself that he strongly dislikes. Has spent a large portion of his life being judged and admired for his blood. Doesn't trust people too easily, and often doesn't speak because he's too lazy to talk to fools.

With exception to a particular fool, of course.

Appearance:

On the taller side (superior genes, what can I say) and since he practiced self-defense and fighting at the Academy, has a relatively muscular build. His hands are stained with black that sort of creeps up his wrist. He has white hair with black tips, often messy and slightly hanging over his eyes, and pitch black eyes that to an observant viewer, can be seen as a shade of grey, reflected the sight in front. Wears a permanent frown, though he has smiled on a few occasions. Slightly on the tanner side.

It's not intentional that he's in a state of constant moodiness. He just exists that way. Hasn't been mentioned yet, but has his ears pierced due to a random encounter with humans in the past, though he doesn't wear earrings.

In his dragon form (by the end of the novel, this is the form he takes always because he is no longer able to pretend to appear human with the powers of Arcane Reverie) there is a hint of purple pulsing in his pupils and scales along his neck. A single horn twists atop his hair, and the other is merely a stump of what it once was.

His wings are black and sleek, touched with white that fades into the darkness of his scales. He likes to keep them tucked behind his back—although he's learned that they are particularly useful for caging a certain fool that likes to run away.

Kaden Alluin Chauvet

General:

Our dear fool has a penchant for irritating everybody with his self-sacrificing ways and low self-esteem. Has always pretended to be confident and crazy to mask his feelings of loneliness, hesitation, and fear. Many assume him to be mad, loyal to the crown, and without morals, although the opinions of those at the Academy have continued to sway.

Is very fond of food, all kinds as he hasn't had the opportunity to experience much, although his favourite food is currently macarons (a certain one-handed egg cracking demonstration has influenced this) but actually can't stomach eating overly sweet things.

Has many curiosities of the world, trapped within the slums and then within the castle. He doesn't remember his childhood well, save for a dead mother and a cruel father, although his memories continue to blur—trauma replaces trauma. There are memories he may perhaps never recover.

Appearance:

Has pale pink hair that is slightly overgrown (what can I say, he was in his edgy phase these past years) that is sometimes tied back, but often left loose. Sharp, cat-like emerald eyes that are on the lighter side, but have been perceived differently in different lightings. Dry lips (he licks them out of habit and is in desperate need of lip balm) and an exhausted disposition with dark shadows under his eyes.

Has pierced ears, self-inflicted to wear a pair of earrings that a particular person took interest in, and used to keep an odd smile on his face at all times, but has now allowed himself to fall into a neutral state—which is often a daze or blankness.

Niklas Rosa Astors

General:

A charming young man who made his first appearance in chapter 2 as a carriage driver for the Royal Family (he has long since resigned, or more accurately, was fired). Seen by all in a favourable light as he is quick to adjust to other's personalities and temperament, carrying a conversation with a light-hearted air that is neither too much or too little.

Although he is often smiling and laughing, when he is quiet, some have remarked that he appears aloof or mysterious. This image shatters the minute he makes eye contact, and his calm expression dissolves into cheekiness.

His stamina is below average, and among the Academy students, the absolute bottom. In fact, he isn't awful compared to the average person—but he has long been compared to the members of the Blessed. Despite this, what he lacks in fitness, he makes up in intelligence. He is good at utilizing what he has.

Appearance:

His hair is often messy (because he doesn't brush it, although Holly likes to point it out) and is curly, light brown. His eyes are a bright cerulean that are often laced with mischief and joy, carrying a natural charm that makes others comfortable. The shape is more rounded and softer, giving a familiar atmosphere.

He has really good skin and is very moisturized (because he knows that one of his key skills is in socializing, he maintains his appearance well, with the exception for his hair)

——xxx——

Lux (he would rather not have his last name remembered)

General:

A neighbouring prince that makes his first appearance in chapter 9, initially creeping Kaden out. He approaches life leisurely, appearing to be lazy and indifferent about most things without caring for the opinions of others. He's a very secure and proud individual who maintains his morals but not sacrifice ambition. Despites nobility and liars, although he can admit to being a hypocrite in that sense.

One of his largest regrets was not doing more for one of his younger siblings—the cutest one, in his opinion, compared to the other power-hungry children—and has lived many of his years searching for that child, burdened by guilt.

When he ran away, he thought it wouldn't be too bad to find his little brother who he believed wasn't dead, and to live quietly somewhere to experience a true family.

It was a shame that the family his little brother wanted wasn't him.

Appearance:

Sharp and slender cat-like ruby eyes that are reminiscent of a snake, making some people uncomfortable. Crimson red hair (a darker shade) that is straight and short (he finds hair tedious to maintain and hates to appear elegant or noble) and an angular face. His canines are surprisingly sharp. Dresses casually/informally, and in his neutral expression, one corner of his lips seem to curl as if constantly amused.

——xxx——

Reed Chauvet

General:

The magnanimous and well-respected 'perfect' crown prince that makes his appearance from the very beginning. He displays bitterness and irritation towards Kaden from the beginning—as if he cannot help but lash out at the other. Has been constantly plagued by headaches, and although gets plenty of sleep, wakes every hour.

He is self-sufficient, ruthless and has little attachment to most people, although he seeks recognition and acceptance. However, once, the throne was the thing he wanted most. There wasn't a person in the kingdom who doubted he would attain it—confident, charming and a perfect symbol.

Later, it was a sacrifice he would be willing to make.

Appearance:

Think of an ice princess—long and dense blonde eyelashes that frame a pair of chillingly cold blue eyes (very pale blue) and platinum blonde hair that is very slightly wavy and carefully styled to appear elegant and formal. There is an elusiveness to him that makes it hard to draw near, although he maintains a composed smile that feels distant. All the angles of his face are very sharp.

——xxx——

Skye Chauvet

General:

Appears first in chapter 10. Likes to sleep and pretend to act childish, earning the adoring affection of many. He doesn't like flowers that much because they're fragile and useless, but he has taken to a hobby of maintaining them because a certain person likes to look at them. His current favourite flower is nicknamed 'Phoenix'.

There is not much to be said about him, as much of his personality is a facade in desperate search of affection. He is sensitive to the thoughts and intentions of others and therefore dislikes physical touch as it feels unpleasant.

Many know that although he appears lovable and sweet, he is a genius who is intelligent beyond his years—although he does not use this intelligence, once one makes an enemy of him, they are easily destined for ruin.

Appearance:

A youthful, innocent, and young appearance with a bed of curly platinum blonde hair that messily sits on his head. Bears similarities to Reed, although his features are softer, and his eyes are deeper and brighter, reminiscent of the skies above. His eyes are slightly droopy, like a pitiful puppy, and he wears slightly loose clothes.

There is no limit to what extent he would go to appear young and childlike to gain the attention of the one family he desired.
