Yana waved her hand. “No, just waiting for someone here.”

“Zara Henson, a lawyer from Navair Law Firm. You know her, right? She’s coming to LeapCo for some business today, and I’m here to welcome her.”

Melanie’s attention focused on this name.

Navair Law Firm was one of the top law firms in Jepton that had been collaborating with LeapCo’s headquarters for a long time. Zara was also well–known.

She was a highly popular female lawyer a few years ago. It was said that her most remarkable achievement was appearing in court 18 times in a month and not losing a single case.

Melanie’s heart skipped a beat. She looked up and met Xander’s eyes. She could sense him thinking

the same.

Melanie asked Yana, “When will she be arriving?”

“Should be soo-“Yana said midway when two figures entered through the door.

They were two women. The one in front was in her 40s, had neatly cropped hair, and was wearing a black professional suit while sporting gold–framed glasses on her nose. She looked very capable.

Melanie immediately recognized her as Zara.

She had not met Zara in person before. She had only heard about her from Carlisle.

Yana went up to greet them respectfully, “Miss Henson.”

Zara gave a brief reply and followed Yana.

Then, another crisp voice sounded behind her. Melanie turned around to see the young woman who had followed Zara. She was smiling at her. “Excuse me, may I pass?”

Melanie then realized that she was blocking the way and stepped aside.

The young woman gave her a lovely smile and walked toward Zara.

Melanie noticed her work badge, which read–‘Seraphine Odair, Intern Lawyer‘.

Melanie had planned to visit some law firms after finishing her tasks at LeapCo today. Yvonne and Xander were already so worried about her. She could not just rely on others for everything. However, now that she had encountered Zara, she had to change her plans a bit.

Melanie decided to wait for Zara to come out and see if there was any hope of meeting her. It was not that she did not know that she had to make an appointment to see Zara, but Melanie had just checked the appointment schedule for Navair Law Firm on her phone.

She found that Zara’s schedule for the next month was quite full.

Melanie nodded slightly and then walked up to Zara. “Hello, Miss Henson. May I have a moment of your time, please?” she asked earnestly.

Not one to mince words, Zara glanced at her watch and said, “You have five minutes.”

Relief washed over Melanie. She had been worried that Zara would not even give her a chance to speak.

Fixing her emotions, she looked at Zara and nodded slightly. She humbly said, “I’d like to ask you to represent me in a lawsuit.”

“Many people come to me for legal representation. You can make an appointment at Navair Law Firm,” the woman replied.

With that, she turned to leave. Melanie could not afford to waste any time and hurriedly followed

after her. “Miss Henson, I apologize for disturbing you, but I really have no other options. The other party’s lawyer is Luther Laing. Could you please give me a little more time?”

Melanie followed Zara out of LeapCo’s gates. As soon as they stepped outside, the cold, biting wind blew against her face. It made her complexion appear even paler.

“Luther Laing?” Zara mused, looking at Melanie thoughtfully.

After a moment’s contemplation, she gestured toward a nearby café. “Let’s talk there.”
