...
North Pole, 300 years later...
Third Person P.O.V
North's voice could be heard singing along to dramatic music. He sets a heavy ice block on his desk, humming along as he begins to saw it with a chainsaw.
His sleeve was pulled up, revealing tattoos littering his arm and Naughty written on it.
"Still waiting for cookies!" North calls to the elves, making them look up from eating them.
North spins on his seat as he continues to hum along, the elves rushing to carry the plate of cookies.
He pushes aside some tools, grabbing a toothpick sized hammer and chipping away at the block with it. He uses a magnify glass as he carefully works, vocalizing to the music and finishing as he raises up his finished ice train.
North blows the extra ice from it, setting it on the ice-made track he created.
He laughs as it whistles, sliding along the tracks. "Yes!"
An elf pauses, looking at his friend and pointing to him with an angry look, gesturing to the tray. His friend spits the cookie out as North sees them.
"Ah! Finally!"
He grabs a cookie, munching on it and humming in appreciation before laughing as he watches the train.
The train flies up as North dramatically hums, waving his arms as it grows wings and flies towards the door.
The door was slammed open, a Yeti mumbling gibberish as the train shatters onto the floor.
"Ah!" North exclaims in disappointment and horror, gesturing to the train.
"Oh!" The Yeti gasps with wide eyes, his hands flying to his face.
"Ah!!" North yells in pain and sadness, shaking his fists near his face in distress.
"Oh!!" The Yeti yelps, exclaiming in fear as his hands flail around in alarm.
North takes a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"How many times have I told you to knock?" North demands with a sigh, his voice full of anger.
The Yeti mumbles gibberish, gesturing frantically around.
"What?" North rises with narrowed eyes, his eyebrows furrowing. "the Globe?"
He grabs his sword, making his way out of his workspace.
...
"Shoo with your pointy heads!" North commands as he walks through the elves. "Why are you always under boot?"
He pushes through two Yetis, watching the Globe in confusion as the bright lights begin to dim, some flickering out.
"What is this?" North glares at the globe with confusion as he mutters, watching more lights die. "Have you checked the axis? Is rotation balanced?!" He demands quickly, the Yeti quickly replying in gibberish with the same amount of confusion.
North looks up as papers begin to fly around, a black sand crawling across the Globe. His eyes widen as the elves all jingle around, rushing away in fear.
He watches as the sand swallows the Globe before it quickly raises upward, dispersing. The elves duck behind objects, watching in fear as the wind settles.
The black sand races across the floor, making the Yetis and North gasp as they watch it. It moves up and forms the silhouette of a person, the man laughing wickedly before vanishing.
"Can it be...?" North murmurs, his eyes widening as he gasps, "Dingle!"
The elves jump, each one ready. They look at each other in confusion, wondering which one he meant.
"Make preparations. We are going to have company."
North grabs a handle, twisting it and pushing it.
Northern lights spread across the globe, alerting the other Guardians.
...
A small fairy chitters as it quickly flies around, approaching a sleeping child.
She holds a shiny coin, and wiggles under his pillow, swapping the coin for the tooth. The boy yawns, otherwise undisturbed.
...
Thousands of toothfairies make their way to the palace, all doing their jobs.
"Eighteen central incisors!" Tooth instructs quickly. "Moscow, sector nine, twenty two incisors, eighteen premolars."
A fairy places the tooth she collected into a special golden container just for that child, tucking it away as she awaits her next move.
"Uh-oh! Heavy rain advisory!"
Other fairies get their coins, alert as Tooth speaks.
"Des Moines, we've got a cuspid at twenty-third Maple. Head out!" Tooth instructs, gasping as she stops one of her helpers.
"Wait! It's her first tooth," she coos as some fairies gather around her. "Have you ever seen a more adorable lateral incisor in all of your life?" Tooth gushes, looking at the tooth. "Look how she flossed!"
A fairy squeaks, gaining her attention. Tooth gasps as she looks to where she was pointing, her feathers slightly ruffling at the sight of the Northern lights.
She narrows her eyes, nodding as she flies to North, a handful of fairies following.
...
"My fellow Guardians..."
A little girl falls asleep, smiling softly as a yellow sand hovers above her, giving her sweet dreams of her playing soccer.
