Seeing that the extremely annoying woman had arrived, Simon Howard blocked her and asked coldly, “What are you here for?”

Even though acting weak didn’t work, Grace Ziegler wasn’t about to butt heads with Mr. Howard. Despite hating the person in front of her, she still forced herself to endure and feign understanding, “On the phone, I could tell that Daniel seemed troubled. He’s unhappy, and I’m worried about him, I want to keep him company.”

“The boss is fine, still working overtime. It involves sensitive company secrets, you can’t go inside.”

“Then I’ll wait here for him to come out.”

This woman really has no shame, disgustingly so. Simon Howard glared at Grace Ziegler and said harshly, “That’s not possible. You’re currently on leave and not a part of the company staff. Please leave immediately.”

Grace Ziegler held back the surge of anger in her heart and argued, “I’m simply concerned about him and worried. What’s wrong with one more person keeping him company and comforting him? Rules are rigid, but people are flexible!”

Simon Howard threatened, “If you insist on causing trouble for the boss, I will call Assistant Howard right now to come deal with you.”

Grace Ziegler knew Assistant Howard was always guarding against her, and if Assistant Howard came, things would definitely turn ugly, possibly even backfire.

Although Grace Ziegler was angry, she still sensibly decided to leave.

Given the chance, she would definitely get rid of this detestable man.

Worried that this scheming woman wouldn’t give up and would devise some trick, Simon Howard immediately called Adam Howard.

“That woman came up, and there were no security guards to stop her. Make sure no one gets in without authorization. Daniel hasn’t left yet, and he might be in a very bad mood. Who knows what trouble that woman might cause, you handle it.”

The driver had no intention of turning around, nor stopping the car, and while driving, he said, “Chief Daniel Marshall instructed the security to take you home. You haven’t returned from your leave for the day and can’t come back to Marshall Corporation. If you have any objections, please call Chief Marshall.”

“You…” This is too much! Grace Ziegler was furious, glaring menacingly at the driver, but she didn’t dare say anything more, nor did she call Daniel Marshall.

With the current situation being favorable to her, even if things weren’t going her way, Grace Ziegler wouldn’t ruin the great opportunity; she would endure for now.

When the right time came, she would strike back at everyone standing in her way, clearing them out of her path.

Olivia Jenkins returned to Serene City, and the first thing she did was to replace the bodyguards at the Jenkins Family villa.

She had all of Daniel Marshall’s people removed.

Olivia Jenkins invited Leaf Fiona to the study for a talk, “Thank you for taking care of my grandmother. With your company, her health has much improved. I know you’re one of Daniel’s people. To ensure that my grandmother can continue to live in peace, I am willing to hire you on the same terms that Daniel gave you, but, I have one condition, from now on, you’re my person.”

So, it had come to this, Chief Daniel Marshall had anticipated this beforehand.

Leaf Fiona lowered her gaze slightly, not looking at Olivia Jenkins, “Actually, I’ve grown fond of this place, and would find it hard to leave the old lady so suddenly. If it’s alright with Chief Daniel Marshall, I’d like to continue working for the Jenkins Family.”
