Chapter 502
The Unfaithful Mr. Scott ( Melanie Smith )
Chapter 502
Henry might be mad at Viola because her appearance without an invitation had embarrassed him.
Melanie knew this, yet she did nothing.
Ignoring Violaâs stare, Melanie was happy to have this meal with Henry.
Just as they finished eating, Landon came over and whispered to Henry, âMr. Henry, the photographer is here.â
Smiling, Henry took Melanie by her arm, saying, âCome on. Take a photo with me.â
Melanie felt awkward and wanted to reject his invitation, but she saw the joy on Henryâs face. She had no choice but to swallow her words.
Henry had always shown her kindness, and she should accept such a simple request from the old man.
Melanie helped Henry up and happened to see Viola approaching them with a pale face. Viola looked at Eugene, saying, âEugene, my dad called and urged me to go home. Can you please drive me back?â
Eugene glanced at her. Before he could answer, Henry interrupted, âEugene, take a family photo with me.â
Then, he told Melanie, âIâm getting old and need to keep some photos as a remembrance. Mel, stand beside me later.â
Nodding, Melanie helped Henry walk out of the room.
Viola looked at Eugene in disbelief and asked, âAre you going to take a family photo with Melanie?â
Eugeneâs expression changed slightly, but he hid it quickly. His voice sounded cold when he said, âIâll drive you back home later.â
âNo!â Viola shouted. She threw herself into Eugeneâs arms and hugged his waist. Sounding nervous, she expressed her feelings. âNo! I donât want you to take a family photo with Melanie! Who is she? Sheâs just a woman you dumped!
âIâm your girlfriend! Eugene, Iâm your girlfriend!â
Violaâs voice usually sounded soft and gentle when she spoke. However, now that she was streaming, it was sharp and slightly earâpiercing.
Many people were still at the banquet. The venue suddenly went silent as everyone looked at them.
Eugeneâs expression turned ugly, and his gaze was cold. He repeated coldly, âI said Iâll drive you home later.â
âSend me back now, Eugene. I donât want to be here anymore.â
Violaâs mind was in a mess upon seeing Melanie leave with Henry.
She was afraid and subconsciously felt she would lose Eugene if she let him go.
That was the last thing she wanted!
She could not lose Eugene.
As fear grew in Viola, she tightened her hug around Eugeneâs waist.
Suddenly, a cold voice sounded from above her head. âEnough.â
Lifting her head, she looked at Eugene. Tears shimmered in her eyes as she begged, âDonât go there, please?â
Eugene was annoyed and looked at Viola coldly. âToday is my grandfatherâs birthday.â
âIt doesnât matter whether he celebrates it or not. My grandfather doesnât celebrate his birthday,â blurted Viola without thinking twice.
All she cared about was stopping Eugene from going to Melanieâs side. âMoreover, your grandfather is trying to get you and Melanie together. Donât you hate Melanie? Why would
take a family photo with her?â
you
Eugeneâs expression turned gloomy as he squinted his eyes. He was no longer gentle toward Viola. Instead, his voice was cold and indifferent.
He said, âDo you know what youâre talking about?â
