Chapter 801: 801: Really courting death!
He Clings to Me Every Night
Jay Bennettâs respectful toast was accepted by Benjamin Johnson.
Benjamin Johnson also chatted with Jay Bennett a lot, and they drank half a bottle of red wine together.
During that time, Jay Bennett said he wanted to eat some fruit.
Benjamin Johnson went to wash some fruit for Jay Bennett, and then they continued to eat and talk, finishing the rest of the red wine.
Just one bottle of red wine, Benjamin Johnsonâs tolerance wasnât so poor that he should become drunk, but he had woken up that morning.
In the bed, there was only him alone, yet he felt something was off, a situation he had never considered before.
He and Jay Bennett??? Everything that shouldnât have happened, did, and only fragmented memories lingered in his mind.
Even his real memories stopped at last night when they sat together eating and drinking.
He had been careless, allowing Jay Bennett to take advantage of him.
This stupid woman was detestable!
With a low curse, frowning deeply, Benjamin Johnson got up.
In an instant, upon seeing the note Jay Bennett left behind, rage seemed ready to erupt in Benjamin Johnsonâs eyes.
âSorry, I just wanted to have a beautiful memory, just this one, and with it, I am satisfied, even if you think I am despicable and shameless. Rest assured, I wonât appear before you again, I wonât mention last night to anyone, I wonât make any trouble for you. You donât need to look for me, goodbye!â
After reading it, the note was crumpled up tightly in Benjamin Johnsonâs hand, as if he wanted to crush it.
Benjamin Johnsonâs knuckles turned white, his whole fist shaking uncontrollably with suppressed fury.
Throwing on a bathrobe casually, Benjamin Johnson left the bedroom, looking for his phone.
Once he got his phone, Benjamin Johnson immediately called Jay Bennett, only to find the phone had already been turned off.
Without hesitation and changing his clothes, Benjamin Johnson hurried out the door and went to Jay Bennettâs house.
Jay Bennett was not at home at all; furniture and such were all wrapped and protected against dust, it seemed she really was planning to leave Serene City.
Benjamin Johnson stood at Jay Bennettâs place for a while before he left with a cold expression on his face.

Martin Wallace came, and he didnât go directly to Daniel Marshall but went to see Adam Howard first.
âIâm afraid I might get beaten up in a minute, you have to cover for me.â
Adam Howard lifted his eyelids slightly and shot a glance at Martin Wallace, âAre you really getting divorced? Can you actually go through with it?â@@novelbin@@
âWhat do you think? Arenât you a bit worried?â Martin Wallaceâs sharp eyes were fixed on Adam Howard.
Adam Howard responded lightly, âWhat business is it of mine!â
Suddenly, Martin Wallace laughed, teasing, âYo, have you taken the wrong medication?â
âThatâs something you should ask that person over there.â
Martin Wallace sighed, âReally inviting death! I think his wife is absolutely serious this time, stubborn to the point that not even ten bulls could pull her back.â
âI completely understand Olivia Jenkins. Whatever decision she makes, I am not at all surprised; it was bound to happen sooner or later.â
âAm I supposed to shoulder it all alone?â
âAnyway, donât drag me into this, Iâm not getting involved now.â
âTomorrow, at Jordan Bennettâs wedding, weâll all have to meet. What do we do then?â
âWhat business is it of mine, anyway? The awkward one isnât me. I just feel itâs a pity, a first-class beauty ruined by a swine, what can you say to a pig?â
Martin Wallace smirked, arching his brows and looking at Adam Howard, âCome on, accompany me inside, at least let me avoid getting beaten up! Last time, he said if I acted as Olivia Jenkinsâs divorce lawyer again, and came to talk to him about divorce, he wouldnât let me off.
But on second thought, if I donât take the case and some other lawyer does, the whole of Serene City will be buzzing, and Iâm afraid it wonât be easy to handle at that point, after all, weâre brothers!â
Adam Howard glared coldly at Martin Wallace, âGet lost! I told you if I said I wouldnât get involved, I wouldnât.â