"It is our job to watch over the children of the world and keep them safe. To bring wonder, hope, and dreams."
Sandman waves his arms, controlling his magic to spread across to every sleeping child.
"And so I have called us all here for one reason, and one reason only. The children are in danger."
Sandy looks towards the Northern lights with wide eyes, narrowing them in confusion before he changes his sand cloud into a plane. He adjusts his goggles, and drives to the North pole.
...
"An enemy we have kept at bay for centuries has finally decided to strike back."
Colorful Easter eggs waddle around a small tunnel, spinning as a grey blur flashes past them.
"We alone can stop him."
Bunnymund races through his tunnels, flowers sprouting behind him as he hops along.
His ears swivel as a tunnel opens up, and he leaps out, standing tall. He inhales deeply before quickly hugging his arms, shivering.
"Oh! It's freezing!" Bunny sighs, and begins racing the rest of the way. "Oh, I can't feel my feet! Can't feel my feet!"
...
"Cookies? Eggnog, anyone?" North questions as Sandy flies around the globe.
"This better be good, North!" Bunny angrily replies, puffing some warm air onto his freezing paws.
"Sandy! Thank you for coming," North greets as Sandy jumps from his plane, floating to him.
Sandy waves his arms on question, making North nod.
"I know, I know. But I obviously would not have called you all here unless it was serious." North explains, making Tooth gently shush her fairies. "The Boogeyman was here!" Bunny looks up from the fire, alert. "At the Pole!"
"Pitch?" Tooth gasps, flying towards him. "Pitch Black? Here?" She looks at Sandy, making him look at her before facing North.
"Yes," he nods, gesturing dramatically to the globe. "There was black sand covering the Globe!"
"W-what do you mean, black sand?" Bunny questions with furrowed brows, hopping and joining his side as he works on painting an egg.
"And then a shadow!" North dramatically continues, making Bunny's face fall.
"Hold on, hold on. I thought you said you saw Pitch," Bunny interrupts with a scowl, looking at the Globe.
"Well..." North rubs his neck, clearing his throat. "Not... exactly."
"Not exactly?" Bunny snorts in disbelief, shaking his head. "Can ya believe this guy?"
Sandy shakes his head, a question mark forming above it.
"Yeah. You said it, Sandy." Bunny mumbles in agreement, nodding as he goes back to painting.
"Look!" North sharply says with a heavy sigh, waving his arm. "He's up to something very bad. I can feel it!"
He pauses, shaking his stomach with a pointed look.
"In my belly!"
Tooth's fairies float to his stomach, curiously looking at it.
Bunny looks up from North's stomach, "Hang on, hang on. You mean to say... You summoned me here three days before Easter because of your belly?" He demands, pointing to his stomach with his paintbrush. "Mate, if I did this to you three days before Christmas--!"
Bunny snarls as he points to North angrily, North scoffing and rolling his eyes. Sandy grabs a drink, sipping on it as he listens to the two argue with an unbothered expression.
"Please, Bunny," North interrupts with a snort, grabbing the egg. "Easter is not Christmas."
Bunny scornfully laughs as North messes with the egg, tossing it and catching it.
"Here we go," Bunny growls under his breath, sighing sharply. "North, I don't have time for this! I've still got two million eggs to finish up!"
Sandy pauses when he looks up before noticing an elf lapping at his drink. He yanks it away with a glare, making the elf fall.
"No matter how much you paint, is still egg," North replies nonchalantly, snickering softly.
Sandy gasps as he looks up, noticing Manny shining on them.
"Look, mate," Bunny grits out, taking the egg from North with a scowl. "I'm dealing with perishables!"
Sandy frantically points to the Moon, dropping his cup.
North laughs as Bunny continues, "Right? You've got all year to prepare!" He yells, painting the egg.
Sandy tries to whistle, only a faint twinkling noise being heard as he does so.
North smacks the hand holding the egg, making Bunny yelp as he frantically catches it.
"Why are rabbits always so nervous?" North questions in amusement, grinning as he rolls his eyes.
"And why are you always such a blowhard?" Bunny shoots back as Sandy waves a sand flag above his head, Tooth talking indistinctly.
"Tooth!" North interrupts, making her pause in front of the moon. "Can't you see we're trying to argue?"
