Chapter 799: 799: Get the Divorce Procedures Done
He Clings to Me Every Night
Olivia Jenkinsâs almond eyes were filled with disappointment as she disdainfully looked at Daniel Marshall, âDo I need to look at your phone? What you do in the dark will come to light. Donât you understand this simple truth?â
ââ¦â
âJust now, it was Grace Ziegler who texted you, wasnât it? So, did I check your phone? Donât you realize that everything youâve said to me is nonsense?â
Danielâs dark eyes were unblinkingly fixed on the hysterical Olivia.
The thing he feared most had happened â Olivia had misunderstood him again.
For this, Daniel was disappointed, and his heart ached.
Theyâd been married for a long time, yet Olivia had never once tried to understand him, to see things from his perspective. She was quick to threaten divorce at the first hint of disagreement.
She was unreasonable, simply because she knew he loved her!
Daniel sighed, his deep voice rang out, âYes, it was Grace who texted me. So thatâs why youâre giving me the cold shoulder, because of her. You got together with Benjamin Johnson just to spite me?â
âIâve told you before, my relationship with Grace isnât what you think. Why wonât you believe me? Am I not trustworthy to you? Do you think Iâm a despicable person?â
Olivia stared wide-eyed at Daniel, utterly shameless, âWhy should I believe you after you lied to me? You said you were on a business trip, in Kyoto. Where were you when I called you?
âI saw you at a grocery store near ResilientCare Hospital. Was I hallucinating? You were buying goods for Grace, who was staying in the VIP ward at ResilientCare Hospital, right? Your so-called business trip was just an excuse to take care of her?â
âYou treat every woman around you so well, theyâre all your little sisters. Youâre not wrong, I am. Iâm the one who doesnât understand, whoâs not considerate of your feelings. So weâre clearly not suitable for each other. Letâs get a divorce!â
Olivia kept her tone steady, but the sarcasm on her face betrayed her true feelings.
Her clear almond eyes unmistakably showed her disappointment in their marriage.
Daniel stared in shock at the decisive Olivia.
After more than a few seconds, Danielâs alluring lips trembled slightly before he finally managed to say shakily, âDarling, let me explain, itâs really not as you think.
Graceâs grandfather got hurt, so I accompanied her to ResilientCare Hospital. Sheâs deaf now, so I felt it was my responsibility. I didnât tell you because I didnât want you to misunderstand or feel upset. I didnât want you to get involved.â
A frosty layer seemed to form on Oliviaâs face, âSo you are saying that Iâm being unreasonable, that I am not understanding? Since thatâs the case, Daniel, we should separate. Whatâs the point of being together if youâre feeling uncomfortable or mistreated? Iâll contact Martin Wallace later, and whenever youâre available, we can sort out the divorce procedures at the Civil Affairs Bureau. I assure you I will repay any debt owed. As for division of properties, I came into this marriage with nothing, and Iâll leave with nothing.â
âWho said I want to divorce you? Do you think marriage is a childâs game? Olivia Jenkins, canât we just deal with our problems calmly? Why does it always have to come to divorce?â Danielâs eyes were filled with a turbulent storm of emotions, the veins on his forehead bulging angrily.
Suddenly, Olivia shrugged Daniel off and left on her own.
Any further explanations would have been pointless. She had had enough, had reached the end of her patience.
âDarling!â Daniel reached out to hold Olivia back once more.@@novelbin@@
Olivia glared at Daniel disgustedly, âLet go, you disgust me!â
