Chapter 826: Too Bullying
He Clings to Me Every Night
Grace Ziegler had waited for a long time and didnât receive any response from Daniel Marshall, nor did she see him rushing to the hospital to visit her.
She couldnât help but show her disappointment and a surge of anger welled up inside her.
Unwilling to give up, Grace Ziegler took the opportunity to fuss about wanting to drink water, deliberately sending the female bodyguard away and immediately called Daniel Marshall.
Grace Ziegler had thought up many ways to appear pitiful. She even intentionally pretended to be seriously ill and mustered the emotions to start crying, but Daniel had turned off his phone, not even giving her a chance to perform.
In an instant, Grace Ziegler became very angry, her whole face darkened, and her eyes turned cold and terrifying.
The female bodyguard came in with two cups of hot water, casually placing them in front of Grace Ziegler and dutifully reminded, âThe cup on the left is hot water, still scalding. Youâll have to wait a bit before drinking. The cup on the right is warm water; you can drink it now.â
Grace Ziegler glared at the female bodyguard with annoyance and asked coldly, âWhere has Chief Daniel Marshall gone?â
The female bodyguard replied quite rudely, âI donât know.â
Grace Ziegler picked up the cup on the left, took a little sip, and in a flash, she splashed the water onto the female bodyguard, loudly scolding, âAre you trying to scald me to death?â
The bodyguard instinctively dodged, but her clothes still got wet.
It had already gotten colder in Serene City, but fortunately, she was wearing a thick coat and did not get burnt.
Containing her anger, the female bodyguard glared at Grace Ziegler and retorted sharply, âI already warned you. You did that on purpose! Youâre not anyone special to Chief Daniel Marshall. I suggest you be sensible, know your place.â
After a moment of silence, Grace Ziegler finally spoke slowly, âWhat did you say? I canât hear, Iâm deaf.â
âMiss Ziegler, are you blind as well?â
This voice spoke very slowly, but it was filled with an intimidating power, and suddenly, Grace Ziegler looked up and locked eyes with the piercing gaze of Assistant Howard.
Immediately, Grace Zieglerâs heart tightened, and her pupils constricted.
Soon, Grace Ziegler regained her composure, put on a weak facade, and spoke in a soft and delicate voice to defend herself, âIâ¦my ears really canât hear, and my reactions are always a few beats slower than others. Just now, my hand also slipped by accident.â
Adam Howard spoke in the calmest of tones yet uttered the most cruel words, leaving no leeway for Grace Ziegler, âWhy didnât your slippery hand slide you away instead? You arenât hard of hearing; you did it on purpose to abuse the bodyguard! I have been standing at the door for three minutes, I saw everything, and I recorded a video.â
Grace Ziegler understood that this female bodyguard was Assistant Howardâs person, and that matters concerning Chief Daniel Marshall were handled by Assistant Howard. It was clear that Assistant Howard was deliberately bullying her.
Indeed, Grace Ziegler had bullied the female bodyguard in a moment of anger, but it was out of emotion; she hadnât intended it personally. It was clearly Assistant Howard, in cahoots with the bodyguard, who was targeting her, looking down on her.
Now that she was recorded on video and facing Assistant Howard, who had never shown her any kindness, Grace Ziegler felt panic and fear. Her hands clung tightly to her clothes and trembled slightly.
Grace Ziegler reigned herself in and continued to play the victim, her eyes reddening and putting on a look as though she was wronged and about to cry.@@novelbin@@
âAssistant Howard, I know you donât like me, you despise me, but do you have to slander me like this? Even if my ears could hear, I would still have a delay, itâs just a natural delay for me!â
âA personâs inherent badness canât be changed, Miss Ziegler, you know very well! And what gives you the right to bully others? Do you really think youâre Mrs. Olivia Marshall? Daniel Marshall just pities you. Do you think youâve grown wings and can fly now?â
