Chapter 19

LUKE POV

Today is the day he was supposed to be the groom.

My bestfriend was supposed to be the groom.

This was his day.

But now its just one date in the calender.

days passed yet nothing , no news.

I haven't spoken anything except just yes and no with Ian and I ignored Dan's existence. Even though we stay at our house I stay in guest room that for 2 weeks was Nick's room.

Ian and Dan stay at our room even when we don't talk then also Dan comes kiss me whenever he wake up or about to sleep or go out its just I miss him but I am hurt.

When I get nightmares sometimes , they both come and hug me till I sleep.

"Hey baby." Dan pecked my lips and left the room.

He did apologize for his behavior and I told him I forgive him.

After that I turned Mute on them.

When Dad and Papa comes I just stay mute too.

The only person I talk to is Pete just to get Nick's info.

No ones ready to mourn him , why to ? He is alive right?

I haven't seen Finn , Justin and Simon since that day.

Ian was at Dad's place and Dan just came from work so for the first time in weeks I entered my room and Dan was changing I went and hugged him from back.

I tightened my grip and tears fell. He tightened his grip on my arms. We stayed like that and no one said anything.

After awhile I moved back but he held me and pulled me on his chest and held me tight. And kissed my head.

"I am so sorry love."

"Its ok I love you Danny."

"I love you Luky." Thats what he said before jumping off of cliff.

I sobbed and he tightened his grip.

"I need my bestfriend."

"We all do we miss him and the search team is searching for him."

"You don't get it Dan , I saw him when he jumped I saw him break I hate it I just need him back."

We silently hugged each other. Dad called us home and we left. Nothing feels the same , that home which was full of light now its dull empty.

Dad and Papa hugged me and I walked and sat on chair far from everyone. Finn and Justin sat and Finn had tears falling and Simon looked dead to be honest but I wont forgive him He didn't trust my bestfriend.

Everyone was here except Adam I guess he left that piece of shit.

"I spoke to Pete and he has no news and everything leads us to one thing that my Son is no more." I looked at Dad. I chuckled loud everyone looked at me.

"What? you all wanna sit and mourn? So go ahead but I am not gonna sit and do nothing. I will go find my bestfriend even if it takes everything from me." I stood.

"You think only you're affected by this news? You think he only mattered to you? he was my twin for fuck sake. I am as hurt as you."

"So why did you treat him like shit? Why? Why did I have to see the same looks I saw back then when I met him for the first time? Why didn't you all trust him this time? Why didn't you trust him?"

"I didn't know it would break him to this point ok I didn't know. We fucked up I know so don't remind me."

"I will fucking remind you because I saw him the last time. He was broken and hurt and none of you called him once. Dad he was broken because you didn't stop him when he walked out." Dad bit his lip to not sob loud.

"I was pissed because I thought he did cheat on Simon." Said Finn.

"BUT HE DIDN'T." I yelled. "All he wanted for you guys to listen to him thats all he asked for and what he gets in return? A fucking silent treatment and up of that He receives his ring back." I looked into Simon's eyes he sobbed.

"I am not giving up on my bestfriend." I walked out and while getting in car I heard my name I turned.

"C-can I-I get m-my r-ring back?" He sniffed I nodded my head.

"The ring and his phone are in bed's drawer." He wiped his nose and nodded his head.

"And Simon."

"Hmm?"

"I don't forgive you but take care of your self because I will get my bestfriend back some day." With that I left.

After leaving I went to police station and I did some checking and I got to know there was a town the down site of the cliff which is called DownHill.

I thought of driving but its far so I went back home.

"What you mean by your leaving?"

"Ian baby I am going to Downhill for awhile I want to check for Nick."

"But if Nick was there he would come back right?" He looked at Dan.

"Ian's right and maybe Nick's not there how long are you planning to stay?"

"As long as I find Nick."

"He's de-"

"IAN DON'T." HE flinched I closed my eyes. I walked to him and hugged him and Dan hugged us both and kissed our head.

"I also miss him you know but We can't lose you." Ian whispered.

"I know baby and who says you are losing me I will go get him and come back." I pecked their lips separately.

"What if it takes longer than excepted ?" Dan questions.

"Then I have one question to both of you."

"What?"

"Will you both wait for me?"

"Yes." Without wasting a second both of them said.

"Then thats all. But before leaving I want us to make love."

The next day I was leaving but they both started crying and making me emotional too.

"I'll come visit." With that I left.

It took longer than expected I reached I thought Downhill is small town but its a big beautiful town.

I rented a room after resting I went to river side I did check with everyone who lives nearby if they have seen any body or anything like that but there was nothing.

A day passed...

A week passed...

A month passed...

And eventually

A year passed...

Yet Nothing.

In that year I did visit Ian and Dan and sometimes they both come visit I miss them a lot but am grateful to have them by my side.

