Chapter 507
The Unfaithful Mr. Scott ( Melanie Smith )
Chapter 507
Viola was in despair. Even if she was a fool, she knew what was going on. âSo, you approached me just to get LeapCoâs document?â
Mason said, âNo. You are cute, and I do like
you.
âItâs just that I heard Eugene cares a lot about this document and wonât let anyone touch it. He even asked Melanie to deliver it to him last time. So, Iâm just curious what kind of document it isâ¦â
Pausing, he glanced at Viola before adding with a look that seemed to pity her. âItâs so
important that heâs even guarding it against you, his girlfriend. Yet, he handed it to Melanie to handle.
âViola, arenât you curious?â
Masonâs words were like a curse lingering in Violaâs mind. She naturally knew about Melanie sending Eugene the document.
However, she never knew the document was so important!
Eugene had never thought of even telling her about such an important document.
Viola pondered.
She wanted to see what Melanie could see but she could not.
Melanie received a call from Henry when she was heading to the detention center.
The staff there had called her to say that George wanted to have a word with her.
Melanie answered the call, and Henryâs firm voice came through it. âMelanie, the photo is already printed. When are you free to take it?â
She said, âIâm a little busy now. Maybe some other day.â
Henry was disappointed but soon said, âItâs okay. Carry on with your work. Iâll send someone to bring it to you.â
Melanie thought Henry would arrange for Landon to send it, so she agreed.
She arrived at the detention center after hanging up the call.
George was not as smug as before and looked a little haggard when Melanie saw him this time.
Before Melanie could even sit, he said, âWhen that bitch was talking to your mother, I happened to be in the toilet. I wanted to record it and blackmail her, but you can have it now.â
Melanie lifted her eyebrow, surprised by Georgeâs change.
Stephen told her Georgeâs relative visited him two days ago.
Something must have changed his mind.
Noticing Melanie was not responding, George looked irritated as he shoved his hand through his messy and dirty hair. He said, âGive me ten grand and Iâll tell you where the thing is.â

Melanie looked at George in surprise. She was indeed shocked. After all, ten grand was the smallest amount he had requested.
At first, Melanie thought he would ask for more.
She tapped the table and asked, âWhy?â
A complicated expression appeared on Georgeâs face.
Even when she walked out of the detention center, Melanie still had a mocking look on her
face.
She wondered what Dylan would think if she knew George had another son who was already a toddler.
George did not ask for ten grand for himself. It was for his precious ill son who needed the
money.
If Dylan knew the man who abused her and Peachie could give up everything, even his dignity, for his son, Melanie wondered if Dylan would regret marrying him.
However, that thought only flashed through her mind. Melanie did not think further as it was Dylanâs choice. She had to bear the consequences.
