Chapter 798: 798: The Gaze Doesn't Work
He Clings to Me Every Night
Olivia Jenkins pushed Daniel Marshall away and made a beeline for downstairs.
Daniel Marshall followed Olivia Jenkins downstairs.
âHoney, are you mad at me?â
âNo, Iâm just hungry. I need breakfast.â
Despite Olivia Jenkinsâ denial and composed demeanor, Daniel Marshall could sense her indifference.
Did what heâd just said bother her?
Itâs not that he didnât want a child now, thereâs just too much going on this year and it wasnât the best timing.
With his motherâs situation unresolved, Joseph Charles still untraceable, there were bound to be further complications. He didnât want Olivia Jenkins and their future child in danger.
Maybe next year, when their lives were back on track, they could have as many children as they wanted. There was no need to rush.
âHoneyâ¦â
âIâm having breakfast and I donât want to talk. Please donât disturb me.â
Daniel Marshall watched as Olivia Jenkins quietly enjoyed her dumplings, her face revealing nothing.
Daniel Marshall started to say something but then stopped, spending his meal watching Olivia Jenkins and eating.
Suddenly, Daniel Marshallâs phone rang.
Daniel Marshall took it out, checked it, and then put it back in his pocket without responding to the message. He simply frowned.
Finishing her dumplings, Olivia Jenkins left the table. Not once had she looked at Daniel Marshall or spoken a word to him.@@novelbin@@
All of a sudden, Daniel Marshall grabbed Olivia Jenkinsâ hand, âHoney, letâs talk.â
Olivia Jenkins turned to look at him.
Opening his irresistible lips slightly, Daniel Marshall spoke in a soft, yet stern voice, âHoney, I want you to keep a distance from Benjamin Davis. What if he hurts you, like what happened last night? It could create trouble for us if the media gets hold of rumor and itâs just not good for us.â
Olivia Jenkins laughed sarcastically, âIs it wrong for me to have friends? Have you seen us overstepping boundaries? Daniel Marshall, even though Iâm your wife, I have the right to make friends. You have no place to interfere, just as I donât interfere with your affairs.â
âHave you forgotten how Benjamin Davis hurt you in the past? Does your wound heal without the pain?â The dangerous glint in Daniel Marshallâs eyes and his slow, intimidating speech made his point clear.
Olivia Jenkins brushed Daniel Marshallâs hand off her in irritation, her expression laced with mockery, âYes, I am that kind of person who forgets the pain once the wound is healed. Moreover, Iâm also short-sighted, having not seen through people around me yet. However, I trust my instincts. Benjamin Davis may have been a jerk in the past, but he is more open and fair than you. Who I befriend is none of your business. You should mind your own matters.â
As Olivia Jenkins made to leave, Daniel Marshall grabbed her again, âWhatâs eating you? Speak out. If you have complaints about me or something thatâs making you angry, let me know. We can sort it out together, okay?â
Olivia Jenkins was silent for a few seconds before she looked at Daniel Marshall calmly and responded offhandedly, âDaniel Marshall, letâs get a divorce! Iâm really tired. I canât think of anything thatâs worth enduring anymore.â
In that moment, Daniel Marshallâs eyes widened, his forehead creasing in a deep frown, his facial expression twitched slightly, âYou find it amusing to quarrel like this every time?â
Olivia Jenkins snorted with laughter, âDaniel Marshall, it should be me asking you. Do you find it fun to mess with me? Do you think Iâm a fool? Why didnât you respond to the message just now? Fear of being found out? Or worried if I acted like a tigress and bullied someone, would it bother you?â
Daniel Marshallâs body stiffened suddenly, his forehead creasing in agony, âDid you snoop into my phone?â