"Sorry," Tooth sarcastically apologizes, waving her arms around as the Moon shines brightly behind her. "Not all of us get to work one night a year. Am I right, Sandy?"
He gasps as they look at him, quickly nodding with a smile as he points an arrow up.
Tooth tilts her head in question before gasping as she senses more teeth. "San Diego! Sector 2!" She rambles, addressing her fairies.
"Come on, mate. Pitch went out with the Dark Ages," Bunny argues with annoyance and shrugs. "We made sure of it."
Sandy deflates in annoyance before noticing an elf licking at the discarded cup.
"I know it was him! We have serious situation," North replies firmly back, his voice full of annoyance.
Sandy floats to the elf, angrily looking between the arguing men before grabbing the elf.
"Well, I've got a serious situation with some eggs."
He raises the elf by his hat, violently shaking it so the bell on his hat rings loudly, gaining their attention. He drops the elf as the arguing stops and the group turn to him, Sandy forming a moon above his head and angrily pointing to Manny. North follows the motion, perking up when he sees the moon.
"Ah! Man in Moon!" North greets when he notices him, smiling fondly before turning to Sandy with a huff. "Sandy! Why didn't you say something?"
Sandy's eye twitches before he puffs out angrily as sand-steam hisses from his ears.
"It's been a long time, old friend!" North happily speaks, stepping a bit closer to the opening above. "What is big news?"
Manny's light shines brightly over the Guardian symbol on the floor, revealing Pitch's silhouette on the ground. Tooth softly gasps, North's expression hardening as Bunny's ears perk, his eyes widening.
"It is Pitch," Bunny mumbles with a frown, looking at North.
North raises his brows with a smirk, patting his stomach smugly.
He turns back to the moon. "Manny... What must we do?"
The light slowly focuses on the G, making the floor open up and two large crystals appear.
"What?" North breathes out in confusion, his eyes widening.
"Uh, guys? You know what this means?!" Tooth grins in excitement, looking between the men.
"He's choosing... two new Guardians?" North breathes out as he looks between the crystals.
"What? Why?" Bunny demands with a defensive expression, watching as the crystals light up.
"Must be big deal," North replies as his eyes remain on the crystals. "Manny thinks we need help."
Bunny scoffs softly with disbelief, rolling his eyes. "Since when do we need help?"
"I wonder who they're gonna be!" Tooth says with excitement and smiles, her fairies chittering around her.
Sandy forms a four leaf clover over his head, tilting his head.
"Maybe the Leprechaun?" Tooth questions, humming in thought as Sandy nods.
"Please not the Groundhog and Leprechaun, please not the Groundhog and Leprechaun," Bunny chants in fear as the crystals shine brighter.
North gasps in excitement as the crystals reveal the figures. He pauses with wide eyes, looking between the two figures.
Jack's arm was wrapped around (Y/N)'s shoulders, a grin on his face and a small smile on hers as she holds her bow, Jack's staff in his other hand as they stand side by side.
"... Jack Frost and Cupid," North recognizes, nodding as his eyebrows raise with a hint of surprise towards Jack.
"Yes! Another girl!" Tooth exclaims with a bright smile as she twirls, cheering as her fairies chitter in excitement. "Oh! This is so great!"
"Uh. I take it back, the Groundhog's fine," Bunny grimaces at the sight of Jack, shaking his head as Tooth huffs.
"Hey, as long as he helps protect the children, right?" Tooth lightly scolds as Bunny scoffs, rolling his eyes.
"But Jack Frost?!" Bunny yells with disbelief and anger, shaking his head.
"(Y/N), I can understand! She brings love and happiness wherever she goes!" Bunny exclaims as he gestures to (Y/N) with a nod, scowling as he looks to Jack. "B--But him? He doesn't care about children! All he does is freeze water pipes and mess with my egg hunts! He is an irresponsible, selfish--"
"-- Guardian. Both are Guardians." North cuts him off as he nods, understanding where Manny was coming from as Bunny groans and rolls his eyes.
"(Y/N) is, sure! She should have been one of us ages ago," Bunny agrees with a scowl, scoffing once more. "But Jack Frost? He is many things, but he is not a Guardian!"
