Chapter 799: 799: Get the Divorce Procedures Done

Olivia Jenkins’s almond eyes were filled with disappointment as she disdainfully looked at Daniel Marshall, “Do I need to look at your phone? What you do in the dark will come to light. Don’t you understand this simple truth?”

“Just now, it was Grace Ziegler who texted you, wasn’t it? So, did I check your phone? Don’t you realize that everything you’ve said to me is nonsense?”

Daniel’s dark eyes were unblinkingly fixed on the hysterical Olivia.

The thing he feared most had happened — Olivia had misunderstood him again.

For this, Daniel was disappointed, and his heart ached.

They’d been married for a long time, yet Olivia had never once tried to understand him, to see things from his perspective. She was quick to threaten divorce at the first hint of disagreement.

She was unreasonable, simply because she knew he loved her!

Daniel sighed, his deep voice rang out, “Yes, it was Grace who texted me. So that’s why you’re giving me the cold shoulder, because of her. You got together with Benjamin Johnson just to spite me?”

“I’ve told you before, my relationship with Grace isn’t what you think. Why won’t you believe me? Am I not trustworthy to you? Do you think I’m a despicable person?”

Olivia stared wide-eyed at Daniel, utterly shameless, “Why should I believe you after you lied to me? You said you were on a business trip, in Kyoto. Where were you when I called you?

“I saw you at a grocery store near ResilientCare Hospital. Was I hallucinating? You were buying goods for Grace, who was staying in the VIP ward at ResilientCare Hospital, right? Your so-called business trip was just an excuse to take care of her?”

“You treat every woman around you so well, they’re all your little sisters. You’re not wrong, I am. I’m the one who doesn’t understand, who’s not considerate of your feelings. So we’re clearly not suitable for each other. Let’s get a divorce!”

Olivia kept her tone steady, but the sarcasm on her face betrayed her true feelings.

Her clear almond eyes unmistakably showed her disappointment in their marriage.

Daniel stared in shock at the decisive Olivia.

After more than a few seconds, Daniel’s alluring lips trembled slightly before he finally managed to say shakily, “Darling, let me explain, it’s really not as you think.

Grace’s grandfather got hurt, so I accompanied her to ResilientCare Hospital. She’s deaf now, so I felt it was my responsibility. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to misunderstand or feel upset. I didn’t want you to get involved.”

A frosty layer seemed to form on Olivia’s face, “So you are saying that I’m being unreasonable, that I am not understanding? Since that’s the case, Daniel, we should separate. What’s the point of being together if you’re feeling uncomfortable or mistreated? I’ll contact Martin Wallace later, and whenever you’re available, we can sort out the divorce procedures at the Civil Affairs Bureau. I assure you I will repay any debt owed. As for division of properties, I came into this marriage with nothing, and I’ll leave with nothing.”

“Who said I want to divorce you? Do you think marriage is a child’s game? Olivia Jenkins, can’t we just deal with our problems calmly? Why does it always have to come to divorce?” Daniel’s eyes were filled with a turbulent storm of emotions, the veins on his forehead bulging angrily.

Suddenly, Olivia shrugged Daniel off and left on her own.

Any further explanations would have been pointless. She had had enough, had reached the end of her patience.

“Darling!” Daniel reached out to hold Olivia back once more.@@novelbin@@

Olivia glared at Daniel disgustedly, “Let go, you disgust me!”
