Chapter 782: 782: Ulterior Motives

Olivia Jenkins laughed, lightly touching her forehead, “I can get you McDonald’s, but you have to eat less.”

“You’re not three months along yet, your pregnancy is not stable yet, you have to be careful and not eat anything too heavy. The doctor must have told you, your diet has to be light and nutritious.”

Abigail nodded, “The doctor did say that, but, it’s hard to resist. Since becoming pregnant, my tastes have really changed, I can’t control it.”

With that, Abigail looked pitifully at Olivia.

Olivia shook her head, “I’ve been a doctor, I know, for the sake of the baby, please try to endure. I care about my future daughter-in-law or son-in-law, so, I can’t make an exception for you.”@@novelbin@@

Abigail puckered her cheeks in pretend frustration, her expression still pitiful, “I’ll just have the chicken wings, not the burgers.”

“In consideration of our friendship, I’ll allow you to have two wings. If you eat too many, you’ll actually find it greasy and ending up feeling nauseous.”

Abigail blinked her big eyes at Olivia, “You’re amazing, you really guessed what I was thinking. Actually, I don’t eat a lot, I just crave. Once I’ve eaten, it doesn’t taste as good as I imagined.”

“Come on, mom-to-be, I understand you better. I’ll get you a bag of dried fruit later, you can eat it from time to time, at least it can satisfy your craving. You’re actually better off than many others, some people can’t even get out of bed because they’re vomiting.”

Abigail’s face lit up with happiness, looking like a blooming peach. She playfully nudged Olivia, “Choosing each other as future in-laws is really the wisest decision!”

“By the way, does President Bennett agree with this?”

“Who cares, my word is final. Olivia, you should get pregnant soon so we can keep each other company!”

Olivia’s eyes flickered for a moment with a subtle change in expression, “Let’s go with the flow. Recently, I’ve been busy too, and will likely be until the end of the year. I should have more free time next year.”

“I wish you were in the same boat as me, I really need a companion.”

Valerie laughed, “I can’t help with this issue. I don’t know anything, I don’t have any experience or understanding of what you’re talking about.”

“You’re gloating now, just wait till you experience it yourself. This is called making the best of a bad situation!” sighed Abigail.

Olivia walked in the middle, arm in arm with Valerie and Abigail, “Let’s go, get McDonald’s first and then we go to the baby supplies store to prepare some things for the baby.”

Abigail’s face was full of blissful smiles, her eyes squinting with laughter, “I’ve seen baby stuff online, it’s so cute, I really want to buy everything. I think I could do a baby goods special event, after all I need to pick out baby stuff.”

Olivia agreed wholeheartedly, seeing it as a feasible idea.

There’s still plenty of time, they can slowly select the brands and prioritize quality.

Baby products must be safe and trustworthy for anyone to use.

In fact, while accompanying Daniel during his treatment, Olivia watched many baby videos and saw so many adorable babies. She found herself inexplicably drawn to those angelic innocent smiles.

Such feelings were indeed healing.

She wondered if Daniel will also truly like it, is he still resistant to the idea of having their child?

Would there be a day when he surprises her by being the one to suggest having a baby?