Do I give up?

I don't want to but God please do anything give me a hint...

"Ya Ian baby I'll be back tomorrow ok I know I haven't kept my promise last month but I'll this time. And I love you and Danny just remember th-" I was cut by a knock at my door.

"Hey baby there is a Knock I'll call later say hi to Danny when he is back bye."

Who is it at this late. I opened the door.

"Yes?"

"My name is Ryan and I have heard that ever since you lived here you have been asking about a boy is it?"

"Yes yes do you know anything about it?"

"Well come with me." After going with Ryan who was a man around 30 years old he drove us to different town. After an hour we reached to a cottage and we got in.

"Who lives here?"

"My grandparents." He took me to a room where I felt relief.

"N-nick?" I ran towards the bed there was Nick our Nick my bestfriend. I couldn't control my tears and I sobbed laying my head on his chest.

"You asshole why would you do that to us? I missed you buddy. I knew I would find you some day." My voice cracked.

"His been in this state ever since my grand father found him." I wiped my tears and turned to look at Ryan who offered me a cup of coffee.

I kissed Nick's forehead and left the room with Ryan and we went to the living room where his grandparents were sitting.

"How did you find him?"

"A year ago I went to Downhill's river there is a place nearby where I always go to purchase fish and while passing it I found a body I went to see and found that the boy is breathing so I somehow managed to take him my place but I didn't know what to do so my wife and I thought its better to bring him to our cottage and look after him and My wife have been looking after him since then."

"A month or two ago my grandfather called me and asked me to visit them I came from Canada and when I knew about the boy I asked them why didn't they call the police they said they didn't want to be involved with police and they thought maybe the boy will get up but he didn't. And I went back at downhill and I knew about a stranger guy asking about a body so thats how I found you.

I myself is a doctor and when I did some check up well due to force fall into the water it kind of hit his head and damaged its lungs so he fall into coma where I suggest you to take him to hospital and if you want we can go back to Canada and I can look after him."

If I have to fly to Canada for my bestfriend to come back so be it.

"Ok." Thats all I said for Ryan to make some calls.

"But can we leave tomorrow please? I need to go back home." And after a while I drove back home I was happy and waiting to tell them the news as I reached the next afternoon and got in I heard voices. Let me tell you there were happy voices and I thought if I said anything now and if god forbid Nick doesn't make it then they will find it hard to live with themself.

In one year a lot changed even when their happiness doesn't reach their eyes but atleast they are happy.

I haven't seen anyone in a year other than Ian and Danny.

Everyone looks happy. They haven't noticed me so I walked out once again.

I messaged in group where its Ian , Danny and I.

I drove back to my place and god its exactly the same as if I never left. In few minutes I was crushed between two bodies I pulled out and kissed my boys.

"I missed the two of you God I love you both so much."

"we love you too baby. And missed you too much." Ian's voice was filled with pain aww my baby.

"The house and our life seems empty without you babe." Dan pecked my lips.

"Are you back for good?" There was hope in Ian's voice.

"I have something to tell you guys."

"Can't it wait till later I wanna cuddle." Ian pouted and how can I say no?

"Sure babyboo." I picked him up he wrapped his legs around my waist and arms around my neck. And Dan kissed our temple as the three of us walked in our room and we cuddle with me in between being sandwiched an hour late I cleared my throat.

"Babies we need to talk." They moved back and we all sat.

"What is it?" Dan whispered.

"I have a good news and two bad news so what do you want first?"

"Good." Both said.

"Ok so I did it. I found Nick and his alive."

"Wait what?" Ian yelled. And Dan's mouth was a big O until he registered what I said.

"Thats amazing baby where is he? Lets go and tell Uncle Felix and Uncle Nate they will be so happy." I shook my head.

"Wait Dan there is a but isn't it Luke?" I nodded my head.

"So the but is the bad news." I nodded again. We stayed quiet for a while until both of them held my each hand that was a reassurance that no matter what I have them By my side.

"I found Nick but he's been in coma for a year and the people who took care of him their grandson is a doctor and he suggested to take Nick to Canada where he works and he will be taking care of Nick and I agreed and we leaving tomorrow." I was scared to look up.

"Do you want us to come with you?" I looked at Ian and I didn't expect that reaction at all.

"And your both's work?"

"Well we need a throuple's vacation don't we?" Dan winked. I grinned like idiots and nodded my head.

"I love you Ian I love you Dan." And hugged them both.

"But lets not let anyone know about Nick yet I don't know when he will wake up so let it be just us who knows."

With that we did make love and also packed and we booked tickets I got in touch with Ryan since I took his number and everything is going good and they told their parents that they are taking me for vacation so I can take time off of searching for Nick.

And with that we flew to Canada the next day.
