Chriping sound of birds, disturbed her sleep. Harika opened her eyes with a grin. She loved the melodious songs the birds sang. She stood near the window and gazed the beautiful garden with a smile.She heard the door knock and opened the door. "Good morning" Harish stood there with a cup of coffee. "I saw you standing near the window, so I brought you your coffee" he said with a smile."Thank you" she smiled and took the coffee cup from him. "Ok! You freshen up and come down, let's have breakfast" he said before leaving the place.Harika felt surprised to see a guy like him. She thought he might be ambitious as he is the CEO of a very big organization but his actions never resembled his position. She smiled sipping the coffee. She felt he was the first one she is admiring the most in her life.She thought to wash off those thoughts, so she headed to the washroom to take a good hot shower. After half an hour, she headed downstairs and found him setting the table for breakfast. She felt bad for making him suffer. "Harish! You could have called me for help right? Why are you struggling alone?" She asked with concern."Hey! There is no struggle in this. Actually I love doing this works. In my past I used to do all these works" he replied proudly."Really! But it's quite annoying? How could your parents let you do all those works? Have you stayed in any flat with your friends?" She asked with surprise, "I'll tell you everything but before that let's have breakfast. It's getting cold" he replied with grin, she too smiled and sat near him to have her breakfast.He served her the food, she had that enjoying it's delicious taste. "It's delicious!" She complemented from her heart. "Thanks!" He replied and both went for a walk after their breakfast."Ok tell me! How you learnt all these stuffs?" She asked eagerly. "I used to take care of my mom. So I will cook for her" he replied, Harika couldn't understand that and she looked him with same confused expression."My mom is a paralysis patient" he uttered making her shock. He briefed whatever happened and Harika listened that patently. She felt pitty as well as surprised to see a person like him. She thought he must be very patient in his life and that brought a smile on her face. Her respect for him increased a hundred times after hearing his true nature."Shall we go somewhere inside this forest?" Harika asked eagerly. "Do you really want to go?" He asked doubtfully. "Yeah! It's boring to stay inside the room everytime. Shall we?" She asked with a hope, he nodded with a smile not disappointing her.He took her inside the forest. She was thrilled seeing the beautiful scenery. Birds song and sunlight sing to the soul, all as the rich canopy creates a calming kaleidoscope upon the ground.She heard different sounds and found the leaves of the huge trees were slowly rustling which resembled a family of oak trees chatting together. She was amused! She never explored such a beautiful beautiful place in her lifetime. As she walks along everything goes silent. Suddenly there was a strange sound from the ground. Harika searched for the source of the sound and found a small rabbit struggling for its survival. Harika rushed near the rabbit. "Hey Harika! No! See there is a huge snake" Harish stopped her holding her hand."No Harish! I have to save that small creature. Look at the cutest face, how can we stay calm letting the snake kill that small bunny" her voice choked and at the same time the snake approached the rabbit.Harika ran towards the rabbit and held it in her arms before the snake harms it. But next moment she lost her balance and slipped down. She hugged the bunny not letting it get harm but her arms got injured.Everything happened within a fraction of second as Harish was dumbstruck. He reached Harika and helped her to get up. She struggled to move her arms. He held her by shoulder and took her to his house.He gave first aid as per Harika's instructions. Her right arm was sprained. But she managed to treat the rabbit with her left hand."Harika! Why did you risked your life?" He asked sadly. "How can I simply watch the snake killing this innocent rabbit? Look at the innocence in its eyes. He is very small rabbit, I think it's only two or three weeks old. That big snake is a coward to kill this small creature" she replied with great concern, caressing the rabbit's fur."Hey! This is forest and one animal is dependent on another. It's nature, we can't save every animals right?" He said."Ooh! Ok tell me one thing, why did you save me that day. You could have left me as such thinking that it's my fate right? But why did you saved me and taking care of me all these days?" She asked looking straight into his eyes."How can I leave you as such when I saw you in danger? This is humanity! Every person have this basic quality!" He replied."This is humanity too. I couldn't helped that creature if I didn't see that but I saw it's life in danger and the basic quality in me urged to save that small innocent creature" she explained her point of view making him mesmerized."Being kind is pretty self-explanatory, but there are a variety of ways that you can express it. Whether it is opening a door for someone or delivering a bouquet of flowers, saving a starving people or buying a chocolate for the kid. It is one of the greatest attributes that someone can have. And Harika is very kind from bottom of her heart that she cared for the animal more than her life. It's very hard to find someone like her in this society where people are not willing to help even the dying person" he thought.First time in his life, he met someone with such a kind nature. He smiled and felt that she is something special and unique.Harika made a small home for the rabbit. Harish helped her in building that and they placed the rabbit inside the small wooden home. "Let it be here for sometime! It's limbs were injured" Harika requested him and he accepted that gladly.She never cared about her life while she saved the rabbit, that quality impressed him the most.He helped her to have her food since she sprained her right arm. She struggled to have it using her left hand but that didn't happened, so Harish fed her with his hand, which melted her heart.She talked with him happily without any restrictions and she started to like him for his nature. Next three days, he took great care of her and he took care of that rabbit too. The rabbit started to play with them and it got used to stay in the wooden house.Harika got cured completely and she requested him to allow her to cook breakfast. He accepted."But Harish! I don't know anything about kitchen. You guide me! I'll cook! Deal?" She asked raising her thumbs which made him smile."Deal!" He accepted and guided her to cook the food. She struggled a lot to remember all the name of the ingredients but she managed and finally succeeded. She cooked for the first time and that made her smile more and her heart was loaded with happiness.Except her studies there was nothing in her life but now she felt that life is something different which she failed to notice so far. This life seems more beautiful than her routine. She hardly smiles and intract with people but now she feels like she is the most talkative girl in this entire universe and everytime she carried a beautiful smile on her face.She served the food and he had that with amusement. "Harika! I loved the food" he complemented happily making her blush. She felt weird while she felt she was blushing. She doesn't have any idea what's happening in her life and nowadays her mind never minds her order and started to function what her she is feeling from her heart. She found the definition of happiness in those seven days.She don't know how the days went so fast and a unknown fear occupied her heart when she thought of leaving that place. She forgot everything else, her world surrounded in the small house.When she was in the deep thought, something caught her attention. She saw Harish playing with Dusky, they named the rabbit Dusky. Harish chose that name by admiring it's beautiful brown eyes.He handled the rabbit very carefully and it started to play with him without any fear. Her face glowed with a bright smile and for the first time her heart skipped it's best while thinking about a guy. His deep brown eyes turned her crazy.
