Harini was nervous. I could feel that. She looked around quickly to find someone who could help her. I just stood there admiring her innocence."Hey junior! What's up?" One of the boys from the gang started. Now I could feel her hands shaking, "she is a baby" I thought. "Hello! I'm talking with you but you're standing like you doesn't belong to this world. Are you insane or dump?" He laughed and this time I saw her tears. That hurt me the most, I realised that I could never see her in tears.I rushed near her immediately. "Harini! What are you doing here? I was searching you everywhere!" I said casually making her surprised. She looked at me with a wide-open black beady, "I never seen such a beautiful eyes in my lifetime!" We both stood alike. "Hey Karthik! Do you know her?" One from the gang asked me bringing me back to the concious. "Yes bro! She is my junior and we are family friends. I was searching her to guide her about our college and hostel, her mom already requested me to take care of her" I said casually making her more astonished."Oh! Okay then, you both can leave" they said and I took her with me to her classroom."Thanks!" Her silvery sweet voice fascinated me. As I looked into her eyes I knew, all the beauty of the universe could not even hope to compete with her lovely eyes."No worries! But this is very common in college life, try to face all these. You seemed so tensed" I counselled her to make her strong."Yeah! I'm trying to. Anyways thank you so much for your help" she replied formally and left the place which disappointed me but at the same time I'm so happy that I got some chance to talk with her.After that, I noticed her several times but everytime I found her alone sitting in the library or stadium. My heart repeatedly asked why she is looking so serious everytime? She has such a beautiful smile but she is not willing to bring that sweet smile on her face.It's more than a week, I'm noticing her everyday but she seems so silent and she never shown any interest to mingle with others.Her beautiful face was masked with a dejected expression. I really want to remove that sadness from her face permanently. But sadly, I didn't get any other chance to interact with her again.Next day, I saw her near the big tree which was in the backyard of our college. Usually people will not prefer that place but she is sat there alone thinking about something very deep.Her emotions were not easily hidden on her innocent face. Her pain was evident in the crease of her lovely brow and the down-curve of her full lips. But her eyes, her eyes showed her soul. They were a deep pool of restless gold, an ocean of hopeless grief.This time, something in me pushed me to initiate a conversation with her."Hi Harini!" She turned hearing my voice but my smile vanished seeing her teary eyes. "Any problem?" I asked because I don't want to see her in tears."None of your business!" She replied sternly but that didn't hurt me than her tears. "Harini! I'm seeing you for a long time. This place is not safe! And it's getting dark. Better you go home" I said and this time she wiped her face and looked at me with a frown."Who are you? I already said it's none of your business. Then why are you trying to impress me. Keep this in your mind. Your tactics won't work with me" she uttered looking straight into my face."I.." I strated but she cut off my words, "I don't want your lecture. Please leave me alone" she said and I couldn't stand there anymore so I left that place but my thoughts were revolving around her.I tried to know about her family but strangely no one knows about that and everyone said that she never talked with them.I was totally confused, it's true she is a mystical astonishment. Entire day I was worried about her.Next day, I saw her in the college bus stop. I thought, I should atleast find her house. So I followed her without her notice, yes I'm stalking but I don't have any other way.I followed her and finally found her home successfully which made my day. At last I found her home!!!Everyday, I noticed her but the strange thing is, I never seen someone else staying in that house. Several questions poped-up in my mind, I was really interested to know everything about her but I don't know how could I gain her trust and friendship!!I was waiting for a opportunity to interact with her and by God's grace, I got that in the very next week."Somebody could help?" Her voice was shaking. I walked towards her and found her carrying a small boy in her lap, he was injured and they couldn't find any vehicle to take him to the hospital.I went near her and took them to the hospital. She looked very tensed. "He will be fine" I said but her face resembled the same sadness."The boy is fine now!" Doctor said bringing a satisfied smile on her face. "Thank you so much doctor" she thanked him heartily. "You're the one who saved his life. You admitted him at the correct time so we saved his life" he replied and left the place. Just then she remembered my presence.She turned towards me and smiled wholeheartedly making me stunned.She smiled taking my breath away!!!"Thank you so much" she thanked me with the same smile. "No worries Harini!" I replied and a middle aged lady reached the place nervously."Aunty! Sidhu is fine now. You don't want to worry. Just now, I met the doctor" she talked with the lady which made me understood that the lady was the boy's mother.She thanked her holding her arms. Harini hugged her to console her. When they allowed visiters inside, his mom entered the room."How did that happened?" I asked her hoping she will reply. "He was playing in the platform. A stupid, hit him mercilessly and escaped from the place before being caught.I know this child. He was staying opposite to my house with his mom. They both don't have anyone else in their life. She is working hard to take care of him" she replied sadly which melted my heart."They both couldn't live without eachother. I should thank you for helping me in the right time" she said but all her activities made me fall for her again and again.She is truly a miracle!!!!"You are the one who helped him Harini. You're very kind from heart" I replied from my heart, which she heard with the same cute smile.Will this incident make me one step closer to her!!!"What about college?" She asked suddenly which brought a smile, "no issues! What about you? Are you attending your classes today?" I asked."I don't feel to!" She replied which surprised me, "Then if you don't mind shall we go out for a walk? Just for a relaxation" I asked with hesitation, praying that she shouldn't take it wrong.But to my great surprise, she nodded her head and accepted. I really couldn't believe whatever happening around me.Am I daydreaming!!!"Karthik!" Did she just pronounced my name, I thought and she cleared my confusion by calling me again."Let's go!" She said with a smile which created a whirlpool of happiness inside me.We visited the nearby garden and that atmosphere was very pleasant. The blue sky was dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted lazily in the gentle breeze, which caressed her face making her wavy hair dance for its rythm. She talked about few random stuffs but nothing went into my head. I was sitting there just admiring her beautiful face.Alluringly, she blinked her eyes from time to time, allowing her eyelashes to flutter like the wings of a butterfly. The blissful expression her face carried made me dumbstruck.My god, her eyes were simply spellbinding!!Her delicate ears were pierced by golden hoops that were concealed by her coal black blonde wavey hair which was continuously disturbing her face. She parted it using her right arm which seems more beautiful."Where were you lost?" She asked waving her hand infront of my eyes. "Lost in your soulful eyes" I uttered what I was thinking. She narrowed her eyes but I smiled and diverted her by showing the bird which was sitting in the nearby branch."Kindness comes from deep within the soul, as a sort of internal sunshine. Yet as with the weather patterns in nature, our emotions can ebb and flow. There are days we don't feel as kind as we do on others. And this is our very human challenge, to remain kind when every ounce of us pulls in the opposite direction.
